Everyone- Again thanks for the sweet comments. It's great to have the support and inspiration that each of you give me daily. Especially as I start my countdown to going home. 40 days to the USA!!!

Bigmd- Thanks girl for the shout out. It's been a lot of work but I have truly enjoyed it. So excited to get the challenge rolling, and no worries. We will miss you for the first two weeks but we hope you have a great vacation!!

abluvion- Congrats on staying on plan with food and exercise. Your doing great!

CanadaMel- Are you ready to hit the next challenge hard? Red team all the way!!

Blueeyes65- Welcome to the group!!!

Soon2BFitChick- Sorry to hear about your son being diagnosed. But he really is in a blessed place. At least he has loving parents who are willing to get him diagnosed and research what can be done to help him in his learning process. As a teacher, I know there are many students who have different things going on with them that go undiagnosed, or come from homes where their parents just don't care. So, I am really inspired by your commitment to not only your children but the children you take in. How's your baby boy doing by the way? Hope all is well!!

Me4Life- I'm a calorie counter so I journal everything whether its paper format or online journaling. Good luck finding something that works for you!! I'm sure you will be all set by the time the challenge starts. Do some research on the other threads on 3fc. There is a lot of different information out there. It might be a matter of trial and error until you find something that works for you. Good luck!!!

**Well, I had a gorgeous day off today here in SK thanks to it being a public holiday (thank you buddha!). Took the bf some Starbucks for breakfast and played around on 3fc for two hours. Then we hit the road. We did the same 13 mile walk we did about a month ago. From one town to the next town and back. Had lunch along the way. It was a real kick in the butt though after having 3 weeks of no exercise because of my knee problems and battling pneamonia. It's good to be back though! This weekend is supposed to give us a lot of rain, so I'm looking forward to hooking up some dvds and sweating away inside my apartment. Haha! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Hey guys, sorry I didn't check in the last couple of days.

So I have been working out, getting a good amount of running in (made it to 1.25 miles!) along with walking. Yesterday I took the day off exercise, possibly out of laziness. Today, I'll go back out there.

I'm motivated because I'm down some more today! Woohoo!

me4life - maybe focus on getting more green on your plate. Whatever is green, make sure it occupies 50% of your plate. You can start at 25% if you're not a veggie eater at all. Then work your way up. I agree with the food journaling though. It takes about 10 mins at the end of the day and it doesn't have to be fancy, just a few notes on what you ate. That way you can see trends. I found out I'm VERY carb sensitive. The minute I overdo the carbs, I gain at least 2 lbs overnight and it takes me 3-4 days of clean eating to get to where I was before. I think it will make life easier because when you do slip, you know what to expect. Good luck to you! It is hard juggling a career, family AND weightloss. This (weightloss) could be a full time job if we had the time!

Bigmid - Awesome!! Way to go with the 30 minutes! You know I always want to follow the C25K plan but I get bored with running just 1 min, so I drop it and do my own plan. Haha

Have a great day ladies!

Hi Ladies I hope everyone is doing well today. I am heading off to work shortly and then I have a 3 day weekend as it's the May long weekend here in Canada. I am expecting to get a camera and it was supposed to come eariler this week. Now it's supposed to come today but I'm not home I really hope I can still pick it up at the depot tonight as my weekend plans were to play and learn with it so I get good shots on my vacation to the Grand Canyon.

Soon2BeFitChick - I am sorry about your son but I know that he will have all the support he needs with you. You sound like such an incrediable family and work together on everything. It will be hard for you all but with the love and support you all have he will be just fine.

BlueEyes65 - I'm glad you found us. I felt the same way and at the start of the new challange I will feel it again as everyone is excited and chats away. As you read posts and get to know everyone you may decide to ease into personals. If you don't that's okay too just make sure to always let us know how you are doing on your journey. This is my third challange and the support that you get on here is so great. Welcome to the challange.

Purplefirefly - I will be going to the states at the beginning of June so I will be looking to see if videos are cheaper there. I will look at no more trouble zones Thanks. I think a friend of mine has the Turbo Jam so I will get her to bring it over on Sunday to try.

me4life - even small changes in diet and exercise for now will benefit you and then you can learn new things to try along the way. besides you made a big start by joining us for the challange.

Shan84 - HAPPY LONG WEEKEND!!! Wow a 13 mile walk that's fantastic. I think it is supposed to rain here this weekend too.....better than the snow that was originally forcast. So I will be joining you in the DVD workouts.

Sunnigummi - Thanks I am very proud of my 30min. Great job on the run that's awesome. WooHoo for being down some more. I still haven't tried the c25k on the ground just on the elliptical. I really want to try running though.

Mercy03 - Hello have a great weekend.

NancyO - If your lurking can you bring your Turbo Jam over on Sunday...lol

Have a great day everyone.

You caught me. Yes I'll bring the turbo jam.

Hi everyone, if you didn't guess, I'm a friend of Jacky's (bigmid) and she conviced me to join up for the summer challenge. Hopefully it'll get me past the plateau I've been stuck at for the last few months! Looking forward to getting to know everyone.
