Jeanettey - My final posting of this week is 825. Did you beat that??? You gave me a run for my money this week!!!

RMC - Definitely join our challenge! It motivates me quite a bit because the other girls are putting in so many minutes...and I'm a teensy bit competitive...

Sarge - I was sweating vodka this morning all over the treadmill!!! So gross....yet almost feels kinda good Also, I had noticed that Awaiting was missing too. What in the world? I challenge someone and not only do they drop out of the challenge, but they also drop off the map completely. I'm not THAT scary.....

Reso - Are you having a good weekend?! I hope so!!!

MadamB - Time to shoot the scale. What gives?! Scales are the worst fair weather friend there is. Here is a gift for you. Yes, that is a zucchini. Wearing clothes. And a face.

On the gym thing...this is the third gym I've been a member of in six years and only the first that I've been 100% comfortable at. I'm usually a "kiss my BUTT-er" type of personality, but it IS intimidating to be a girl or guy of size and working out at a gym full of tiny girls casually strolling on the treadmills winking at the burly dudes grunting while they lift weights. I don't like working out in "meat markets" so to speak.

AND, like Anon, I had a trainer come up to me and be a jerk - only in my case, I was literally pouring sweat on the elliptical and working out hard, and he came up and said "You are really too large to be working out on that machine. I can train you and help you find exercises that work." I was 250ish pounds at the time, and the weight limit on the machine was 400 pounds, sooooo....I went right to the manager and asked to have my membership cancelled and that month's dues returned. I don't understand why people think that they can treat others like that, but they do.

Hit my 100 mile mark today, did 2 walks and a ride so, 12.4 walking and 6.2 bike, 18.6 total today.

Week total 103.5, can't believe it but my weight stays steady at 196 yet, either i'm eating to much or going to hard or my body is dissagreeing with losing more.

Went to zellers and walmart to browse clothes, got a couple of awesome pairs of shorts, pin stripes are so cool, also a nice shirt from walmart.

Will probably take it a little easy tomorrow, we are going through a heat wave here, my brother asked me to hang with him at the lake tomorrow, we are taking the boat out to do some tubing, probably drinking and such later on.

Biked and then got rained out. T.T
My room mate is making chili tonight (turkey and veggies, so it's really healthy!) She wrote down everything in it, servings and such and I looked up calorie counts of "cooked onion" etc and it's pretty low in calories! YAYNESS! I feel really good today and went grocery shopping and I feel like people are suddenly treating me different. Last Sunday I took my measurements and I lost 5 inches off my waist along with a ton of other inches from every where else. The SHRED is definitely toning my arms as well, I can actually see muscle forming! It feels good and maybe it's just the confidence boost, the suddenly clear skin (diet seemed to clear up my acne) or the weight loss, but I feel like people don't scoff at me like they use to. I use to get raised eyebrows when I bought a bunch of veggies and fruits at the store, as if people were thinking, "There is no way this fat girls eats this healthy..." Today, the guy ringing me up actually... I think... flirted with me. o.O That's new...

Sarge: The cake does look amazing. I obviously didn't bake that one, but I would make cakes similar. One looked like a giant penguin once. o.O

pokeycactus: I poke my muscles a lot these days. I also flex my arms and just pinch and prod them. It's weird to see muscles there...

BudgetBaby: Being sick sucks, and it's really hard to stay on plan when you are. Just walk, relax, drink water, and don't count any medicine as consumption. (I don't think that would be fair...) Feel better!

Resolute: I feel like I can take on the world with a little bit of alcohol. I always want to dance when I get tipsy too...>.>
No, that's not me in the pictures. I wish it was. O.O My friend, she lets me use her pics to practice on all the time.

MadamButterfly: Your thought process sounds a lot like mine. I see a small gain or no loss and I go crazy trying to figure out why!

SMSDREAMER2007: Congrats on the LOVELY loss! I hope my scale is that generous for me tomorrow...

Morning Platoon,

Great job everyone who is posting losses so far. I am really sorry for ONCE AGAIN bringing the platoon down. I don't know why I can't make pledge, but I stress out about it each week. This week I am only pledging 1/2 a lb because I should start my TOM any day now, and I don't want to set myself up for another failure by pledging too much.

I don't really know how to step it up any more than I did this week, so I am just going to keep this up. Maybe I should lower my calories back down, but for now I am not going to change anything. Stick it out 1300-1500 calories and at least an hour of intense exercise 6 days a week for about a month, and re-evaluate then. Does that sound like a good idea to you guys? I don't want to constantly change what I'm doing because I know some of my weigh-ins are influenced by things going on in my body that I cannot control and if I change too frequently, it will be difficult to pinpoint the actual causes.

Iianae -- Great job this week! Good luck on the Warrior Dash!!!

Pokey and Jeanettey -- You ladies are CRAZY! That is so much time! I want to join the minutes challenge, but you just blow me out of the water! Maybe in a few weeks, I'll be feeling frisky enough to jump in the mix.

Reso -- Congrats on making 100+ miles again. You're such a beast!

Kuri -- I'm sure part of it is that you are feeling more confident now. Even if you are still a bigger girl, at least you're not the bigger girl who's not doing anything about it. You're working out, eating right, and I'm sure you take pride in that. Guys (in my opinion, Reso obv would know better) respond well to self-confidence. I bet he WAS flirtin' with ya!

I have had to work long shifts all week so I haven't been able to post. I have tried to read when I could but I am way behind. I had a good loss but I think it was water weight from changing my food and drinking water. I haven't exercised but a little this week. I usualy only work 3 part time shifts a week and I've worked 7 9 hour days in a row cuz this girl got sick and somebody else was on vacation so my feet, legs, and ankles hurt real bad. I cried last night in bed cuz it hurt so bad. I am off until Wedesday so maybe I can in a day or to.

Congratulations on all the weightloss posted so far!

I am getting ready to go on my long jog for the day.

Jeanetty - My husband is always saying there is nothing good on tv...yet he always has it on. The kids and I frequently go all day with out turning it on. I would miss the computer a bit if we did go electric free while at home.

Iianae - Alot of us do not pledge trekking miles. I could, since I am following a training plan, but it is not needed.

Reso - Over 100 miles!!! You are the man.

Kuri - I am discovering some weeks I do not lose, or show a gain and then others I drop like crazy. Last month I barely lost for 2 weeks then I lost 6.5 lbs in 1 week. Our bodies are crazy. Just keep doing what you are doing, the measuring tape is showing amazing progress!

Irish - Can you stretch and walk (even in place) while you are working? Maybe that would help with your leg pain? Also do you have supportive shoes to wear, that may help.

Morning troops!

Congrats on the losses being reported so far. Sarge will update the board here in a few minutes but in the meantime, could someone help Rainbow out with how to register on fitocracy. She has a code but I think I recall reading here that a few of you had problems with certain browsers.

Thanks!

820 and 825?! OMG, I am definitely going to have to step up my game to hang with you guys. That's ok . . .

Anon, don't feel too bad; you still had a nice loss. Why don't you join the Hardcore Challenge anyway? I'm nowhere near Pokey and Jeanettey either, and know I won't be for a while at least, but I think being in the challenge will push me a bit more. You and I can compete for the Bronze while they battle for Gold and Silver. Then, a few weeks down the road, we can shock them when we pull from behind!

IrishKat, congrats on your loss. Sorry you had such a difficult week. I bet working all of those extra hours contributed to your loss - less time for snacking, plus the extra calories burned just being on your feet all that time. Way better than sitting in front of the TV. Hope you're feeling better this week.

Reso, congrats on 100 miles; that's great! The pics of the lake you posted a while ago were gorgeous; enjoy your day of relaxation.

Finished the week at 184.2. At one point during the week, I was at 183.6, so I'm a tiny bit disappointed, but I'll take the 2.2 lb loss. It will be nice to see the 170s again.

Have a great day everyone.
