  • I'm new to this site completely - but I need as many motivational challenges that I can get! My current Thanksgiving goal (based on my Christmas one) is to lose 8 pounds by Thanksgiving! Only 3 weeks for theis challenge for me - but God knows I need it!
  • Hey ladies! So it's official! I got the call from HR today and I start in San Antonio on Dec. 10! Wow. Now, I'm kinda annoyed and excited nervous. Annoyed cause I have about three weeks to pack up my apartment (I hate, hate, HATE packing!) and excited nervous cause I'm actually doing this!!!
  • Congrats Jasonslea.

Goodluck with the packing and the move
  • I messed up more than a few times this past week. I ate candy (like, 3-4 pieces at a time) and I don't even LIKE candy...but it's just everywhere!!!!! But somehow....like always, I'm down another pound! I hit 138.00 yesterday, which officially makes my Thanksgiving goal of 5lbs I set back in August! I'm still losing slowly, but it could be worse! The closer I get to "goal" the more worried I am that I won't be happy enough when I get there!
  • Thank you Unstoppable.

Thanks That little photo in your signature is HY-STER-I-CAL!
  • Hey girls,
You all look like things are going well. Congrats on the weightloss, PrettyOne. Just take things one day at a time, and think how far you've come!

Congratulations on the new job, JasonsLea. That's awesome. The only place I've ever been in Texas was San Antonio, and it's a very nice city. Have you been there before? Also, good going on talking yourself out of the fudge. I'll always reach for the chocolate when I'm upset!

Hello and welcome to all the new girls!

Things for me have been up and down. I've been doing great on exercise! I've been working out several days a week, and I'm really happy with that. Eating has not been as good, so I dusted off my old Weight Watchers at home kit, and have started using that. I've always had problems with portion control, so, even though I HATE counting points, I decided to do this.

Hang in there, ladies. Only a few weeks to go!!
  • everyone!

    Pretty ~

Darby ~ I'm going to rejoin WW before I leave. Get the new materials. I've never been to San Antonio but my mama says it's beautiful. I'm so excited!
  • Hey there,
    How's everyone doing?

    JasonsLea--Are you packing??

Well, one week to go till Thanksgiving, and I'm down 6 lbs. so far. Weight Watchers is working for me. Of course, it's only been a week, but so far, so good.

Exercise is going well. I'm doing the Firm dvd's every other day, and trying to do high intensity interval training on two or three other days.

I will say that I am addicted to edamame. Have you guys ever tried them? Delicious, and a cup fills me up like a meal.

I'm going to try to lose 8-10 more lbs before I go to Vegas. I was going to not count points on Thanksgiving day, but now I think I need to be really careful if I want to keep losing.

    How's everyone doing?
  • Hey Darby. I'm packing and trying to control my excitement. I've never tried edamane but have heard of it. what is it?
  • Edamame are so food, esp in salads
  • Hey JasonsLea--
I bet you are getting excited. I was in the Air Force for 10 years, and I loved when it was time to pack up, cause then I knew I'd get to explore a whole new place!

Edamame is soybeans in the pod. I found them in the frozen food section. They're usually lightly salted and you just have to put some in a bowl and nuke them for a few minutes. Then you just pop them out of the pods! If you're doing WW, one cup is only 2 points. They are full of protein and fiber, so they're filling too. Sometimes that's all I eat for dinner, and I'm satisfied.

I never thought about putting them on a salad!! Yum!
  • Hi all!
Sorry I've been MIA... busy stuff.
Well, my goal was to lose 15 lbs and get to 171 by T-day, but it doesn't look like I will. However, I've lost 9 lbs while trying. Not too shabby! Maybe I can do one or two more before T-day.
Guess I'll have to set a new goal after that. Hope to see you all in another challenge after this one's all over.
JasonsLea, the weather here is great! ...although I think we just got a cold front last night. It's been breezy and sunny, in the 70s the last couple of days. It's been a gorgeous November, but you never know whether to wear shorts or a sweater here in the winter!
  • Darby ~ I'm going to have to try some when I get a chance. Probably after the move.

M2M ~ Question: do you go to a gym? Which one? I'm looking for a gym cause I want to get into a routine as soon as possible.
  • So I got a call from my mama earlier, letting me know to not get storage because she and my stepdad are coming up to get all their stuff out of storage so I can put my stuff with theirs. I kinda figured this would happen because even though I'm 21, I'm still her child and she doesn't want me making the trip (at least the first time) alone. So there goes my road trip. Kinda disappointed but have that warm fuzzy feeling cause my mama loves me (in her usual non-verbal way).
