Always happy to hear about everyone's success! I'm still having a pretty easy time- its a pain to eat anything with these wisdom teeth gone and the pain mess have made my appetite totally disappear- I can barely get in 1,000 calories a day. I just hope it doesn't backfire into a binge when I'm feeling better!
How is everyone planning on handling Easter celebrations? I have a soft food excuse but I know my in laws are still going to try to force feed me whatever treats they can!

Congrats to all of us who made it through another day.

Inglesita, thanks for the info. What do you plan to do once you finish your thesis? is that for a Masters or Ph.D? Either way, congrats to you for working so hard!!

Good luck to all of us to continue to do well this month.

Got through yesterday - with no problems - but today, just now, I almost had a binge - been dealing with some pretty aggravating stuff today ie paperwork and clearing out my study - I really did get stressed -but I've stopped it by coming here and having a little of something sweet, which isn't a binge food.

Day 5 and if I take it easy - I'll make it to the end

Good luck to everyone else on the journey today !

Erin, if you are so much out of control, my piece of advice is that you go low carbs for some days. That will stabilize your blood sugar and you will not be thinking of food all the time. If Atkins (and similar diets) has anything good, it is that: you stop thinking about food so often and do not get hungry. After a week of eating low carbs, you will see that you are much more in control... Then you will be in a position to incorporate (good) carbs slowly, always keeping away form bad carbs until you are much more in control and can even go hungry for some time without getting desperate. Hope that helps!
Good job, everyone!

14 hours into the day without bingeing. Longer than I made it most of the week. I just have to think how good it will feel to go to sleep tonight without hating myself for bingeing. My cravings aren't as had today, probably because I stayed away from sugar so far. Need to escape sugar one more time today (coworkers birthday) then i have a chance. I will keep praying.
Thank you all for being such good examples!!!

day 4 without a binge! i even had my trigger food- trail mix with lots of chocolate, nuts, and dried fruit, and was able to portion it into my daily calories without going crazy! nuts are about the only snack that really leaves me feeling satiated and satisfied, I think it's the high fat content, so i have to portion them out in little baggies for the week and not go over on portion, but they REALLY help keep my cravings down for sugar and fatty foods, i would definitely recommend them (in portion control!) to anyone having trouble with fatty food cravings! good luck everyone, tomorrow is friday and marks the weekend, where I usually have the most trouble. let's all stay on plan for the sake of each other at least!

Hey, all I thought I'd check in with you for accountability. I went five weeks without a binge, then I binged & purged last week and tonight. I feel disappointed in myself. I ate a piece of candy today, and ice cream last week which I believe were triggers. Stupid, stupid, stupid! So, I want to spend the rest of April binge free.

Demosthenes, just move past those slips and start over. Five weeks is a lot, and you can do it again. You'll see the longer you keep in control, the easier it gets. But we are never cured... Learn to listen to your body and to stop before it is too late.
I went for pizza with a friend, first time I ate pizza in about six months. I may have eaten more than usual, but left a lot of my portion untouched, did not eat any chips or peanuts (served with the pizza for free), did not order dessert (and they sell the best ice-cream in town) and had a diet Coke and coffee (no sugar, no creamer, no nothing). Tomorrow has to be a low cal day, definitely! But it was not a binge, just a regular dinner for a non-dieter, my free meal of the week.
Good job, people! Let's keep working on our self-control!

Good morning - and it's on to day 6 for me. Yesterday was a bit of a pig - got into some frustrating stuff - which almost tipped me over - now I have to learn to just do the frustrating stuff in small doses. I'm now three pounds lighter so happy that I held on yesterday and that I am here again today - it really helps

Have a good and successful day everyone

Very good advice. I may follow it myself. I tend to have low moods on LC, but I think with adding in some good carbs it might stabilize things.

inglesita64 - Great job on staying in control with your dinner

Today is the start of day 6 for me. I am so excited to have made it this far without any binges. The scale has also been good to me this week. I've gone from 224.8 to 217.8 since Sunday. I know it's all water weight but it still excites me to see my numbers going back down and the puffiness going away.

Have a great day everyone
