Jessicado-- I'm so sorry to hear about all those bad things happening to you at once! I know it's super hard to stay OP while you're sick-- I've been in that same boat for the past week and a half. It sounds like everything is just hitting you at once, but remember to remind yourself of what you've accomplished for yourself -- don't let what's going on around you derail you. You'll get through it

I'm back!
Went away from the spreadsheet for a while, but I still kept a piece of paper with me logging my weigh-ins.
I've just been through the spreadsheet and notice there's quite a few people that have disappeared which is a shame. Hopefully they come back.

I've lost next to nothing over the past few weeks, but I would rather that than be gaining.

Tonight I gave in and had an all out food orgy, I was really hungry and today was a stressful day. I weighed in tonight for an idea of what's coming tomorrow hoping for not too much of a gain..

Warrior-- Trust me, not gaining and maintaining is an accomplishment in and of itself! I've been in the same boat as you for a while. It looks like we have the same goal and are even almost at exactly the same weight right now. I, too, noticed that a lot of people seemed to have dropped off the spreadsheet, which is disheartening. It seems like most people have quit posting here too. Hopefully some people will come back around.

Cheeriloos-- I hear you on the food orgy... that pretty much sums up and describes my past two weeks :/ You're close to your goal though!

Another crappy weigh-in this week. *sigh* I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that I won't be making it to my goal of 135 by the end of this challenge-- the weight loss just moves too slowly at this point because I've gotten close to my final goal, which is so annoying! But after my foray into the world of low carb (and subsequent binge), I've decided that slow and steady wins the race and I'm not going to try any more last ditch efforts to lose the last bit quickly just so I can get it over with. I'm going to watch the carbs but focus on portion control and calories like I have been up to this point-- it's more realistic in terms of what I'll be able to stick with long term, and that's what really matters. Nothing would be more crushing than to have gotten this far only to gain it all back.

I've decided my new goal is just going to be breaking into the 130's-- even if I can just get down to see the number 139.5 on the scale, that will be a massive victory for me. I haven't been that low since elementary school, which is kind of scary to believe! Hopefully someone will set up another challenge after this one so I can work down to 135 over a longer time period.

That's a great idea, vdh. I just realized that you're 5'7 and 140, that's totally a healthy weight so it totally will take a bit longer to lose.

Tori- I hear ya!!! Sometimes we just need a break! Hope today isn't too stressful for you.

Warrior- Welcome back! That is an awesome accomplishment not to gain and maintain!

I'm back to my pre-TOM weight, yay! Now to try for 5 more lbs by Halloween!

Thanks everyone! My parents have been together for almost 30 years, and were friends before that. I have always thought their relationship was so wonderful and striven to be like them, so this is really hitting hard. Paperwork hasn't been signed or anything yet, but I know it is coming, and my dad moving out and I am just ugh. But anyways, enough bellyaching!

cheerilos - man your food orgy hardly affected you -- way to go! You've lost 25 pounds - kick ***!

vdh2102 - are you still working out at the gym? I'm really surprised that if you're exercising that you're not seeing more of a difference! Of course, as Amandie pointed out, you're already at a healthy weight, so perhaps there is nothing left to come off!

Amandie -- you can totally do it! I'm shooting for 5 more pounds by Halloween too to reach goal. Lets go lady!



I've been doing much better with food choices for the past few days and exercising and today I saw 170 on the scale (well 170.4 but screw it!). I'm almost in the 160s....I never thought I would see the day! Well since Jr High, and that was a LONG time ago, lol.

I used to run a 5K every day, but I have decided to switch my running to every other day, and run 5 miles (which I did last night nonstop Woohoo!), working my way up to a 10K. Next week I have convinced the hubby to start P90X with me 3 days a week. Not sure how long that will last, but I want to at least try to start toning up.


Edit: Just realized that I have lost 140 pounds overall. Holy crap -- that is a person! I've lost vdh2102 I set my overall goal as 155 just so I can say I've lost half my weight!

Jess I know but I'm a huge idiot and felt really upset that I gained so I stayed in bed, skipped the gym, ate like a horse . Now I'm pissing about it like whining. Brat. Tomorrow my weigh in will be garbage and embarrassing. I'm going to suck it up, drink my tea eat well and be better for it by Monday. That's all I can do. If I could I'd punch me right in the mouth, but it's me.. so I'll just be mad at myself for a bit.

Ugh i fell off track to! last night i ate like 4000 calories. Wedding stress / family drama stress is driving me off track . i should have been down to 163 this week and would have been if i didnt go all out on the food the last cpl days.*sigh* 8 more days till my wedding! then i can put all the stressfulness behind me and be more focused!!. as much as i want to stay on track this next week i really don't know if i can. it might just be a maintence week for me

Kymish- You've got a lot on your plate, it sounds like. Do what you think would be best for you- I'd maintain and focus on losing again after wedding (and honeymoon if you guys are doing that) is all done.

But it was funny! Honestly, your gain weight is amazing. My cheats leave me with like 4 or 5 pounds - you only go up a pound! So quit beating yourself up and get ready to start moving downward

kymish -- you've got a lot to deal with right now. If you fit in your dress, then just focus on maintaining! You've got more important things to think about right now than your weight. Congrats on your approaching big day!!!!!!!!
