well no weigh in today honestly I forgot. Did 1.5miles today got in a fantastic workout much more then planned felt sooooo good omg no idea
Going to shovel yaay haha not and then luch gosh this is a fantastic day already and it's only 11am

Thanks burgaundy! You are still doing very well even if the scale hasn't shown it lately you are half way to your goal after all. I'm sure things will pick up I don't know about you but I find January to be a hard month kind of lagging from the holidays still. I have been so tired lately I really had to push myself to get things done this month, and it's so hard to get away from bad food cravings when december is chalked full of them.

only got a couple inches of snow overnight so shoveling should be easy, going to bundle up it's a bit windy today

Hey girls!
Didn't turn on my laptop the whole weekend - very unlike me! Got in a short walk on Fri, a longer one on Sat and a 3 mile run and a two mile walk yesterday. It's going to be super cold for the next two days (like 3 degrees) - yuck! But it should be running weather by the end of the week again. Did pretty well on food this weekend and I think it's starting to make a difference. My tummy starts to look smaller in clothes right before it shows on the scale - does that ever happen to you guys?

marmalade - I know what you mean with your hubby - my bf eats tons of fullfat ice cream and never gains an ounce - aargh!

burgundy - what's a streetstrider? curious to hear....

Have a great monday, girls!

Marmalade-yea January can be tough. I will get out of this slump soon and the scale will move again.

Dance-yea for smaller tummies!!!! I wish I could say I got miles in with you this weekend but I have been slacking. A streetstrider is AWESOME!! Like an elliptical on wheels, contemplating getting one but I am such a thrifty shopper and that is a lot of money. I keep checking amazon and other sites for sales. Maybe I will find one before spring cheaper.

burgundy - wow, those look fun! I've seen people using them on the paved trails in the park where I run but had no idea what they were called.

Crazy cold here again today - may jump on the treadmill for a bit this morning.

How's everyone else doing?

I just read about this in the 3FatChicks book. Sounds like a great program - I especially like NO calorie counting. Has anyone tried this?

Gwen - I have heard bits seems like lots of people have had good results and they have some kind of a competition with some major prizes..what girl doesn't love a prize
Personally I just can't do strict meal plans for the sake of my marriage and friends lol

Well it is the first of February and TOM is here I am not going anywhere near a scale this week so weigh in will have to wait until next week

Planned on getting in 2 miles yesterday but had to work late so didn't happen. My back is killing me today probably going to skip my workout maybe get one in tomorrow.

Dance-yes they do look like fun, I want one BAD, lol. I need your treadmill.

Gwen-never heard of that. Might have to look into it, but like marmalade said. If its strict, it may not be for me.

Marmalade-TOM is such a pain. I was having back problems there for a while but is doing much better now. Dont hurt yourself.

We have so much snow here. I know Vicky got it in Chicago too. We ventured out just to run to the store down the road. It took us a while to get out of the driveway, the truck was just pushing the snow along with us. When we got home I took a short walk up the driveway and down the road some. It was only like a .2 mile walk but seemed like longer in all that snow. I am trying to upload pics to FB. That was a little workout. I did 2 hours on wii fit plus last night and burned 500 cals. Gonna do the same today.

Maddiesmom-how are you feeling??

Feeling much better 2 days of a heating pad seemed to do the trick.

Worked out insane today got in 2 workouts 1.5 hours total to make up for the first 2 days of the month.

TOM is kind of getting the best of me food wise can't stop thinking about chocolate which is odd I usually crave salt. I'm trying to stick to pickles sounds odd I know but I love pickles and they are my "safe" snack. Had some mac n cheese yesterday and a little handful of chocolate, and more chocolate today Those darn popping mini eggs are going to be the end of me. Why couldn't anyone had though to make them 10years ago when I was young and skinny

Hey Ladies, quiet in here. I've been sick for a few days. Today is day 3 and up until now its just been a stuffy nose, headache and a little bit of a sore throat. Now today the headache and sore throat are gone but now Im coughing. Need to take some medicine. We have an appt at 3 to get our taxes done.

Havent worked out the last 2 days, just havent felt like it. If I feel better later I might do a light workout.

Hope everyone else is good.

burgundy - bummer on being sick! Hope you're feeling better. It just sucks how being sick gets in the way of eating right and working out.

marmalade - stay away from the mini eggs!!!

Snowy and yucky here but got in a good run this morning before the snow. Will check in later...

dancer - tell me about it! I put them on our butcher block behind our kitchen table on the other side of the room lol seems to be doing the trick for now...I have decided next time I grab them I'll give my handful to my son and throw them away lol will power where"d you go?? haha

burgundy - Sorry your feeling cruddy it's that time of year I figure in the winter it's bound to happen a few times It sucks when your doing so well to be derailed by something out of your control.

Started out as a great food day yesterday didn't workout though my legs were so tired I took the day off. Met a friend last night I had coffee and a turkey sandwhich for dinner my friend had ice cream and I did not so I was like yaaaay I didn't cave...then I went home and had BBQ chips although I stopped myself around 230 cals which is like 16 chips so that's better then what I used to do I guess.
Going to get in 2 miles now and I'll add an extra 300 cals to my 2 miles for punishment ugh not really looking forward to working out however my hubby is downstairs and when he is there I tend to push myself more during my workouts so I'm sure I'll get it done...
wish me luck

Uh-oh - got caught in the TOM trap yesterday and had too many chips and salsa in front of the super bowl. And more than my share of welch's fruit snacks too. *hangs head in shame* I'm majorly sticking to plan today and am heading to California for a quick business trip (mon-weds). Brought sneakers so that I can take advantage of the nice evening weather for some outside walks. How's everyone else doing?

burgundy - TOM sucks it sucks even more that it happens every month and it doesn't seem to get easier will power wise haha California ooo lucky you gettin in some nice weather

I think I have decided to start taking my measurements weekly that way I hopefully won't get so annoyed when my scale and I are not on the same page

No change I was sure I'd be down a bit, but on the bright side I have started to notice that my face is getting thinner and my clothes are starting to fit a bit better. So the scale should be moving soon

Had a good food day, shovled for 30mins, and going to get a workout in tonight pretty good start to the week
