Scale is down .6 today.

Yesterday I made vegetable soup. We were out of italian bread so DH went to the local store. We pay $1 at Walmart but it was over $4 at the local store for a little bit bigger loaf. When Walmart raised the price of their Italian bread people complained so they went back to $1 but made the loaves smaller. I shouldnt even be eating it but its so good. Anyway, DH said the soup looked like it had maggots in it. 😅. So complimentary. I think that was because I put some alphabet noodles in it which I never do.

I dont know what we will eat today. I wil have leftover soup for lunch.

Carol Sue I quit buying bread, because I noticed that I was the one eating it. DH just eats it when we get take out. When we eat McDs, he takes the top half of the bread off and throws it away. Now I just take the bread off and make a CB salad. The local chicken place has the best rolls and gravy so I eat one roll and DH eats 2 with gravy. We only eat from those places once a few times within a couple of months so I figure that isn't bad. But then I could be wrong since I've gained instead of losing.

Weight up .4 lbs from the chipped beef. FBG was 122 so it is a good thing we don't eat that very often any more. BP 110/62. So that isn't bad.

I've decided to go back to eating brunch. I will start eating at noon and stop at 5 pm with a protein shake. This makes itr easier to take my pills. We are having cod fish today so I'm the cook today. I've got to make another batch of DH zero sugar brownies. That is what I need to stop eating.

I listened to Dr. Mark Hyman today on IF. He says short term fasts are better for us and it is important to eat breakfast. He suggests fasting 12 hrs,, 14 or 16 hrs. I think he says he fasts 16 hrs. Longer fasts of 48 hrs can be done, but he seems to suggest longer fasts should only be done while under medical supervision.

I still intend to do a 18 or 19 hr fast, but today's eating window was 8 and 1/2 hrs. Also protein should be a minimum o 25 g per meal and make your breakfast a larger meal than your other meals. Stop eating at least 3 hrs before bedtime.

I consider today a good day.

Sleep continues to be good. I dont know if I will ever go back to using my Cpap but my oxygen is always good overnight accordingvto my Fitbit. 94 or above.

The scale continues to go up. 176.2. That was due to the Mac and Cheese DH wanted last night. I completely overate, not bxecause I was hungry but because It was good. We have no leftovers.

I love DR Mark Hyman. I have read so much information from him. I think everyone has their own ideas about fasting and we have to decide which one is best for us based on our own experience. I would like to do 4-5 hour eating window, but DH is back to feeding me every time he eats,and being a major foodie, I dont stop him.

I always have a big breakfast at 11 am or so. It is eggs,sauteed mushrooms,,sliced tomato ansd 1 slice of SL toast. Rarely varies. We like dinner by 4 and my breakfast keeps me full til then. I need to go back to eating more protein and more vegetables. Meat is just so expensive, and I prefer pork. I dont know if he would be willing to eat more pork and chicken. He also loves vegetables but wants potatoes or rice at most dinners. Before I would eat meat and vegetables and no starch, but I do like rice and potatoes and have been eating them lately. I need to change my evil ways!

Carol Sue I like the 4-5 hr eating window too. I also like Dr. Westman and Dr. Berg woe. I heard Dr. Hyman say about how to choose your food to eat is "if it is a plant you can it, if it is made in a plant don't eat it because it is processed. That made me wonder how he feels about potatoes because it is a plant. I would assume you could eat them as long as they aren't processed but home cooked. Right now I try to stop eating by 5 or 6 pm. I am working toward eating only 2 meals between 11 am and stopping at 4 pm so I can get back to eating 5 hrs a day. I'm working with Dr. Berg's suggestion of 3 meals for a while working toward 2 meals. The main thing is that I need to get plenty of protein in my plan.

I did enjoy the way Dr. Hyman explained the importance of protein and exercises when eating this way. It has given me the incentive I needed to get back to it.

He says cook your eggs in olive oil. I thought that would be awful, but fried my eggs in it this morning and it was good. He explained that soy/seed oils are so dangerous to use which is what I think I heard RFK Jr say. I do hope he will be able to get our food healthier or at least give us the choice to eat healthier. I'm trying to eat healthier where I can.

Weight stayed the same as yesterday and my FBG was 100 and bp was back to normal. I'm doing very well.

My sleep is very good. I've got a catch in a muscle on my left hip so I took a tramadol. I hated taking it because I thought I would be groggy today but I'm no different today than usual.

I did a 5 hr eating window. I am so happy that I was able to do it today. I will take this one day at a time. I won't eat again until we get home from having our lab draw tomorrow.

Sleep was good inspite of stressful day yesterday. Today we are taking my car for inspection.

Scale is down 1.2 to 175. I want a whoosh.

I have read of so many woes. I can only eat what I want. Its too hard to eliminate foods I like. I need a low,stress lifestyle. It all goes back to how I ate during my first diet. Eat less and move more. It worked then,even though they now say it does not work.

Weight down 1.2 lbs at 170.4 lbs. I hope to have it under 170 lbs again by this weekend. FBG 102 bp is good. Since I'm fasting for blood draw this afternoon, I hope to have an eating window of 3 hrs today.

Carol Sue I don't lose like others who do low carb/keto because I don't have a rule that I can't have some foods ever again. However, there are foods I try not to eat because I know how they affect my body. I do like eating within a 5 hr eating window, but have to do it as it will fit into my lifestyle. For example, we will have KFC for dinner and I will have my 2 pieces of chicken, a biscuit and slaw. Once in a while we have Chinese food. We just don't do it often.

We have to go to Sam's and then DH go pick up our prescriptions before we can come home. Busy day.

I managed to eat within a 4 hr eating window today. They only gave us 2 legs and a thigh instead of the 3 legs and a thigh we usually order. So I ate only the thigh and told DH to eat the 2 legs which is what he normally eats. I was so surprised that I was totally satisfied eating less than usual, because l even ate less of the slaw and my keto/low carb dessert. I don't think I will bother ordering 3 legs from now on. Net carbs today were still less than 70 g. I'm very pleased that I did good today.

Sleep was good last night. I have to talk to my doctor about Benedryl. Last night I read that taking Benedryl daily is harmful. It said 50 mg daily which is usually for sleep but I only take 25. I will try to sleep without it. I like that its an allergy med because it also helps me breathe better at night.

The scale went down .2 to 174.8. I had potty issues this morning. I dont know why. I havent had them for a,while.

Blood sugar was good but i dont remember the number.

I dont know if we are goingvtovthe casino or not. He hasnt mentioned it.

We got our test results back from Primary Care and my A1c was 5.4 one point below prediabetic range. DH was 7. Everything was normal except for the things that are out of range with oncology test results. My oncology test results are about the same. I think the only thing I have control of is drinking water and the warm weather will make that easier to do.

Weight is the same as yesterdays. FBG was 106 and bp back down but can't remember actually #. I am thrilled with that after eating KFC for dinner yesterday. Half my exercises done for today. I will do the rest of them done before dinner. We will have tilapia for dinner today.

I talked to DS last night and she is doing great. Besides getting tired after exercises. I will relax a bit before doing the rest of them for today.

Have a good day whether you go to casino or not.

Weight is bouncing. Not sure why it bounced up since I ate fish yesterday. Weight 171.2; FBG 99 and BP 115/59. So that is very good. I wasn't hungry this morning so I had 2 c coffee and a protein shake. I will have a Healthy Choice dinner for dinner. DH wants his canned spaghetti for dinner.

Had my NP appointment and all is fine. I had my infusion and NP said I will have another infusion April 18 and then have another CT Scan to see how things are before I have another infusion in May. We got Arby's and came home. ate and then slept. I'm not sure why I am always so tired afterwards.

Weight was 171.6 so just bouncing around. FBG was 106 and bp was good. Now I'm going to bed. Goodnight.

Slept good last night even after sleeping a lot after my infusion. Drug out of bed because this is Saturday and I call DD today. I can't disappoint her so I got up. I was thrilled to see that I am back down under 170 weighing 169.2. Although it is barely under 170, it was good to see this morning. FBG 112 and bp was 124/60 so that is good since I didn't have any veggies yesterday.

I am doing well. We went to the casino again yesterday. We went to eat the fish dinner. But you know he wants to gamble, too. He is on a terrible losing streak. Weneed to go back to the other casino.

I sleep very good now, but because I take Benedryl. Very restful. My weight is going up though while blood sugar is going down. Bloodsugar was 116 wich is good for me. Weightwas 176.,6. Up .8.. I want.it.to.go.down!
