I can't stop eating sweets today. I don't even have that many in the house. I just have been craving sweets. TOM is on it's way out so that can't be it. I just don't know why. Well, I will stop this right now. Drink a big glass of water and brush my teeth. Tomorrow is a new day!
I have a few moments, so figure I will join in here....
What I like to be called? Wish/Angela
Kids? None now, but someday
Occupation? Which one!?! LOL!... F/T loan officer at University, P/T consultant for non-profit agency, VOLUNTEER events planner for said non-profit. Yeah, I'm a busy one.
Pets: I'm allergic to all things furry , but might get a turtle or a fish someday.
Eating Plan: A calorie counter who is trying something new...My maintenance cals for my goal weight are roughly 1650 per day, so I go below that always but never below 1200. So that's my range. So far, so good. There is a book called 'Calorie Queens' that has an actual plan, but I'm just doing my own thing.
Goals: To keep my sanity with all my jobs and continue to stay on plan, be organized and lose weight.
Hello to all you newbies and THANKS AGAIN MOM! You must have spent half your day putting all those posts up. You are a fantastic group leader. The "Mom" name is very fitting .
Hi Mom23BC, Congrats on the weight loss! I'm not sure if 500 steps is a lot. I stick to jogging/walking/swimming for cardio. Update us how that goes! I'm going around the whole of UK (he's livin in Scotland, actually. so will be meeting his family too!) and bits of Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic is the plan for now. Hoping to catch two music festivals or at least one of them - Glastonbury + Roskilde!. So, yeah, I can't wait for it! Uni life has been a rollercoaster in terms of weight gain n loss for me. And now, I hope to be done for once!
Adaem: Yeah, time of month sometimes seems to be the whole of two weeks, right up from the week before to the week after. Well, at least for me! Same old crankiness, feeling absolutely crap for no reason, cravings unexplained. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just giving myself an excuse to indulge but that still doesn't explain the crankiness+sadness! Hope your cravings go down soon enough!
I've basically had a crap day. TOM too! And well, I ended up doing something extremely stupid, involving my health and quite possibly damaging it for good... I just hope that things turn out well! I won't know for a good few months or more though . Anyway, been paranoid and worried about it the whole day and surfed the web and digested everything there is to it. It's been extremely wasted, today. So I feel like I need to get my life back on track for the week. Calorie-wise, did ok. But I went easy on myself with the exercise. And now, I feel like I should end the day on a brighter note - even with the impending doom looming a voice at the back of my head says - and I'm gonna go do some situps and lunges!
And I'd appreciate some tips on boosting the immune system! I seem to be seriously in need of it. As it is, I'm exercisng and eating veggies n fruits (i'm a vegetarian). I can't increase my sleep time though - I get 6 hrs - and yet my doc keeps advising me to boost my immune system! Thanks!
Wish: Wow, you are one busy one. All the posting, just made me more motivated. Weird!
Ennevee: I walk everyday, but on one of the days, I am going to pull my step thingy out and do 500 step-ups. I just want to do something to push my limits. Also, when my baby jogger comes in (waiting on my tax refund), my sons and I have a plan to be able to run a mile straight within the next year.
I have to agree with the doc. More sleep whenever you can. Even if it is cat naps during the day. Do you take vitamens and vitamen C? Just a thought. I hope all works out for you.
Now for your trip. I wanta gooooooooooo! Sounds like a blast.
2B - I think they are just called Teething Tablets. I think they are by the vitamins near the pharmacy at Walmart (that is were I found them) You could also ask the pharmacist. Teething is such a hard thing. My oldest would just wake up in the morning and have 2 new teeth. My youngest had a hard time. Fevers, crying for seeming no reason, runny nose and then they would only come in one at a time. Poor thing. I hope you both get better!
Well my sweet tooth has subsided for now. I walked over 2.5 miles this morning. I wanted to go for 3 but I needed to get in the shower before everyone started waking up.
Enne - I want to come with you too. I never go anywhere. It is so cold here and no warmth in site for at least 2 month.
Okay....figured i had a few moments and would answer the little survey about ourselves.
What I like to be called? Lumi or angie works for me.
Kids? 3. I have 3 beautiful girls (what mother doesn't say her kids are beautiful....lol). Ages 16, 8 and about to be 6.
Occupation? My professional title is Administrative Assistant. But i do WAAAAAAY more than my job requires. But to add the fun part into my job description, i work for a radio station (8 stations actually). I am the receptionist. I love my job though because i meet so many people. People who live in my area and of course, famous people. And then there are the radio dj's, which sometimes can be pretty hot!!
Pets: I love cats. I have 5 that live outside and one little furball that lives inside.
Eating Plan: A calorie counter. I try to stick around 1200-1300 a day and drink about 64 ounces of water a day.
Goals: To lose weight to be more healthy, productive in my personal and professional life and of course, to look good for myself, my man, and my children. I want to fit into a size 2 and be trim and toned by bathing suit season this year. (This year, i really AM going to do it!!!)
Hi ladies I'm fighting a cold my sweet Dh gave me over the weekend. I've already thanked him many times I haven't been watching what I'm eating I just eat when i'm hungry...which isn't to often. I did get take out though ...I didn't feel like cooking and still don't.
2B~ i remember seeing those ...they can be found with the baby meds in drug stores too. I seen them by the baby ear pain drops. I will Pm you the link to the drug store so you know what the box looks like
Wish- Wow you are a busy one. Your super woman
Mom2~ not sure when I will get to my meeting this week so go ahead and put me down for a 2 pound loss (234)
enne- I don't sleep much either ...wonder if thats why I got the cold so fast. I do get my 8 on the weekend's though.
Adaem~ Your sweet tooth is probably you changing your diet. I crave sweets the first few weeks on a diet...thank goodness for smart ones
I think I am going to go ut and get those tablets tonight. DD has the runny nose the fever the crankiness you name it and the tooth is coming in so slowly!! I have seen the little white dot for a few days now and DH can't really see it. At first he thought it was in my head. My older girls just want it to pop out already and me too!
angie- I also have 3 girls!
adaem- good for you on the walk! I need to workout today but I am so sick I don't feel like it.
2B2Bfat: I really hope you start feeling better. Maybe you should take it easy, until you start feeling better. I hope your baby's teeth comes in soon. My baby loves chewing on a very cold wash cloth when she is teething. After all this talk about the teething tablets, I may have to go out and get some (for the next time she starts teething).
Adaem: Sounds like you are doing good on your exercise.
Angie: Your job sounds like it is so much fun. My kids would love to live at your house with all those cats. They love cats.
Losing4another: I hope you start feeling better. Congrats on the two pound loss.
Everyone: I hope everyone is having a good day. I really need to get my exercise in today. It is raining here today. Maybe it will stop so I can get my walk in. Have a great day!
uuugggghhhh....it's hump day and i'm still 134!!! When will i drop another pound!!! It is soooo frustrating. I drank 10 glasses of water yesterday, ate soooo light it's not really funny and still.....134 this morning. My legs are sore from class monday so maybe i'm retaining fluids that kept me from seeing 133. But i got class again tonight so that means on friday....i will probably still be 134...or even up a pound. And somebody brought bojangles chicken bisquits in and i hardly ever eat breakfast out so i had one. I'm sure that's not going to help any. ~~sighs~~~ Well...I have to drop a pound eventually so i guess i might as well just be patient.
Mom23BC: Thanks for the tips! Yeah, I am going to try to get more sleep and actually eat some oranges and bananas. I sorta dislike eating those. Don't mind the juices though!
And yea, it's a good idea to challenge your limits! It's nice that you have a goal planned with your kids. A healthy lifestyle for all! How old are your sons?
Adaem: Im sorry about having to cut off your workout to get in the shower before the rest! I completely relate to that!!
About the weather, well, I live in the tropics and I wish there was more variety rather than the consistent sunny/rainy days. That's all it ever is where I live! And sadly, the beaches aren't that great either. I need to go across to another country for the smashing ones. Ah well.
And you guys have only made me more excited for my trip. ahhh! It's not set in stone yet. Long story about orthodox parents and stringent rules and winning their trust but I'm sure I will end up on the trip. You guys are welcome too! And well, even if you can't go just yet, do plan some trips! I love travelling. But I guess sometimes things aren't always that easy!
lumi: AMAZING weight loss you've accomplished! Inspiring!
wish: I just saw your intro and wow, how do you manage with all those jobs!? Good work!
losing4another: Get well soon! I wouldn't really be up for much cooking if I were sick either! So, just try to stick to healthy choices for the take-outs.
Todays update: Been on with track workout and calories! So, it was good. And I actually walked all around the city centre and walked home too. A good two hours of brisk walking that was!
Well, I have a question about weighing oneself. I basically do it first thing in the morning. Is that good? When do you all do it?
Anyway, I think I need to revise my starting weight cos TOM might have affected it. I seem to have lost quite a bit in too short a time going by what my scale said this morning.
lumi: Patience is definitely good! I'm not much of an expert with this. Sometimes the weight simply doesn't seem to drop and I have no idea why! Maybe you can increase the intensity of your workouts in the morning and well, I think you can also eat certain types of food to help with increasing the metabolism rate but I'm not sure. Heard coffee helps and well, I loooove coffee, so I use that as an excuse sometimes to drink more! Anyway, I read up here n there and well, after a while it's all forgotten. Anyway. Good luck & hope you see your weight drop sooon!
Mom23BC: Ahh.. Hate it when the weather is in the way of my workouts! Hope it lets out soon enough for you!
Angie: I know about that stupid scale. You are probably just retaining water. Either that or your body knows you should loose that pound and is trying to hold onto it for another day or two.
Ennevee: I have an 8 and 6 (at least he will be six in a few days) Y.O. sons and a 1 year old daughter. I love traveling. If I didn't have to worry about money, that's what I would do. I wouldn't even have to have a real home. Just travel, travel, travel.
