and aww thanks dream710- thats so nice of you!

sorry this is going to be a quick message, as i have to rush and get ready, going to family friends house.

but i just was dying to share this with you all

this is a huge achievement for me personally! because a few months ago i started running. but i was only managing to be able to run for 30 seconds, before my shins would burn in AGONY!!! and then walk till the pain subsided, and then ran for another 30 seconds. and so on, until in total i ran for 10minutes, in 30 second intervals.

then i eventually got up to 1 minute of running - but still - pain in my shins especially my left leg would be really bad!! i would be in agony after each 1 minute of running - and would walk until the pain subsided, and then go for the next 1 minute.. and so on.

but today...after not running for over a week and half. i was able to run for 1 minute with NO pain in my shins! i couldnt believe it!!!!!! and at the beginning of the work out. i managed to run for 2 minutes. and then did 1 minute interval of running/walking.
also threw in a couple of 30 second sprints.

the only thing was after each one minute run. i was REALLY out of breath, but no pain in my legs. i can deal with the out of breath and even the side stitch... the pain in my left shins would be ****!

i was sooooooooooooooooooooooo happy and pleased with myself! i just couldnt believe it!!!

i'm so happy today...;a very small achievement for me.. just wanted to share it with you lovely ladies!

thanks girls!

total accumulated run time = 13minutes.

afterwards i was on a high! lol couldnt stop dancing around, it must have been the lovely happy chemicals endorphins hehehehe. i cant wait to get back out there and see if i can do it tommorow!!
OMG! WTG Girly!!!

I used to and still do sometimes get that SAME problem which is why I pretty much decided that running isn't an option for, at least not at this point in my journey, so I am sooo proud of you! Keep going girl and remember to stretch stretch and stretch some more! I looked up Shin stretches a while back and found that they really do help a lot before and after I jog/run.

Just checking in for the day. I let April out this morning and when she came back she had a big rawhide bone in her mouth. We don't give her rawhide so we wondered where it came from! We still don't know! Hubby checked the fences to make sure she didn't get out and into another yard, so the only thing we can think of is that someone {a neighbor?} gave it to her?? We took it away much to her disappointment. Weird!

Hubby took the next week off from work so be with me and work on the bathroom with my dad! Yay, This may mean Hubby and I {April, too} will spend a night at my parents house while grout dries, etc. This should be interesting. Mom and I have a workshop for Bible study all day Wed, also. I need to get my things {and self} together. The new year has snuck up on me!

Echo, congrats on your running without pain in your shins!

Looker, Have a nice vacation! I haven't been to Carlsbad in many years but I remember it being beautiful. Hubby and I want to go to Fall Creek Falls sometime this year.

Lizzy, Welcome and whoo-hoo on the 25 miles!

So, I took my dogs for walks this am, 1 mile and the other .4 miles (I have 2 small dogs) and then went for another 25 mile bike ride. I was dying on the way home, it was soooo hot out today. But I finished it. And my butt hurts.

Have fun on vacation, lookergirl! And I feel ya on TOM and not feeling well. That was me on Thursday and Friday.

And Echo - that is awesome!! I started running in June, and wasn't able to run for long intervals either. But was able to build it up and am up to about 2 miles running without much walking (except to cross the street). You're doing great! I'm sure you know this already, but make sure you have good shoes!

Patchwork - that is weird, and I would have taken it away from my dog too.

Hi all
First ONDERCHIC...YOU are the amazing SHRINKING WOMAN I didn't notice that until later WOW! YOU ROCK! You make my 45lb look like peanuts!

Dream and Echo I know you both are inerested in p90x it is an intence program BUT to me was NOT a super hard program. It has a lot of pushup and pullups {which you can use bands for I did} There is alot of PLYO type of exercise {jumping around} Kickboxing jumping jacks also yoga. I LOVE THE PROGRAM by 3 weeks in you can pick up what is called DOUBLES which is what I did and you add an extra 1 hour of Cardio a day. So that made it 2 to 2 1/2 hours a day. The regular program is about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs a day.

Accountibilty for today: P90X Core Synergistics [1hr] Turbo scuplt [45min] Ab jam[20min] Trail hike with dog 500 ft climb [1hr]

This is a great thread!!!!!
EVERYONE KEEP KEEPING FIT!!
