So this morning for my official weigh-in I have lost the 5 pounds I put on the fortnight before, woo! I suppose I should be annoyed/frustrated that I've been here so many times before, but for some reason I just feel empowered today!

I am really on a roll and have managed to do 3 days of 1200 calories and not feel hungry or irritable (a miracle!) so am confident this is going to last. Haven't managed to work in exercise yet, but I'm taking it one step at a time for now so I don't give up.

Hope everyone is feeling great!x

Hi everyone the sun is shining here this morning and it's already 14 outside. I was out at 8am for an hour trying to get a little color on my pasty skin so I don't feel so bad in shorts.

purplefirefly - good for you for getting back on track

Mercy03 - hello and yes I am excited to have the new challange start as well. I find them a good motivator.

dayoneagain - Congratulations on the loss and the new mind set that will take you a long way.

Well I put on 3lbs last week right after my amazing loss but I have taken it off so no loss this week but no gain either. But I am still hoping for tomorrow to be down a little more

I did the C25K yesterday but I did it on the elliptical....not quite the same as running but it was very good interval training. The amazing thing is that I have trouble doing 15 min on the thing it really kicks my butt. Well I did the whole 30 min without stopping. It felt so great to do that.

Well off to plan my day. Have a great OP day everyone.

Good for you! Feeling empowered will get you much further than feeling bad about yourself...move forward, no looking over the shoulder.

that is interesting. I would have never thought to try that on the elliptical. My sister and I were just discussing c25k yesterday and she might give it a try with me. She really wants to start running but I am a big more skeptical.

Signed up for a 10km back in February with no real intention of doing it on the day...which was today(!) and I did it in 73 minutes!

Feeling great and still on track which is fantastic! Have eaten a bit more today ~1800cals because I think my body needed the extra fuel and I reckon that might affect the scale...but I don't care! I'm proud and excited about the next few weeks!

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm finally feeling better. I have an amazing interview on Tuesday. So excited!! Weight is up this past week because of TOM but I'm ok with that. Finally going to get to go back to the gym later this week. Only 6 more weeks until I go home to the USA! So excited to visit family and friends. I have already been calling local gyms so I can find a good match for me while I am home and working on the summer challenge. Hope everyone has a good week.

**Please remember to have a starting weight posted on the sign up thread by Tuesday. If you have no starting weight, you will not be assigned to a team. Thanks so much!!

Well I am glad that I noticed the new challenge today. I just signed up and this will be (Ithink) my 5th time. I am died in blood RED, have been from the start. I have lost 70-75 pounds (depending on the day) but haven't been able to lose a thing since October. I am down to wanting to lose about 30 pounds and I can't seem to find anything that will work.

Summer is here, and I did really well last summer. I am hoping to do the same this year. I have an excellent workout schedule and I know that is not the problem. Where I'm stuck is how many calories to eat. Nothing seems to work. Then ther is the onset of pre-menopause. I think hormones are messing with me more than anything.

Well I am going to give this all I've got and I am looking for suggestions from anyone. Did a 4 mile walk/jog today. I'm a little tired.

Hey everyone! I just did my weigh-in for the next challenge since I know I'll forget on Tuesday (long work day followed by LOST confusion and then I don't always get on the computer before bedtime). I'm only down 3.8 pounds since the last 4/25 weigh-in, but that is within my goal of getting rid of 1-2 pounds a week. Slow and steady, right? I'm hoping to knock my current mini-goal out of the park by the start of the new challenge!

This will be my second TBL challenge on 3FC, and I'm so looking forward to it!

Hello all I hope you had a great day. I was once again enjoying the sunshine this morning and then went out and spent even more money this afternoon. I am going on vacation on the 3rd and need some clothes to take with me. After the end of the last challange it seemed to knock me down a size and there was nothing left in my closet......this is very good and a little bad (expensive) at the same time.

Purplefirefly - I do want to start the C25K outside but it is kind of fun on the elliptical....and I actually hate the elliptical. Good luck if you decide to do it with you sister.

me4life - did you go out for your walk/run today?

dayoneagain - WOW......CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! that's awesome and your time sounds really good to me. You must be so proud of yourself.....make sure to hold onto that feeling.

shan84 - I am so glad you are feeling better and can get back to the gym just make sure to take it a little easy your first couple times back. Good luck with the interview on Tuesday. What kind of job is it for and make sure to keep us posted on how it went. Are you staying in the US or are you going to go back to S Korea again in the fall? It will be nice for you go see your family and friends again.

mtiger - welcome to the summer challange and I hope you do as good this summer as last. I don't know what to suggest to you calorie wise as I am kind of facing the same thing. I did not to bad and now it is a slow loss process even though I was working out 2-3 times a day. It will come to you and summer (shorts, swimsuits etc.) is a very good motivator.

Mercy03 - We'll bleed blue together.

ars - at least you are down and that is a good thing. I am in the slow and steady race myself but I am looking at it as a way of slowly maintaining along the way and maintaining is always my downfall so this is just us preparing for the home stretch

Have a great night everyone talk to you tomorrow.

Jacky,
I'm just coming home for two months to the states for a visit. My life in South Korea is good right now and I have an amazing boyfriend. The job interview tomorrow is for an international school here on the island. The highest paying and best job a certified teacher could possibly get here. I'm praying that it goes well tomorrow. Need everyone's prayers and good thoughts please!

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week. Things are bright and sunny here on the island, but rain is coming Tuesday and Wednesday. On the plus side it's going to be a 3 day weekend here. Woohoo! More fun in the sun and beach time. Trying to work on my sad pale white appearance for when I go home to the states and have my first week in Florida with my family.

Hi all!

Glad to hear people are losing!

I'm up a couple of lbs from my last challenge weigh-in (4/27). Oh well, gotta get to it. Last night, I came up with a plan and a goal. I've lost weight when I have a goal in mind. I'm moving to MA in June, but will be stopping in NJ for a few days and meeting up with friends. I'd like to look my fittest by then, so I've decided to do the following:

a. Exercise 5 days a week. Walking mostly, but running as well. Goal: Run a 5K (no time limit as I have no idea how long it would take).

b. Diet. This is my BIGGEST hurdle. The meals are not the issue, it's the snacks. I have a really hard time controlling the type of snacks I eat. So, when I'm in the mood for a snack, I'm going to train myself to grab a fruit or make a healthy snack (yogurt + raisins).

Ok, so those are my goals. June 20th is my 'deadline'. I put that in quotes because I won't stop once I get there, I'll just be happy if I reach my goals by that date.

I'll post my weight every week and I hope it drops, but I'm more focused on getting my body to look trimmer. I look the same if I'm 152 or 155, and nobody will know my weight unless I stamp it on my forehead, so I'm working on toning up and looking slimmer.

Is the summer challenge starting the 18th? I thought it started on Sundays...

The summer challenge is not starting on the 18th, that's just the cut off for sign ups. The Getting to Know Your Team threads will be posted on May 23rd. On May 31st will be the first week of the challenge with the first weigh in being on June 6th.

You can find more info in the Biggest Loser FAQ's dicussion thread. If you have any more questions I would be happy to answer them for you.

Good luck with your goals and I'm sure you will do great for the summer challenge!
