Calories for me were 800. But my average for the week so far is 1100. It's not bad, not at all.

Hi Mary, we must have been typing at the same time.

That should result in a drop in weight, sometimes we need a jolt in our menu's.
I've been neglecting to get my calories up to 1200, shame on me! I know better but I'm usually too tired to check my Fitday at night to see how many almonds I need to eat to reach 1200.
I forgot to post the following recipe, it sounds good and I plan on making it this morning.

Upside Down French Toast
2 Tbs. Margarine (I'm going to spray it with zero calorie spray and omit the oleo)
1/4 cup Brown sugar (I'm going to use cooking Splenda with FF Maple Syrup mixed up in it to make brown sugar)
4 slices canned pineapple, well drained
2 eggs (I'll use 4 egg whites)
1/2 cup skim milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4 slices of thick bread (I'll use 8 slices low calorie bread)
Oven temperature: 400
Spray pan or melt oleo, which ever you want to use.
Sprinkle with brown sugar & cinnamon. Lay pineapple slices over brown sugar mix and space evenly. Beat eggs, milk and salt until blended. Soak bread in milk mixture until soft. Arrange bread on top. Pour extra milk mixture over bread & bake for 25 minutes or until set and lightly browned. Invert entire pan onto large serving platter. Enjoy!

Thumbs up on the French Toast, we loved it. I could only fit 6 slices of bread into the cake pan and used light Vanilla soy milk instead of skim milk. I didn't want to open up a whole can of sliced pineaple so I drained two individual pineapple cups and used that instead.
2 serving @ 237 calories each
This is very filling, we had two slices of Turkey bacon with it.

Bobbolink~it isn't super bad in the twin cities, just a few inches, and looking out my window it seems that cars are getting along fine. However, I think round 2 is supposed to come today, and then round 3 tomorrow, so this may be just the beginning! hope your toilet keeps working way too much info. haha just kidding ps where do you buy your 'flat outs' ...or what is the brand name or something...what part of the grocery store? i want to look for them!

calories yesterday were ~2100. food was great at 1410, but then I went out to a bar with my boyfriend and a few of his buddies and consumed approx 700 in alcohol. I guess I'm not going to let my calorie counting run my life so much that I go to a bar and don't even drink anything; after a long week of school I want to be able to go out with people...so i'm not too concerned, I'll just get back on track now. On the other hand, I must be feeling somewhat guilty or I wouldn't still be writing about it! I GUESS I could have had 2-3 drinks instead of 4-5... Shoot, now i'm feeling really guilty...I need to stop writing before I start my classic "I feel guilty anyway so I might as well eat ice cream and carbs all day" that got me to 163 in the first place!

hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Calories yesterday were around 1500. Can't tell for sure because of the restaurant lunch.

Bobbi~I haven't found that flat bread--where do you find it? Is there a particular brand? I've been using whole wheat tortillas, but the calories are more than 1 slice of bread! Your French toast recipe sounds delish!

Have a great day everyone!

Wal*Mart on a low shelf right in front of the deli cases. They have 3 or 4 different kinds, I prefer the original "Light Flat Out", that's what the brand is called. It's oval, about 10" long and 7" wide. One whole piece has 9 grams of fiber and 90 calories. (The Italian is good for making pizza) I like the plain because you can make a sweet little treat with it, spray it with 0 Calorie spray, sprinkly with cinnamon and Splenda and toast in the toaster oven. Yum! It's good toasted and spread with FF Strawberry cream cheese too!. The possibilities are endless, scrambled egg whites and diced ham is good in them for breakfast roll-ups. Use them the way you'd use a flour tortilla. Hope this helps!

Thanks, Bobbi. If I get to a Wal-Mart I'll look for it. I'm kind of a Wal-Mart "snob". I don't really like shopping there. Give me Target any day!!!! I believe we have a couple new Super Wal-Marts, but they are SOOOOO crowded and no one speaks English so I don't like going there. I'll look for it in my regular grocery stores. Do you think Trader Joe's has anything equivalent? The last tortillas I got at TJ's got moldy awfully fast, and so did some muffins I bought when my parents were visiting, so I don't often buy bread items at TJ's.

Oh, I just Googled it. They carry it at Vons and Albertsons. I'll look today when I go to Vons.
Thanks so much!

Man - Trader Joe's stuff is moldy so often it's actually disturbing. More than a couple times I've gone through their vegetable aisle and see mold openly growing on the displayed food. GROSS.

I've also seen bread on the shelf with mold on it. Again, GROSS.

My fiance and I agreed never to buy bread or veggies there again. However, they do have some awesome stuff in the frozen food section, so we figured that's safe from "TJ Mold", hopefully.

I've never had a problem with Trader Joe's produce--only the fresh bread products. I assume that I have a problem there because they don't use preservatives. I'm used to having something stick around for more than 24 hours before it gets moldy!

Hi Cablgurl,

We're actually nearly exactly the same weight. I'm doing slimfast at lunches. Are you doing just breakfast or also lunch? Just curious.

My calorie deficit was about 600 today, even with eating (homemade) pizza and going to the movies for popcorn. Not a bad day! Exercise days are always a plus.

after reading all that about mold at Trader Joe's it makes me not so sad that I've never been to one!

kinda a quiet board here today...I guess maybe I am just bored after being stuck inside all day because of a foot of snow

calories for the day: 1505 (big accomplishment for me on a saturday. it helped that i was with my future sister in law a good chunk of the day, who is 5'9" and probably 120 lbs...thinking that maybe at her wedding in a year i can look even 1/10 as good as her is good motivation!)

i've decided my first short term goal: to 150 (~12 lbs) by my birthday on April 23 (~8 weeks). definately a challenge for me!

smartbutt: congrats on the good day. it's nice and refreshing to see that it is possible to have a calorie deficit while still eating yummy foods like homemade pizza and movie theater popcorn!

goodnight all!

Chloeone, I was thinking the SAME EXACT thing as you. I don't have a Trader Joe's near me. I'm thinking it's not necessarily a bad thing.

Saturday's calories - about 1200

Have a great day everyone!
