Ok, so yesterday didn't go so well. Ended up skipping the run in favor of general laziness and went over my calories with cinnamon sugar toast in the evening. Little bit of a pity party since my bf was in one of his moods.

Am on a more productive kick today, getting some of those old reports done finally, running errands and planning on a run in a bit. House guests coming in tonight (they need a place to crash during a training course) so I need to provide some dinner - I'm going to pick up a rotisserie chicken, saute some mushrooms and microwave some broccoli.

How are you guys?

Doing good here. Have been doing good with eating but not getting in as many walks as I would like to. I might try to go today if I can get my sister going. Shes been kinda moody the last few days. Im still sticking around 188 to 189 so I am happy about that. We still have a week here so I have to keep up the good eating. Meeting some cousins on Wednesday and we plan to eat out but I will make good choices.

Hope you both are doing great.

burgundy - that's great that you're doing so well with your eating while you're away from home. Good luck with your restaurant outing! It's a bummer but I'm finding I do way better the more expensive the restaurant is. It's much easier to get grilled chicken or fish and veggies at the pricier places *sigh*

Went for a run yesterday but probably no exercise today. Maybe another run tomorrow, we'll see if I can make myself get up super early and brave the cold

Hang in there, girls - we can do this!

Sounds like everyone is doing better than me!! (head held in shame). I've been on a 4 day eating binge with all the parties, etc. that I had over the weekend. Tried to do well, but didn't really happen. No exercise either so I just generally feel fat and lazy.

Dance: So, didn't make it on the 1 pound challenge (unless it was to gain a pound, not lose one!) I'm getting back on track - I hate where I'm heading, which is 200 pounds again. Can't do that to myself. I know it's partially because I'm not working out. I find I actually eat LESS when I work out, even though I'm burning more calories. Strange. I think my only saving grace is that when I start eating better, these 5 pounds will come off pretty fast (hopefully).

Allison: Glad you are doing well when away - it's always hard when you're traveling. When are you heading back to MI? Hope your sister gets out of her mood - exercise always helps with that.

As fo rme, I'm off to the back specialist on Wednesday to see if I'm released to return to the gym. I'm really hoping so. I'm going to ARP with Jeff as well...but I gotta work out again, this is getting ridiculous!

I'm going to start checking in more and logging what I'm eating because that seemed to help in the past, and at this point, I need all the help that I can get!

maddiesmom - you can do this! come post today what your eating plan is and you can turn this around. I'm doing okay during the day but giving in to the munchies in the evenings - gotta get off that kick ASAP. Can you go for a walk today?

Food today, not good - I'm stressed so I'm eating out

B: 2 eggs and fruit
L: (HR Outing) lobster bisque, chopped salad, carrot cake
D: Chinese - chicken chop suey with egg roll

No way to walk - super cold here and of course I was stuck at work late. I'm super stressed with all the projects I need to do in the next few weeks and my boss doesn't seem to care how much I have on my plate - I know she's happy I was promoted, but she doesn't want me to leave my current position either. Makes it a hard situation.

I go back to ARP tomorrow, and with a release from the back specialist (keeping my fingers crossed) I am going back to the gym with Jeff to help me kick my butt back inot shape. It's super cold here now so the only time I'll be able to work out is at the gym. I was considering dusting off the 30DS and start that to see what happens. I'm open to anything at this point. Just disappointed I let myself go this long. I WILL GET BACK ON TRACK!

maddiesmom - how are you doing today? what's the food plan? My houseguests left last night and life is getting back to normal but I just couldn't wake up before six this morning to run in the freezing cold and slept in until 7 instead. We're going to walk to sushi tonight though so that will make up for a little bit. Planning on a run after work tomorrow too. Hang in there, kiddo - we can do this!

Hey Ladies I just joined 3FC and I came across your thread I'd love to join.

My weight loss is a slow go for now really trying to get back into a routine. My husband just started a new job that is odd hours, we don't see each other all week long I'm finding myself a little bored, alone and of course snacking haha
I'm working on working out after I put my son to bed and finding a good support group

marmalade - we would love some company! That sounds tough with your hubby's schedule... Can you use some of that extra time on your own to make some healthy meals for the week maybe?

maddiesmom - did you get your release to hit the gym again? Hope so!! How did yesterday go with food?

I did okay yesterday overall -
B: berries (ran out of time for anything else)
S: grapes, tlc bar
L: salmon, veggies, slice of sourdough
D: sushi, edamame
Just two miles of walking so not much exercise.
Plan for today:
B: yogurt, grapenuts, strawberries
l: chicken, brown rice, veggies, peanut sauce from whole foods
D: chicken, ww couscous, mushrooms, salad
S: grapes, almonds

Hope you girls are doing great...

Dance: Yep! I got the all clear! Funny that I had to wait for the doc for 30 mins just so he could see me for 3 to tell me I'm ok. The strength is definitely back in my left leg, just waiting for the weakness to end. It's going to take some time, but it's getting better, starting to feel a little more in my foot. No more therapy either, so that's a bonus.

Marmalade: Welcome! Sorry things are hectic with your hubby's schedule. How old is your little one. I have a 3 year old girl, Madeline, which makes working out trying at times. Found that I had to make time for myself, but I'm sure you know that motherly guilt is a killer. What's your WL plan?

So, I'm going back to the gym tomorrow after 2 months of surgery recovery. Can't wait for Jeff (personal trainer) to kick my butt again. I totally miss working out and I find that I'm feeling more and more like crap the longer I go without working out. Way too cold here to attempt to take walks outside, and with my back/hip issue, not a good idea to get on my elliptical. So, back to the gym I go.

Food is definitely better today - had Subway for lunch and tried their flatbread rather than the regular bread and LOVED it. Best flatbread I've ever had. Breakfast was oatmeal and fruit and dinner was an apple and a chicken taco (lf sour cream, lf cheese, salsa and grilled chicken breast). not too shabby. Feeling better about my eating. Threw out the rest of the birthday cake so that isn't a temptation and I stayed away from the donuts - bonus!

Work is absolutely crazy, learning the new job (with an absolutely horrible trainer) while still doing my current job which includes 5 super important projects that I have to juggle simultaneously. Major stress, which I know is the reason for the binging this week. I know working out will definitely help me, just have to get going.

Couldn't do this without you ladies...do you realize that next month will be our 2 year anniversary?!?!

That's a good idea! I am just about to put my son to bed and then I am going to make a grocery list for tomorrow.
I used to plan all our meals and found it made it so much easier I have to get back in the habit of making time. My biggest challenge is getting organized with a 6 year old, 2 big dogs, and a cat the house gets hectic quickly and it seems to go from 4:00 to 8:00 just like that.

2 miles is better than no miles good for you!

Maddiesmom:

My son Ethan is 6 and you're right it can be really hard there is only so much time before he’ll become too old to hang out with his mommy. Finding a middle ground I am comfortable with and he is happy with can be difficult...

My workout plan is kind of a work in progress. I am shooting for 40mins of elliptical and 30mins free weights and a bit of yoga to cool down every other day.
The other days I figure for now just walking the dogs (we have 2) for 20mins and possibly yoga too cause I like yoga haha I'm too out of shape to do the elliptical everyday *sigh* I have tried and usually quit after a week because I feel like I'm about to die. I figure this time around I rally want to stick with something so I'm trying to ease my way into it for a couple weeks and add more as I start feeling more energetic. I actually really like working out and I love love love my elliptical but sometimes getting around to it sucks once I'm in a routine I'm sure it'll be easier. Sometimes though it seems like there just isn't enough time in a day..sometimes ha how about most times

Totally agree the subway flatbread is soooo yummy it’s my new fast food although I still feel a little guilty eating it. Lunch is my worst food time I’m a sales rep so I am in my car almost all day and sometimes it’s easier to just go to a drive thru. No more drive thrus for me except for coffee I can't give up my coffee I've tried just can't do it

Hey girls! I totally suck - I can't believe I haven't posted in days! I hardly ever miss a day. Work is crazy busy so I'm trying to fit a lot in on the weekends - I guess that's my sort of excuse. Got the xmas decorations up yesterday and woke up early this morning to make cookies for a cookie party later today. Not sure what I'm going to do with the extras just yet - drop by some friends' houses maybe. Doing good on exercise - got in a run after work friday night and a long walk yesterday. My buddy and I hit an amazing asian supermarket and bought all kinds of crazy produce that I'm looking forward to cooking. You get so bored of the same veggies all the time... Heading out for a run in a little and am going to try to get some work done before the 2pm cookie thing. Hope you girls are doing great! Did you see on FB that tifftiff lost 100lbs? amazing!

Dance: Glad to hear that you are back on track with working out. How exciting to try new veggies. Let me know what you found that tastes really good - always looking for new recipes. Getting tired of the old stuff, looking for new, but not wanting to spend the money if I don't like it.

Marmalade: How are your workouts going? Every little bit helps and I'm sure you will build up your endurance where you can work out every day if you choose to. There was a time (before surgery) where I would work out 5-6 days a week. I definitely want to get back to that again, but have to build it up over time.

So, things here have been busy. Christmas party at work (didn't do too bad foodwise), did some more Christimas shopping (had subway for lunch), and then put up the decorations. I'm still not 100% foodwise, but had the hubby go to the store for me so I couldn't pick up bad food. only good stuff on the list, so I'm hoping that will help me.

I'm going to the gym tomorrow night no matter what. I weighed myself and I'm almost 10 pounds up from my ticker - it's TOM, but I can't use that as an excuse. I should be able to drop the pounds by working out, so I'm hoping to be at ticker weight by the new year.

Allison - where are you?

Also do you realize next month will be 2 years that we started this journey together? Too bad we're missing a lot of the girls we started with, but I'm glad I still have you guys!
