Adee4me, I know just what you mean! I've been toying with the idea of getting up an hour earlier to do the wiifit - but, the idea of actually getting out of bed at ::gasp:: 4:30 am...well, let's just say it's just an idea at this point.;)

I'm really curious how it decides your weight. I always pick the 'light clothes' option. So I have to wonder if it's just automatically taking away 1-2lbs or what. Has anyone figured this out yet?

That's what I'm assuming. I'll always choose the other/0 option to account for that. ;)

I figure as long as I keep picking the same one I'm still getting an accurate weight. It's not a big deal to be 1-2 lbs off as long as it is consistent.

Hello Wii Fit Fanatics,

I need your help. I have had the Wii Fit for three months now and my favorites are the basic and advanced step and boxing. I am kinda getting tired of the music for the step exercises and want to purchase a some new software.

Should I purchase DDR or Julian's Fitness Ultimatum? I think it is the combination of music and aerobic activity that makes me like the step exercise so much. (along with trying to up my score) Does Outdoor Adventures have music in it? I need your advice and thoughts....thank you friends!

Got on my Wii Fit after three weeks off. Ack!!! :o

But it didn't yell at me, just asked me to remind it what my name is. LOL :p

I weighed the same today as I did three weeks ago on the Wii Fit, so that's encouraging. My time away didn't do any damage. ;) Yay!

Now, back to work! I'm 11 pounds away from goal and that means I really need to kick it in to high gear 'round here.

So glad Wii Fit was there to welcome me back without much judgment. ;)

I don't know anything about Outdoor Adventures, but I have both the DDR for Wii and the Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum. They're both totally different and I love them both. I probably use Jillian more than DDR. Not probably. That's actually for sure. ;) I really do love Jillian's workouts.

The DDR is fun and the music is definitely more diverse and easy to workout with, for me. And the music on the Jillian Wii Fit program is good too. I found a way to "opt out" of the music style I don't like, and that makes it even better for me.

But I wanted to suggest that you do the "Free Step" on the Wii Fit, because then you can choose whatever music you want, or watch TV, or whatever, while you do the steps. I like to do that when there's a show on that I want to watch while exercising. Maybe that would take care of the music/step class issue for you? Worth a shot!

I often have other things playing on my iTunes while I'm doing Wii Fit in the room. Gives me lots of variety and keeps me from getting bored.

Okay, hope everyone is having a great time and reaching goal after goal!

Yay!

Hey everyone - hope you don't mind me jumping in. I'm relatively new to the 3FC group, but a WII Fit addict. I have been alternating between my elliptical and the WII Fit to try & get 30+ min of exercise in each day. Bonus for me when I get elliptical and WII Fit in. :-) My favorite lately has been boxing, but I've also recently done the free step. I am horrible at the bubble balance game. I got through it once but can't seem to do it again.

I've been thinking about getting a copy of DDR2 - I've seen quite a few posts from others on this forum about it and it sounds like a fun way to get some additional activity in.

Have a great day!!

Thanks soooo much for the reminder of the "free step" option!!!! I don't know why I overlooked it. I was getting so sick of the music and routine of advanced step, hula and boxing, I hadn't done Wii in about three weeks. :o After reading your post I dusted it off and did the free step while watching tv yesterday. I LOVE IT!!!! Thanks again! :)

Stepped back on my Wii Fit yesterday for the first time in weeks and it--again--told me it forgot my name. ;) Heh. Sneaky critter.

Ah, but I am at the lowest weight I have been, on it, and that's SO much fun to see on the graph!

Nice to get back at it. Like visiting with an old friend. One who kicks my butt and makes me sweat a little now and then. :p

Hope everyone's doing great!

skinnygurlinside 05-02-2009 10:58 PM

Well I'm new at using the wii fit, so I only do about 20 minutes at a time so far i've been doing it for 3 days, monday I am going to start a run/jog program so I will have that, my wii fit, and my fitness coach to kick my butt into shape. I hope this time I stick with it and get the weight off... wish me luck!

Delphi 05-08-2009 05:35 PM

Well I just got my Wii and Wii Fit and really excited about working it into my routine. So do we post daily progress here with the Wii Fit?

Delphi 05-09-2009 03:16 PM

May 9 ~ I managed to get 20 minutes in with the various programs. Enjoyed it!

Lynn160 05-10-2009 07:32 AM

Just found this thread on Wii Fit. I got mine back in January. I didn't really start using it until late March when I got serious about weight loss. I am now up to jogging 5 miles a day on the Free Run. I do 20 minutes in the morning and 20 in the afternoon. I usually can get 2.5 miles in each time. Does anyone else do the free run? My "Mii" will slow down on the screen from time to time even though I run at the same pace. I changed batteries but it still does this time to time. Anyone else have this problem?

Delphi 05-10-2009 07:47 AM

Lynn ~ I noticed that as well with the free run, I kinda want to just slap that little Mii in front of me and tell him to get out of the way. Do you put the Wiimote in your pocket or do you hold it in your hand?
