ThePrettyOne~ I'm sorry your stuck on your weight loss. Have your tried changing it up a little to jump start the weight loss again?

colaz~ Sounds like a great weekend. And you've got yourself a great BF.
Yes we home school. Our girls are 6, 5 so I'm teaching 2nd and K. And then the boys are 3 1/2 about to turn 4. We're close in age I'm 25.

Not much going on today playing with the kids. Girls are done with schooling for the day. Gotta fix supper later. Eating snack now and then more playing. I'm gonna work out tonight didn't get to it last night or this morning.

Lekhika, I'll try your treadmill tip on the elliptical tomorrow. I've been trying the "interval" suggestions I got from somewhere else and I'll be danged if I can sustain a higher, faster period for 2 minutes straight! Somewhere around 45 seconds I feel like I'm about to fall off the machine in exhaustion!

Colaz, that sounds like one wonderful weekend girl! Way to go, hope you're able to move closer together. He sounds like a real keeper.

ThePrettyOne -- I hear ya. I don't know what's going on, but I swear the scale and I are not in the same universe. According to FitDay I should be making progress, not stuck like some overloaded truck that made the mistake of parking in the mud during a rainstorm. If you figure out how to get your scale to budge would you let me know what you did please!?

I went down two pounds this week, but last week I had gone up a pounds so it is really only one pound but I'm happy about it, as it could have stayed the same. I still think I can reach my goal by Thanksgiving.

I don't really know what to change. I admit I don't exercise. I'm not exactly sedentary, aside from actual workouts, I am fairly active in my daily routine. I will go a few weeks with a good exercise routine (cardio, not into any weights), but when I don't see like 10lbs fall off overnight I figure why bother and just stop, lol. I KNOW I should start and stick with it, but nothing has retained my interest for longer than a month. My last "thing" was cycling. I liked it when I was doing it.....but you know how it goes, you get lazy! I know it's possible to lose weight without exercise. Obviously....I've dropped 21lbs sans much activity, but maybe it stopped working?

Morning ladies! I ended up not having time to get to the gym yesterday...opps! Oh well...today! Today I will go workout...planning on heading out here within the 1/2 hour.

Today my roommate and I are finally going to get at painting the kitchen...I'm looking forward to getting another room done. Right now, the house looks kind of odd with old and peeling paint in the kitchen, and a designs home look paint in the living room. LOL! So, that should take up my entire day.

Yeah...paint smell! lol

Ally, yeah we are fairly close in age. I'm turning 24 here in November...wow, that really isn't that far away now lol. I can't imagine having kids right now at this point in my life. You were 19? Wow!

Fooled! WHOHOO! WTG on the weight loss! Have another great week!

Kappy, yes...I really hope Steve moves up here. I really don't know if he will though. I'm sorry that you havn't been losing as much as you should. It seems like you are working so hard!

Pretty, you really seemed to have a great week last week! I know, the last few pounds are really difficult to get off....one thing to keep in mind..are you sure you are getting enough calories for the amount of activity you do? that would also cause a standstill in weight? Hang in there, and keep working hard! Don't get down!

ThePrettyOne ~ I'm not sure maybe try phase 1 of South Beach. I've heard it's helped others to rejump start their weight loss. I hope someone else know something here I'm not sure.

colaz~ Have a great workout today. I'm doing mine tonight might try pilates lol will see not sure with me being this heavy if I can do it or not.

Yup had my first right after I turned 19. Got married a week after I turned 18. I love having kids this young. And with losing weight now I have energy and don't tire out as fast.

And I've totally been avoiding this thread because my WI last week said I gained .2 of a pound! Apparently no matter how much calorie counting I do in a restaurant I still gain weight.

But I'm staying on track

And congrats Ally!

I actually used to aim for about 1200-1300, but I was losing so I upped it to about 1500...now I am thinking maybe 1200 was better for me? 1500 tastes so much better

I was actually thinking about doing the Fat Smash Phase 1 to see if I can make something happen, but I don't know how I feel about living on brown rice and beans for 2 weeks

You girls are making me jealous with all your losing!!!!!!

Hi everybody,
I'm still around, just going through some stuff right now and not able to get online much. Diet and exercise have basically fallen by the wayside, but things will get better!!!

I'm really proud of all of you for doing so well.

I'll get back in the swing of things after the weekend.

Morning friends!

I'm sorry I havn't been around for the last couple of days...been busy. Good news...down another 2 lbs so far this week! So, total down 7 lbs! Whoohooo!

Been kind of down also...I found out yesterday morning that a lady that I worked a lot with at the Senior Living Community (she was back in the memory care unit...one of the youngest there....72...and full of energy...) died suddenly from a heart attack. It was just a shock.

Other than that... Kym and I did get our kitchen painted a few days ago...it is a pretty pretty medium green and looks great! Yesterday I subbed at a school here in Iowa City...in a Severe and Profound classroom (students with Severe disabilities). It was a good day.

Today I am subbing today in a 3rd and 4th classroom. I am heading our here in a few minutes...I'm walking. My car is making funny noises (the brakes are making a thumping noise...my friend helped me drop it off lastnight for them to look at).

Ally, WTG on 4 lbs! You really worked for it, and it is paying off! I have recently started looking at kids and felt a yearning...lol. Never really thought about it until I started getting pretty serious with my bf Steve. I have a feeling it will still be a few years yet...hopfully.

Val, :evileye: no hiding! LOL...even if stuff isn't going to well, try to sneak on here...even with your head hung low...and update us. We will try to chear you So, this week is going better? When are your weigh ins?

Pretty, maybe try shooting for about 1350/1400...I think 1200 is way too low and that is why you were losing so slow...but maybe your metabolism needs time to catch up. Just don't get discouraged...be consistant and keep up the good work! Hang in there!

Fluffy, WTG on 2 lbs! Keep it up!

Darby, sorry things are kind of nuts right now. Hope you get a chance to sneak on and let us know what is going on (if you are comfortable). Hang in threre!

lol

I"m here!

Honestly I thought I was doing well... still under my cals that week and doing the exercise. But I did lose a good 20 pounds the month before so I'm trying to be patient.

Things are under control I even did weights last weekend after my boring weigh in (which ended up being too much and forcing me into a mandatory rest day).

WI for me in Saturday morning. I think if I havent lost anything this week I'll drop my calories by a couple hundred.

Congrats on getting another 2 down Tessa! :congrats:

and keep us posted darby. Things will get better!

good job everyone keep up the hard work We can make our goals

Since Monday I have actually been around 1350 (well 700 on Tuesday), not on purpose, but I think I am going to keep it up and see if I notice any changes.

I hope because if not, I'm starting to think of crazy things I can do to break this plateau!!

The good news is that even though I haven't lost anything, my hips have gone from 38 to 37.5, my calves went from 15 to 14.5 and my thighs have gone from 21 to 20.5. So I lost 1/2" everywhere!!

Oh, PrettyOne, losing inches is fantastic! Not all the changes will appear on a scale, those are the good kind worth celebrating!

Speaking of scales, yesterday's weight was down 1.2 while today's was plus 2.4. I'm not in the mood for these swings! I know, yesterday was unique (a meeting out of town that required 3 hours on the road) and no exercise, but honestly. I'm bummed. Still got in my first cardio for the day already, have to go again after work. I need to do the same again tomorrow since I missed yesterday. Yoga is turning out to be a lot harder than I thought to work in. I mean I'm doing it 3x a week, but I'm not making it through an entire program yet. Something else to work on, what can I say!

yay I'm down It was a great weigh in and I got to move my challenge ticker satisfyingly closer to my goal!!

Kappy.. I used to weigh myself twice a day but I would get so discouraged. I had to stop and kind of hide my scale during the week.... please dont be too bummed! We all flucuate and it's NOT your true weight.

I do pilates... its kind of like yoga and it's been a year and I STILL cant do an entire program. I got all the basics down... but it can be tough too. One thing I've had to keep in mind is not to get comfortable with just going through the motions and to actually keep pushing myself to increase the difficulty. You'll get there

I'm headed out. yay happy weekend everyone!
