  • Well, for me, there was really no workouts this week - fighting a sore throat and feeling all around crappy. I really wish when co-workers are sick they would just stay home rather than getting everyone else sick.

    Got on the scale yesterday and I am down 1 pound - which I will take since it was TOM. I indulged a bit last night - had some ice cream from culvers. It was my only real cheat. The diet is still going well - 10 pounds in 2 weeks with TOM, I'll take it! It's back to the gym tomorrow and I hope to get at least 3 workouts with Jeff. I was scheduled to go Friday night, but Jeff was closing on his house. I really need to start working out - even if it's not with him. He just challenges me a ton more than when I'm by myself. But, I know he's not always going to be there, so I have to help myself.

    Allison: You can get back on the wagon - it's so hard to keep track when you aren't at home. We both know that you know what you need to do. Think of how much better you will feel after one good meal, one great workout and then you'll want that feeling to continue, so you'll keep doing it. I have complete faith in you - YOU CAN DO THIS!

    Dance-I have heard the same thing with running intervals, I was trying that a little this past summer. I love sleep, I could sleep 9+ hrs everynight. I have to set my alarm to get up at a reasonable hour. Are you still sleeping lots?

    Jacki-Welcome. Im a little late with that, sorry. You are so dedicated with all those workouts. Hope your knee is doing good. Dont hurt yourself more. How do you like P90? I've done 30day shred before for 30 straight days, that was killer but I did see results with inches lost not too much with the scale though but I still recommend it. So sorry to hear about your Aunt.

    Maddiesmom-You are doing great on Paleo. So proud of you. 10 lbs in 2 weeks must feel great. That workout you posted would kill me!!!! Sorry you are sick, feel better soon.

    Marmalade-Did you get Just Dance 2, its one of favorites. Ive told the girls before, I have no rhythm but its so much fun. Only 2 more lbs and you will be at 20, doesnt it feel great. Yay for smaller sizes.

    Hannah-Welcome!! Ive felt the same way as you the last few weeks, but I am getting back into a groove now and it feels great. U just have to think about what you want more....that cheeseburger and fries or killer thighs.

    Well, I have changed my mindset and am BACK IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday and today have been on plan.
    Yesterdays food was good
    Bmelet with peppers, onions, tiny bit of LF cheese, and turkey sausage
    L:turkey meatloaf and a nectarine
    D:Romano whitefish, hubbard squash, and a side salad

    We went out to dinner with a group of people and I did have a little bruschetta before dinner. The whitefish I got was so huge, I brought more than half of it home. We went back to a friends house and she popped popcorn but I didnt have any.

    Today so far
    B:cinnamon raisin english muffin with all natural peanut butter
    L:leftover whitefish and turnip greens
    Drobably gonna be lean steak, turnip greens and Chris wants augratin potatoes, I probably wont have any of those.

    I got on the scale this morning and I am back at ticker weight. Im gonna keep going like this and hopefully that number keeps going down. Going for a walk at the gym with a friend at 4. I really hope I can keep this up. Im ready to do this again.

    Burgundy Glad you sister is okay what horrible luck they are having over there! I did decide on Just Dance 2 it is fanfreakintastic so glad I chose that one. My son love love loves it he's 6 so it's a bit above his corrdination level but he had a blast anyway. It is so addicting! omg I couldn't believe I did it for so long I went right through my workout time *whoops* I did the just sweat on intense level after I put ethan to bed, got up to 3004 on the meter I was surprised I actually started to sweat and the time just flew by haha

    Alright well had so much fun last night we didn't get to bed until after 3am! We didn't end up going dancing so I am feeling extra guilty for the nachos, yam fries and of course all the shooters and drinks...but I did stick with ceasers most of the night clamato juice and celery is good right hahaha ya not so much Dinner was okay though had chicken breast on a ciabatta bread mmm good. Didn't get in as much of a workout yesterday 35 mins BLdvd and only .5mile/345cals. Didn't get in aworkout at all today just too much running around and laundry house cleaning and what not. Tomorrow I will be getting in a good couple miles/2500-3000 calories and I'll try for the BL dvd too at least 35mins. I'm up 2 pounds from yesterday but I think it'll pass quickly we snacked a bit late and I'm drinking lots of water today...hopefully it passes quickly
  • Hey girls - not such a great weekend for me, kind of under the weather and low energy. But I'm back to normal today and ready to cause trouble

    marmalade - wow, 3am??!! you wild and crazy kid Glad you had fun and it sounds like overall you are doing great sticking to plan and making all kinds of progress.

    burgundy - still fairly sleepy over here - I'm with you on the couldn't function without my alarm thing. Have been too lazy to hit the intervals hard but am going to give it a try tomorrow. Sounds like you did great on food yesterday - good for your for re-committing to the whole process.

    maddiesmom - hope this cold blows over in record time. It seems like such a sick year - people at my office are constantly out sick. Great news about ebaying your old clothes - that's gotta feel so good!

    jacki - so sorry about the family news - hang in there and let us know how you're doing when you get back.

  • Marmalade-Im so glad my sister is ok too. Its so scary. I can do Just Dance forever too. Its so much fun. There is one called Just Dance Kids, maybe Ethan would like that one.

    Dance-I am ready for this snow to be gone so I can run intervals. I am totally recommitted.

    Food was great yesterday, stuck to plan. Got a walk in, it was only 35 degrees out but we went 2 miles. Its pretty cold today, dont know if I will walk again but I will get some kind of workout in.

    Food for today.
    B: malt o meal with ideal sweetener/a touch of honey
    L: tuna sandwich and grapes, maybe a few pita chips
    D: baked chicken, sweet potato, zucchini

    The scale was down a lb this morning, I was so excited to see it. The 190s are gone, hopefully forever.
  • I realized something yesterday I get really cranky when I do not get a workout in...which kind of made me a little happy haha I'm really looking forward to giving it a go in March!
    Still recovering from the weekend gezz I'm freaking exhausted *sigh* I still plan to get in extra elliptical tonight & the BL dvd hopefully I'll get a huge boost of energy tonight! Must must must go to bed early so we'll see
    WOW just saw a woman run but the house it's been white out conditions all afternoon and around -35 and she was decked out in spandex! Yikes I wish I had that type of determination holy moly
    Weighed in this morning at 211.5 I am determined that it will be back to 210 in a few days so I refuse to change my ticker haha

    dance glad your back in a normal groove maybe it's a weather thing sometimes in the mid/end of a really cruddy winter week I start to feel sluggish and during TOM I feel like I need to nap daily haha

  • Marmalade-Im ready for March too, I am back in the game and ready to workout. Get that workout in. I gotta get mine done too. You will be back at ticker weight soon. I was so happy to finally be able to change mine this morning.

    TOM is here but I am not about to let it get the best of me. Food was good today. I ended up having a salad for dinner so I'll have the baked chicken tomorrow. Got Chris Arbys for dinner and I didnt have any of it. Usually I steal a few fries but I controlled myself and stuck to my salad.

    Hope everyone is good and feeling better for those of you that are under the weather.
  • thanks burgundy I think it'll have to wait a week now TOM snuck up on me last night totally out of nowhere. I'll weigh in next monday I'm sure it'll be back down.
    All the talk about intervals got me thinking so I finally looked back & I was burning way more calories on the resitance/speed program before I got sick & switched to just resistance in January. Did program 9 which I hadn't done before and it totally kicked my butt wowsers went up to level 10 a couple times it was like trying to wade through quicksand! Did 1.5miles and 1089calories the program was 45minutes added an extra 20 mins to get to 1.5miles. I think I'll alternate programs 7,8, & 9 and do an extra 20minutes every other day for March and see how it goes.
    My weekly goal is to stay focused and get in workouts even though I just want to sleep or lay on the couch & be lazy. It's another cold one today yuck snowed a lot yesterday thank goodness it stopped! Well have to run to work hope everyones week is going well
  • burgundy - woohoo for being back in the groove! you're really getting me inspired - I stuck to plan yesterday and got in a four mile walk. Doesn't sound like that big of a deal but with my wimpiness lately about not sticking to things, it's a start. Thanks for being a motivator!

    Will stick to plan again today and will get in a two-mile walk (back and forth to dinner out). We're going to a neighborhood restaurant to celebrate my bf's b-day but I should be able to order fish and veggies no problem.

    Food today:
    b: oat bran hot cereal, skim milk, strawberries
    l: subway 6", apple slices
    d: fish, veggies
    s: string cheese, almonds

    marmalade - good for you for sticking to your workouts even when you don't feel like! You will be fitting in those clothes that *almost* fit in NO TIME!
  • Marmalade-I need an elliptical machine. I still really want a street strider for outside but I dont know if I can spend that much money on one. Chris says I should just get it but I dont know. Im gonna try to stay focused this week too and stay on plan. I wanted to stray today but held my self together.

    Dance-glad I can be a motivator. 4 miles is great. I havent been working out much at all lately. I did get a good workout in today with Jillian Michaels, not 30ds though.

    Today was good, started my spring cleaning. Got my closet organized somewhat. I want to build it out and get rid of the shelves and things that came in it. Now I just need spring weather to show up.

    Food today
    B: shredded wheat with 1/2 cu 2% milk
    L: veggie stirfry over brown rice
    D: baked chicken with green beans and a sweet potato
    S: 1 cup diced peaches and pears

    I have the boys tomorrow. Maybe I can bundle the 4y/o up and get a walk in before the bus comes.
  • thanks to burgundy (aka motivator-chick), I had a good day sticking to plan yesterday and I'm wearing a light gray suit that I haven't worn in a month or two that is fitting well again.

    Burgundy - good for you for doing Jillian - I can only imagine what a tough workout that must be.

  • Burgundy have you looked to see if you can get one used? I don't know how long they have been around but you might find one. Around here March/April a ton of used exercise equiptment hits kijiji & craigs list...usually stuff thats hardly been used I heard you can get some that come with stands to use stationary inside, if you want one I'd do that then you can use it all year long If I didn't have an elliptical I'd want get one too they look pretty cool!

    Dance yaaaay!! The only thing better then new clothes is old clothes that fit...again

    So cold here I didn't have lunch today I have a hunger headache now. I got too busy it was either work through lunch & pick up Ethan on time or be late. So no lunch I think we'll have an early dinner. I should do some spring cleaning I love love love spring cleaning! I don't know why it's just so much fun & I love to see everything organized I think I have a sickness hehe

    Just got back home today, lots of things to get done. I will catch up on your posts soon. I was off plan and didn't exercise the past 4 days. Today, I am eating on plan, but will not be working out. My head has too much going on. I will be back on my regular workout plan tomorrow! Chat soon!

    Having a good day so far - got in a great run this morning with intervals. Just like the magazine said, it gives you much more of a runner's high - I've been floating all day Let's just hope I've been burning more calories all day just like they said too!

    L: french onion soup, whole wheat baguette
    D (planned): chicken panang with broccoli, spinach and brown rice
    S: orange, grapes

    jacki - nice to have you back *hugs* Sticking to your eating plan sounds like the perfect thing to do right now - hang in there!

    marmalade - when you're done with your spring cleaning, jump on a plane and come on over to my house!! I wish I had your cleaning and organizing energy!
