Welcome to all the new people, looking forward to sharing in with your progress :carrot:

smiles4u: sorry to hear about your board, hopefully you'll get it back soon. Did it just go wonky on you alll of a sudden?

I got in 1 hr on the wii fit today. I am going to go to bed early tonight, I am exhausted from all the new exercise!!

Hi everyone!

I just finished some resistant band work and Jillian Michaels wii game. Some of those activities are really hard. So was the wii fit in the beginning so I am going to stick with it. I can't seem to get my avatar to dodge left and right when running. I can dodge the other one fine. Does anyone know how to do it?

I am going to do the treadmill and maybe a little of the BEAST (elliptical). My arms hurt today. I think it is from the resistance band workouts. That is a good sign ...right?

Ok...talk to you later..

Im new to the wii, and to wii fit. We just got it for Christmas so I'm just learning, and Im really enjoying it. I love how it graphs and tracks your weigt and bmi.

I've just started getting back into the wii fit after having it collecting cobwebs for a couple months! I'm trying to do an hour a day.
My faves are the step, rhythm boxing and hula (which kills me!):dizzy:

I am having a tough time fitting that hour of Wii Fit in. Tomorrow is a new day. My kids will be back at school on Monday and hopefully I can establish a routine.

Only did 30 minutes of Wii Fit today...but I did a whole hour of DDR on the Wii - 760 calories...

I still might get on a little later, though I'll definitely need to have a snack first if I do.

I had to stop worrying about my hands and really concentrate on what would make the little bar on the balance board area (bottom right of the screen) score better. THEN once I figured out the board, I added back the hands and now I seem to have it all "down." ;)

For me, it meant shifting my "run" to more of a shift of weight from heel to toe, while also changing my weight from one hip to the other. Hard to explain without the aid of the visual, but when I was just doing a speed walk sort of thing, it wouldn't register. Really going from heel to toe while swinging hips seemed to make the difference on how that "scored" on the little meter.

Hope that helps!

My arms hurt after the Jillian Michaels' Wii Fit workout sometimes! The monkey bars and grenade toss really seem to do it for me! :D

Everyone--I'm so encouraged by all of the time everyone is logging with their Wii Fit already this year! Awesome!

I, however, did not get on it today (er... yesterday) because instead we took a very long and uptempo walk and I felt like that would "count" enough. Hubby and I *both* plan to do an hour on Wii Fit tomorrow (Friday... so... later today). ;)

I know, I know, I keep saying I'm going to come in here and post a good Wii Fit day and I keep not having done it. But I noticed the last time I took a break of two or three weeks, my workouts were BETTER and more efficient and more effective. Shook up my system, somehow, to change up the routine a bit. :D

But tomorrow is the day! There WILL be Wii! :)

Happy 2009 to all!

muppetmummy 01-02-2009 01:20 PM

I did 1 hr 20min on the wii earlier....hula, boxing and step :)

Will probably do half hour of free step while I'm watching tv tonight.

Newshinyme 01-02-2009 01:27 PM

Haven't worked out today yet, but I am coming in to let you all know that I will do it.
2009 is a new chance for me to stop abusing my poor body and treat it right, and that has to include exercise :D

Truffles: If you can't fit a whole hour of wii at once you can try doing 15 minutes or so at a time. Another thing that is quite cool is the step that you can do while watching TV, that way you can even work out if the rest of the family is watching something.

fullofgrace: let's do it! we were doing so good before, so I am sure we can get back into the swing of things again

Newshinyme 01-02-2009 03:39 PM

I did it!
Got back on the Wii today. Only 30 min aerobics (step, hula, boxing), but it's a start, maybe I'll do some free step later tonight

muppetmummy 01-02-2009 05:58 PM
