hey everyone!

today was my WI which went well so my hard work is paying off

kappy - have you been able to stick to using fit day this week? It's what I use on a daily basis and it's really helped me stay on track.

jasonslea - did you get a chance to do yoga again?

fooled - congrats on your smaller loss. It's still a loss! Keep us updated on your next WI

darby - I was a junk food vegan for the past year too. I decided it wasnt working. heh so now i aim for vegetarian meals but i look at fat content before anything else. It must be great to be working on diet and exercise with you DH and I hope this week goes better for you. Hard work pays off

theprettyone - congrats on nearing your goal! I'm getting close to mine too, it's a great feeling

mom2mollie - it sounds like you've got a great lifestyle going on - I'm sure if you stick to it, everything will pay off.

I dont want to jinx myself.. but I might may my own goal a week early... I'll have to see. I'm already thinking about a Christmas goal... this has been a great learning experience for me as my first mini goal. (Still aiming for Oct. 8 - CDN thanksgiving)

No yoga yet. My back is feeling better but now my car is acting up! I have no money to get it fixed but I have no choice but to put it in the shop. It'll just have to stay there till I get some money....God knows how long that's going to be.

Okay sorry but Luna bars are NASTY!

Greetings all! Sorry to be MIA, it's been insane around here lately.

Yes, Valpal23, I did go back to FitDay and it does help. I'm slowing figuring out the foods that just bounce that scale through the roof. Doesn't always stop me from eating them, but if I do eat something that will have a negative reaction I try to counterbalance it with water or exercise. Awareness is amazing.

Darby1, you lost 4 pounds in a week? I'm totally envious! Good for you, keep up the great work.

I'm in an allergy battle right now, I'm losing. It's going to put a huge crimp in my exercising (they hate it at the gym when you do nothing but cough the entire time you're there!). I've also had one heck of a challenge keeping up with the yoga. I do ok and then it's a battle to do it again. I was going to add weight training next month, but if I'm unstable with what I'm doing now that won't help. So, new plan. Another month to concentrate and get consistent with yoga in addition to the cardio then I'll add in the weight training.

Meanwhile I'm pleased to report that although it appears I'll miss my September mini goal I am down 6 lbs from the beginning of the month. So there is still hope for Thanksgiving.

Best wishes and good luck to all with their challenge!

Good news everyone: got the car back! And it's driveable (sp?)! Guy said I needed a new radiator but my stepdaddy knows how to do that so I don't have to shell out $400+! WOOOOT! GYM tomorrow! My back's feeling better, ready to get off my fat tushie.

Congrats Darby and Kappy!

You're shrinking cause you're working that booty off Pretty!

Another lb for me too! I've started solid foods with baby and eating less for me too, so I think the weight is coming off a little easier! Plus I ran 3 miles in a row last night and feel great today (that's a major one for me!!).
Keep it up gals!

the numbers on the scale didnt move for todays' WI but I did lose 2.5 inches. This has happened to me before actually... where I near a mental number I set for myself and what should have been 'the final week' becomes a no change week because I 'felt safe'

how's everybody else doing as we get closer to October? I hope the weekend goes well

Hey all!

I didn't do as well in September as I needed to in order to meet the Thanksgiving goal, but I did make progress. That's a great thing. I'm working on a lot of things, like mixing up my breakfasts and lunches. Usually by Friday I'm so tired of the menu I'm grazing anything I can get my hands on. Not good for long term success. Isn't it funny how we start out with a simple goal (lose weight) and end up on a real adventure learning ever so much more about ourselves than we ever realized we needed to know.

Here's to another month of adventures!

Hey,
It looks like everyone is doing well. I haven't weighed myself, because I sort of fell apart last week. I imagine I gained back my 4 lbs and maybe a few more. Anyone else have emotional eating issues?

kappy-you have a great attitude, looking at this like an adventure. I bet you have better long term success than somebody who looks at dieting as mere drudgery (like me!).

Jasonlea-How's your back? Are you back into the yoga?

valpal23-good job on losing the 2.5 inches. I would take losing inches over losing pounds!

ThePrettyOne-seriously, you're disappearing! I'm not even sure my waist is 37"! Congratulations.

Mom2mollie-great job on the running and the lost lbs!

You ladies are doing a really awesome job!

My husband came home yesterday after being gone a week, so he's picking up some take-out for dinner and then I am going grocery shopping tomorrow, and we'll get back on our diet. I really need to get onto some sort of exercise program. Why is this such a hard thing? I'm the type of person who can do anything I put my mind to, but for some reason, losing weight is just one of those really really difficult things for me.

This may sound crazy, but has anyone ever heard of accupuncture or hypnosis working? I know diet and exercise is the way to go, but I guess I'm just looking for something to give me an edge.

Have a great day, everyone!!!
