I'm grateful for this thread. Life is busy but I can always find time to pop in here and plug my numbers into the spreadsheet. It's good to see so many sticking with it.
That's awesome!! I know exactly what you mean. The last time I was consistently losing I felt the same way, the numbers became secondary to how wonderful I was feeling!! Great work!!

219 lbs! 15.8 down 15.2 to go
Oh, long weekends... I love them so much but they always wreck my weight loss plans, haha! I weighed in at like 3 pounds heavier than I was Friday this morning, but I'm 100% sure it's bloating from all the alcohol and other delicious but crappy things I ate this weekend. I'm not going to beat myself up about it, especially because TOM starts this week, but I am re-trying low carb out again starting today. It's not a permanent solution for me, but I think doing it for a week or two and sticking to it might help jump start my body a little bit and get me back on track.
On a happier note, I saw a bunch of friends this weekend who I hadn't seen in about a year and it seemed like people really did notice that I've gotten smaller. It's nice to get that feedback from other people, especially because I have a hard time seeing it myself -- when I look in the mirror I still see what I saw 40 pounds ago. I also noticed this weekend that a lot of what I've been thinking was extra fat has now turned into loose skin. Not exactly a great thing, but at least it isn't fat I guess? Now I've got to try to figure out how to tighten it all up... haha joy! Anybody have this problem/a solution?
Lol, Rie- I stole your spreadsheet for this challenge. Hope that's okay?
As expected, I'm back from Branson with a temporary gain of 2lbs. The tattoo is beautiful and it was fricking painful as heck, lol. I will post a picture later on this week.
Down one lonely pound this week, not the roarin start I wanted, but I think there are monthly factors in play, so hopefully it'll mean a more impressive number next week! Fingers crossed!

Looks like low carbing may be working, at least for now. Down one pound today from last time. Might just be water weight, but I'll take what I can get right now. This low carb stuff is hard *** work! But i can also see why it's effective--removing most carbs is forcing me to eat a lot more of the better stuff that keeps me full longer. Guess I have to suck it up and stick with it!
I am so excited that I am getting so close to the 220's that I could scream!!! The scale read 231 this morning which is a 2lb loss from last week. Considering my TOM was hanging around and playing havoc with my scale this past week I am really happy with the loss. Only 6 more lbs until I reach my goal weight for this challenge, I am thinking I am going to make it my own personal challenge to hit 219 by Halloween ... Wow, I would be super duper excited to hit that!
Who knows onelanders by Christmas MAYBE... LOL ok, ok, one goal at a time, but a girl can dream right!!!
suzukigurl -- way to go! Getting to the 220's was so awesome. Just sounds so much better for some reason than the 230s. And Onederland is so close!
Amandia --can't wait to see pics. Hope you had a blast!
cheeriloos -- way to keep plugging along!
vdh2102 - I hear you on the loose skin. I'm sure mine is much worse than yours. I've read conflicting things...nothing you can do to it'll tighten up over time. I am really hoping for the second option, ha ha. If not, I might consider surgery after our third kid. We are hoping to conceive next year (after baby #2 can walk and is out of diapers). So that will give me a year to tone up and see what happens. I have been overweight for the past 15 years though, and I don't think the pregnancies or breast feeding is helping. It is so horrible to look at! Almost worse than being fat in a sense. At least when the clothes are off. The hubby doesn't mind, so I guess that is a plus. Anyways, here's hoping that we can get it to shrink back up!
As for me...down another few pounds this week. 173! We're off to a vacation resort for the week with a bunch of buffets, so I'm not sure what I'll weigh when I come back, ha ha. Even though I am going to run while I'm there! So hopefully too much damage won't be done. Whoosh fairies to all!
