Didn't do any Wii fit last night - I'm getting too sick and I have to move tonight, so I was trying to pack everything...hopefully I'll get to do some tonight.

Did an hour and fifteen this morning. I'm thinking about getting the Jillian Michaels game for an evening workout. Just thinking about ramping up my workout a little, and also for something a little different.

Well, got the Wii & WiiFit this past Christmas, and have been using it. I really like it, and am happy to say I am up to a full hour!!! It was a struggle at first to get that half hour in, but as I opened more of the different exercises and was able to increase the time on them, it doesn't take much to get to that magical 60+ minutes! I really like the free step (I strap on my ipod and crank along with the fastest rate - I got up to 1080 step in 10 minutes today!), and really enjoy ending the workout with the meditation (have reached 180 seconds three times so far).

I've been lurking since before Thanksgiving, and this thread convinced me that it was a good investment, for both my health and my family's. Thanks everyone for your information and enthusiasm! I'll pop in periodically, if that's ok, and check in! Blessings to you all!

Got my four days of Jillian Michaels' in this week, which was my goal. Also did some balance games on the Wii Fit and went for several really long walks with my husband. That was nice.

I'm feeling good and energized, but my food choices haven't been the best this week, so my results have been "about the same" with weigh-ins. That said, I'm feeling stronger and leaner. My butt is getting HIGHER!!!!!! And I know that means the Wii Fit work is really making a difference. :D

Someone asked about the Body Test. When I *do* the Body Test, I always do the complete test. I too like the little stamp on my calendar. ;) And I figure, if I'm there, I might as well get my reflexes checked a bit. ;) Just takes a minute. I'm really good at the 5X balance test, the single leg balance test, and the agility test. I'm less good at the standing still test, and I can NEVER get a good result on the walking test. I don't know how to "fix" that either. Oh well. I always have a higher Wii Fit age when I have to WALK. LOL

Anyway, I do the body test every time I exercise with Jillian or with the basic Wii Fit or with Dance Dance Revolution. Basically, once the balance board is out and the remote is in-hand, I might as well do the complete body test.

Yesterday I did the Jillian workout on hard. And guess what? It's HARD! ;) But it's also really wonderful! I got up a fantastic sweat, really got my cardio pumping, and it just felt wonderful. Burned nearly 1500 calories in 20 minutes yesterday!!!!!! Crazy, right? That's a good workout! :D

Hope to get in another four days with Jillian next week, and also more time on the basic Wii Fit. It's been a while since I've been boxing (outside of the Jillian boxing, which is different, of course) and I really do like that (expert level) on the Wii Fit. So, I'll probably do that and advanced step class when I get up in a few hours. A nice long hour or more on Wii Fit would be a good Sunday goal.

Congrats to everyone on doing such great work! I'm hoping for a better week with my eating next week, so this good work I'm doing with my exercise can really pay off. Ah well, it's all a jolt to the metabolism. Gotta love that!

Did an hour on the fit this morning, but we are having a big family dinner today so I really have to get another hour at least in tonight. I hope I can behave myself in the food department today. I made a low fat sugar free
cheesecake for desert, I even found some light cherry pie filling to put on it, but I think maybe adding the Brandy to the cherries was not such a wise choice.

Was snowed in all weekend in my new house, and managed to get in 250 minutes on the Fit...I won't get any tonight - I'm going to a resort to facilitate team-building for a conference, but I think that I will definitely meet my January 31st goal of 1500 minutes.

Hi, everyone! I'm new, but I LOVE my Nintendo Wii, and I also own a copy of WiiFit (which I also really, really enjoy!). I think this is such a great idea. I would SO be up on making a WiiFit goal and reporting in on it every day!

Are there any other Wii gamers in general out there? :D If only I played my WiiFit as much as I play my Animal Crossing, haha...

Has anyone tried My Fitness Coach for Wii, or My Weight Loss Coach for Nintendo DS? I saw some good reviews for both, but I'd love to know if anyone here's given either a try! I love my video games, so if they rock... I'll have to pick them up!

Did an hour and a half this morning. After the yoga and strength training I did two rounds of advanced step and and a twenty minute free run. I didn't think I would be able to do it but I sure shocked myself and DH was amazed. The fit is paying off.

I have my fitness coach for the wii. So much fun. I swear the personal trainer is trying to kill me  It is basically like an interactive DVD and it's never the same workout twice. My only complaint is that I wish it used the wii fit balance board.

In Spring 2009 (I think) EA Games is supossed to release a fitness game. It looks like its a mixture of the good things from Wii Fit and the good things from My Fitness coach. Looks very very promising. :lifter:

I want to join the Wii Fit Challenge. Already have logged over 300 minutes this month. Love the expert boxing. I do wish that there were more "routines" for the aerobic step. Good luck to you all.

muppetmummy 01-14-2009 09:17 AM

I've been good and done an hour a day for the past 3 days.

When does expert boxing unlock? I've been doing the super advanced for ages and can't wait to unlock the expert!:?:

janal14 01-14-2009 10:13 AM

I did two hours and forty minutes last night - all of the strength training activities (at the highest reps that I have unlocked), all of the yoga poses, some hula hooping and quite a bit of free step.

judipurple 01-14-2009 10:53 AM

Upped my freestep to 20 minutes - that, and some strength training & yoga (25 mins.). Got disgusted with the weight this system keeps giving me (just won't budge!), so I changed into shorts and brought it down a pound or so. I know that doesn't change anything, really, but sometimes even a false loss can give me a lift! Just gotta keep keeping on!

Love the Wii Fit - husband didn't exactly agree to it as I got it for Christmas! But he said if I used it, he wouldn't be mad! I've done over 5 hrs on it since last week but I don't know if there is 'Expert Boxing'? I saw where you could extend the time from 3 to 6 then 10 minutes.....does anyone have any info?
Thanks, Liz:carrot:

And I didn't mention this earlier, but my piggy turned SILVER last night...so exciting!
