Yes darby and tessa I did my cardio It was weird though.. I set the bike at a higher tension from the start.. and didnt start sweating till I was almost done. Yeeeah I guess those cheap 10 year old bikes have some issues. ah well. at least I did it!
(I can't do morning workouts at all darby..... I need that precious time to wake up and sulk alone). When do you usually work out?
so tessa what's the plan for lunch today? I'm having a lean cuisine spa, with tomatoe juice and fat free sugar free yogurt as my pre workout snack.
and I want to welcome everyone that's joined recently. we can do it!!
So, we got the living room painted today. Three walls are a tan color and the 4th is a deep red. It looks really neat...it will look even better when we get the furnature in.
I am exhausted, but I finally had a good day eating wise. I was on my feet painting all day, so I think my exercise is done too...I sure feel like I was running and lifting at least lol.
SO< finally a good day!
Mel, I live on N. Dodge Street...by Dubuque and Governor street close to down town. I just moved here with a friend of mine that is going to the university to get her masters in religious studies. I am teaching So, you might be around here in December? Very cool.
Pretty, lol about the not compaining about his 'new' look. That is great that you two knew eachother before. That really shows that you are really into eachother, and not just into looks. 2 and 1/2 years? Wow, is there a ring coming anytime soon? How much older may I ask? I dated someone very briefly that was 11 years older than me...it was a bit too much for me lol. I am actually now dating somone who is younger...13 days younger. LOL, he will never hear the end of it!
Val, I had a slimfast capachino drink...pretty yummy, and filling enough. Normally I have fruit or something with it, but didn't have much of an appitite while painting. It sounds like you had a very healthy lunch too. WTG on cadio!
Well I blew it today was shopping for grocies and out of doing it before grab a sub OY. DUH ALLY can't have it on South Beach. Other the that I did great today. I know it takes a little bit to get use to being on this again. Hope everyone else day was better the mine. My husband did the same thing so don't feel too bad.
kappy Nope not to late to join in at all.
Melgettinthin~ Welcome let us know once ya now what you want your goal to be .
Darby1~ ya know I'm not really sure why it makes some tired. WE cut all carbs out no bread, pasta, fruit and certain veggies we can't have. There's A SB section here if want to learn more.
I had another good eating day. I didn't work out today, but I knew I wasn't going to. Food was on track. I had class this afternoon, and I drove home through the most horrendous rainstorm. It was so windy and the hail was coming down so hard I was afraid I was going to go off the road. I don't think I've ever driven through such a bad storm in the summer. Usually in the winter if I've driven through a big snowstorm, I come home and immediately pour myself a huge glass of wine to steady my nerves. Luckily I don't have any wine in the house right now!
Tessa-I was all excited thinking "Taboo" was a new exercise program
I hate painting! We finally finished all our rooms (we've lived here 6 years!), but now I'm looking at my bathroom and thinking it needs some freshening up.
Valpal-good job on doing the cardio! I'm like you, sulking in the a.m. My favorite time to work out is late morning or early afternoon. Unfortunately, I am usually at work at that time, so I have to force myself to work after work.
Prettyone-a trip to Cabo sounds like an awesome way to celebrate your weightloss. Your boyfriend sounds great. My husband and I are going to Las Vegas in December, so I want to feel comfortable! And buy some great new clothes too!
Ally-I checked out the SB site. It looks like a pretty solid plan. It's very protein based, though, and I'm vegetarian, so it would be difficult for me. I'm guessing you feel tired because carbs are what give you energy. How long does this phase last?
I'm not sure I'll have time to post tomorrow. I'm working until 5 and then I have class tomorrow night. I won't get home till nearly 9! So, I won't be working out, but if the weather is ok, I'll take Ricky for a walk before work. I'll pack my lunch and dinner. My husband is coming home on Saturday so I'll weigh myself on Saturday morning and see how much weight I've lost.
Have a great night everybody and a great Friday!!!
Ally, well it is good that you didn't break your diet for somthing like pizza hutt or burger king...oh well...today is a new day. Shake it off, and start fresh! How is breakfast going?
Darby, LOL sorry about the 'Taboo...Taebo' confusion. Tehehe....I got lazy and improvised. I do like Taebo...pretty high intense and fun. That sounds like quite the storm...glad you are ok. I hate driving in storms. Well, I hope you are having a great day if you don't get to stop in. Staying that busy will be exercise enough...especially if you go for a walk.
Well, this weekend I am going on a church retreat with my roommate and a few others from the church I am new too. It will be good to get to meet some of the other members. We are leaving for that in the afternoon. Until then I need to do some packing for the trip, and we are going to be doing some touchups on the painting job from yesterday.

Yes, we've been beating around the bush regarding an engagement the last 6 months or so. He asked me to send him photos of styles I like "just out of curiousity". So I'll take that as a good sign! He's a really good guy though, he wouldn't tease a poor girl with a line like that then never come through We are moving to Minnesota (where he is originally from) and buying a home near Minnesapolis, so if that's not comittment, I don't know what is!! Just a few years older, I'm 25 and he's 28, just perfect!

Unfortunately the thing that caused me to gain, alcohol, is the one thing I refuse to give up And the Cabo trip will be all about drinking, partying and doing nothing! We are meeting some friends down there about half way into our trip so I imagine I'll gain a good 2lbs during the 7 days I have never been to Vegas, but want to! Mostly because I don't fly, and I am just now getting used to the fact that if I want to go to Mexico, I have to use a plane, lol. I flew to Minnesota (second trip in a plane, first time was a 25 minute flight and I was drunk and sedated) back in May and if it weren't for Valium, I don't know if I would have made it! Have an awesome time in Vegas!!
Thanks theprettyone, I thought it was in November sometime...I'm used to celebrating both because there were a lot of Americans at my university. Your bf sounds like a sweetie
anyways! morning everyone... had to come back because today is my weigh in and I lost 3 pounds this week It ended up being one of those weeks where I weighed in twice a day and drove myself crazy.
I have a bunch of painting to do too Tessa... but I've been avoiding it because I'm doing the insides of the cabinets in the kitchen.
Darby -I work during the day too so I sit at my desk and psych myself up for coming home and doing cardio. It's not so hard to do because I had some health problems the last 2 years that really limited life.... ha ha so now I'm lucky to be able to do cardio. I actually tried to do pilates in our boardroom which has this amazingly cushioned floor.. .lol but my boss walked in on that once and I stopped.
I hope the weekend goes better for you Ally. It's hard to change those habits sometimes hey? I went out for dinner with my brother who got this huge order of poutine (fries, gravy and massive amounts of cheese) and I couldnt help but have some of the cheese!
so metgetingthing have you decided on a goal yet? Let us know how it goes.
I've been thinking about it and I've got a goal. Down to 250 by Turkey Day or sooner. How proud will I be?? VERY! Oh, and defintiely able to shop for clothes in the 'regular people stores' again by then!
Hello All, hope its not too late to join in on this challenge. My 30th B-day is Thanksgiving Week and that gives me extra motivation to stay committed to my low-carb/increased exercise lifestyle.
Hi Ladies,
I hope everyone's weekend is going well. I'm doing ok. Friday went well as far as food. I was exhausted when I got home from class, though. I think I'm going to drop that class. That will take me down to only 2 classes, and that's really better for me. I tend to get stressed pretty easily when I feel overwhelmed, and 3 classes and work would definitely put me over the edge. And stress makes me eat. And no class on Friday will give me an extra day to exercise. Right now, losing weight and getting back in shape is more important than school.
Anyway, my husband came home yesterday after being gone a week. We went to lunch and I was very proud of myself. I only ate half my meal and boxed the rest. I wasn't hungry later on, so we didn't eat dinner, but we did share a pint of ice cream. Oops. Well, I won't be doing that again because it made feel sick. Today is going to be tough because my sister and I are taking my mom shopping for her birthday. We're also going to lunch (Thai food). Hopefully my mom will behave. She can be a bit of a diva.
Prettyone-I know how you feel about not giving up alchohol. I don't drink nearly as much as I did in my 20's, but I will drink a glass or two of wine at dinner, and that's not something I want to give up. Although, I didn't buy any wine this week, just to see how much difference not drinking would make to my weightloss (not much, according to the scale). And there will be drinking in Vegas!!
Valpal-I laughed thinking about your boss walking in on your pilates workout. I bet that was awkward. Several years ago, when I was in the Air Force, a friend of mine and I were in the BX and for some reason were standing in the condom aisle. I think we were making fun of some of the names or something. Anyway, our commander walked around the corner and spotted us, and because he was a friendly guy, came over and talked to us. It took him a minute to realize where we were standing. It was embarassing for everyone.
Mel-good goal! We'll all be proud of you too! I can't wait to shop again.
Hotter-Welcome! You can get a lot done in 12 weeks! And what a great birthday present to yourself.
Sockmonkey-Hello! How's school going?
Well, I want to weigh myself, but the scale is in the bedroom where my husband is fast asleep.
My goals for this week are to work out 5 days, and continue eating properly.
Well things are going much better here now. I just need to kick my butt into year and excerise. I do mine at night once kids are in bed works better that way so tonight I will do it. Today's busy with schooling the girls and chasing 2 active boys. Just sitting here enjoying some coffee before the crazy day starts. My crazy period showed up so I hope that doesn't hold back my weight in sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I always hate that week weigh in.

I don't drink nearly as much as I did 2-3 years ago. Seriously, it was 6 nights a week, completely binge drinking to the point of vomitting. It was bad! Now it's maybe twice a week, and no where near the amounts I use to drink. Well, maybe once in a while, lol. I've definitely slowed down, and that's all you can ask of me! I'm sure as I get older, it will appeal to me less.....well that's the plan at least!
I'm STILL stuck at 143....now it's like over 7 weeks. God help me now!!!!!!
Down 1.4 since joining the challenge, I have absolutely no idea how I pulled that one off. Not knocking it by any means! Who knew when I started 3FC that Sugar Snap Peas could become a snack addiction . . . pretty sure I'd have laughed in your face had you even dared suggest it back then! Onward, ever onward, the battle continues . . . Good luck on one and all on your own paths.
