Echo, I bought some bands as Ross {TJMaxx}, I think they were Valero? I stared with blue then went to black, then later discovered I should have been using the much lighter red. I exercise in my living room, the previous owners removed a door leading to the hallway and I stuck a screwdriver into the metal loops of the hinge and taped the band to the handle. I was terrified that the band/screwdriver was going to come flying my way so I was always pulling lightly. I bought a Iron Gym for my next program, I still can't do a pullup but I learned that you can modify by standing on a chair and letting your legs take most of the weight off you arms. I found this method okay. I've heard of another product that is basically a rubber ball with a loop attached to it; you close a door with the ball on the other side and the loop hanging over the top of the door, then you loop your band/tubing handle through the loop and you don't have to worry about it coming loose. I looked for a link but can't find one.
I'll post here so that I can add one more thing to make sure I get my exercise in. I always thought I was making a difference by parking further away from the door, a swim/water aerobics here and there, using the stairs instead of the elevator, etc. All of those things are good but it wasn't making me move enough. I started Level 1 of the 30-Day Shred on Monday and I'm enjoying the effects it is already having on my body. I wasn't so happy the first day or so! However, I'm getting used to it. I'm getting back into this thing called exercise one step at a time. We'll see what else I add once I get through these 30 days with Jillian.
10- Level 1/Day 1 30-Day Shred
11- L1/D2 30DS
12- L1/D3 30DS
13- L1/D4 30DS
14- L1/D5 30DS

well everyone is doing beautifully. I am feeling really sore from the core shred I did yesterday. hah! And I wasn't sore afterwards so I thought it was a piece of cake. My intercostals are sore now!
so strength--I took a break.
I did 18 min on stationary at 16 mph with 2 min intervals at 23 mph. Then I finished up my cardio with good ol club dancing that emphasized my core. For a total of 30 min.
13--Bike to work and back, about 40 min/13K; 5K on the treadmill, 31:20; 6-min yoga class
14--Bike to work and back, about 40 min/13K; 45-min yoga class; bike to a friend's and back, about 16K/50 min
