Alright....so far so good today. I ate my scrambled egg whites w/ low fat cheese, i have drank 6 glasses of water already (and it's only 3:30pm), and i managed to pretty much stay away from the starbucks crap today...(i did have a nibble of their lemon pound cake but that is it!!!).

Today starts a new week and hopefully another pound to drop. My weed for today is as follows:

W- lots and lots....at least 8 glasses (got 6 in so far)
E- cardio class at gym tonight
E- 1200 calories (so far so good)
D- so far so good....keep up the good work and don't let the holidays ruin you!!!

I am actually going to be working for my meal this year so that will be helpful. My boyfriend and his sister volunteer at a restraunt to serve thanksgiving dinner to the homeless so i am going to go wait tables or whatever they need me to do, so that should burn off any food i get to nibble on while i'm there. I decided to not make any plans to go have a formal sit down dinner with anyone this year for thanksgiving. I'll wait until christmas when it means so much more to me to be with family. Then i can pig out on that one day of the year!!!! (Looking forward to a sexier new years eve this year!!! wink wink!!! lol)

E - Veggies, buy some fruit, watch portions at lunch and dinner which will both be in restaurants
D - Remember how good it feels to be healthy.

Have a good day. I'll try to check in this evening.

Hey everyone!

I for one am not worried about the holidays. I guess because I'm going to be moving and not really thinking about Thanksgiving. My family is in Texas so no temptation there.....even though my aunt and hers is still up here and she makes the BEST sweet potato pie....but I'm not going to think about that. Getting my car fixed Friday!

Hey y'all!

Feeling under the weather. Can't sleep. Did very good eating-wise the past two days, but just scarfed down (let's see) 28 premium crackers and some margarine. I just recorded the blip in my eating journal and if I am OP for the rest of the week I will still be on track. Somehow that makes me feel better knowing I didn't completely blow my chances at an OP week.

I went up 2 pounds this last week. That was the kick in the butt that I needed to decide to start getting serious about the amount of food that I am putting in my mouth by measuring, counting and recording. I know I am doing just fine on the water intake and the exercise. There might be some tweaking I could do in my exercise plan by lifting weights on a regular basis, but basically I am happy with how I am doing in these areas. Eating-wise, I thought I could just generally eat better, but I guess old habits die hard, so it's time to start recording. And lo and behold, these past two days, I have had to say "No" to a lot of things that I would normally fool myself into believing was OP enough. I'm bummed that I am under the weather today because I was feeling so strong about my decision to get more serious about my food intake. No reason the eating has to go haywire, but I do tend to want to comfort eat, hence the crackers and margarine.

aud - I am so proud of you for dealing with your stress in ways that don't include scarfing down food!

I am grateful that arguing about the kids is not on the agenda in our household. My DH used to run a nursery school for 8 years long before I knew him; he has a degree in Early Childhood Education; and finally, when he left his ex-wife due to mental illness, he brought his two kids with him and was a single Dad for years before I met him. Now we have a 9 year old son, his kids are grown and moved out and he has been nothing but a wonderful guide for me through this mystery called parenting.

Now, finances and house cleaning-wise...lots to iron out there over the years and it definitely is not over yet! Probably the biggest frustration for me has been his desire for me to be home more and to work more. Which is it?! I have finally managed to stop engaging in his mixed messages and just do what feels right for me. I still find it hard to do that, but I am better at it then ever before.

Just a tad chatty there, eh? I think I'll hit the hay now. I have a VERY busy day tomorrow. I sure hope I feel better. I don't know that I will find the time to check in. Sweet dreams everyone!

*sighs* Mine's just wasted and when he hits a certain point in his drinking, he turns into a jerk. I think I'll have to sleep out on the couch tonight.

Hey, everyone!

JasonsLea - Sorry, I don't actually follow a recipe (yeah, I'm one of "those," unless it's baking). I just use 7-8 eggs, then mix in chopped bits of everything I can think of. This week it's red peppers, onions, tomatoes, and broccoli. The broccoli is the only think I pre-cook. Beat the eggs, mix it all together, salt and pepper, and spoon into muffin cups. They bake for about 45 minutes at 375. I freeze them, then thaw and eat one for breakfast. Some people eat two. Hope this helps!

Mothermavis - I really did NOT want to leave my warm apartment and run this morning, but knowing you had already done it guilted me into it. That's a good thing. It wasn't really hard cardiovascularly, but my legs started to feel like lead at the end. I think I need to push myself more during the walk intervals to maintain a higher heart rate. I'm planning on Thursday morning for Day 2.

Have a good Tuesday, everyone!

I feel fine this morning, but I am cautiously optimistic as the blah feeling tends to hit when I expend any energy. After a fairly good night's sleep, I feel a tad bit more normal. I skipped swimming this morning though so as to not expend more energy then I already need to today. Hence, time to check in after all.

JenMusic & mothermavis - I started the c25k program in July and on the first of this month, I completed the 9 week program. Now I run with ease. I haven't been out for a couple weeks mind you, but at least I know I can do it! I highly recommend going to a "running" store and getting yourself a true pair of "running" shoes if you haven't already. It will save your shins. You go, girls!

Holyteror - You mean DH just got home and proceeded to get drunk?!

W - 64 oz.
E - Rest
E - OP
D - Eating comfort food will NOT make you feel better. Sleep instead!!

Pretty much. he slept sunday and was roasted by the time i got home yesterday.

I told him this morning that I can't handle his behavior after a certain point in his drinking. I also told him I wouldn't handle it....that I'm not going to deal with it because I can't anymore. I told him that I couldn't help him, that he had to do it on his own. I didn't yell at him though. I think that made him think a little.

I'm really tired

Now that you mention wasted hubs holyT . . . think I mentioned that we had a minor crisis and instead of stuffing my face - I took a nap? When I woke up, there was a gala barbq going on in the backyard with dh & the neighbors - which was like the very LAST thing I felt like doing so off I went to the Y to exercise, right? When me & Tess got back it was all over with and I was left with Surly-Boy on why I didn't want to barbq etc . . . yeah, I gotta think about this some more - there IS a certain point here in mid-life that dh turns into a jerk after drinking a few - becomes downright poutish . . . so glad you brought this up!

Remain jealous of all c25K'ers!

Mmmmmmmmm, egg cup recipe . . . quick/ez & LC! Tx jen! Now if I can just find my muffin tins - do you grease the tin?

Hello again musicT - glad to see you're still Rockin' On with us!

WEEDing UP:

W: Shooting for the max - 150 oz

E: To the gym audster!

E: Strict Induction continues

D: You WILL find the missing file auddie - you just will, okay?
