What is the most flattering outfit or piece of clothing you own?
These pair of bootcut jeans from Gap. They are my slimmest fit jeans and they just hug my booty, hips and thighs in all the right places. So good that next month, I'm going to go for the skinny fit and see if I can wear them yet. Last time, I could barely get them buttoned. I've lost more inches since then. mtiger: I think I may be one of those weird people who don't have that problem with extra storage space or bagginess when they get clothes. I'm not an apple or pear, I'm an hourglass and my waist isn't too much smaller than my hips. So my size in pants and shirts is the same (XL/14 right now). So, I have a decent idea of what I wear in each store. |
:carrot: Yay REDS!
:congrat:Orthodiva :congrat: Mindy on getting below 200! |
The Red Team has had a most excellent week. :carrot:
Congratulations, Orthodiva on being our Biggest Loser! :carrot: Misty, I am sorry about your breakup. And that you have to move, on top of everything else going on. I hope that your new situation works out for all of you. {{{hugs}}} Mindy, Onderland! Yay! You! :carrot: I wish I could walk. But I can't get my breathing up and have my chest expand, yet. Too painful. I would love to be able to walk around my yard, as it is good sized and I can get in a fab walk there, but we have a big yellowjacket nest in the framing of my front planter box. I don't do well with yellowjacket stings, so I can't spend any time out in my yard. No one, not my husband or landlord will deal with them, so I am trapped in my house, most of the time. Walking outside my yard isn't an option, as I live on the side of a mountain and I can't handle steep climbs, yet. So, today was a better day. I am right on target with my calories and I drank plenty of water, too. My ballot is cast and I await the final results. I love Election Day. :D I hope everyone voted. No matter your politics, this election is important and our voices need to be heard. :carrot: |

I'm not looking forward to the day when it's too big to wear. Well, I am, but you know... Quote:
Way to go, Red Team! Now let's keep up the good work. |
WTG REDS!!!!!
Congrats orthodiva for being TBL - and Mindy! Welcome to Onederland! Don't ever leave :) I'm happy that my weight is a little bit down - too bad I couldn't post today! hehe Anyway - I am still under the weather and have a rush translation job to do so I don't know if I am going to go to the office to day. I feel like staying home and doing nothing.... |
Everyone is doing so great. I'm mostly a lurker, but you guys motivate me to keep going. I'm still around and still working to keep loosing. Good luck everyone.
|
Well the funeral and all is taken care of now but in the mean time I have been hit with the stomach flu. Not fun at all! Thankfully I am feeling a little bit better now. Still going to WI tonight though, just not sure how that will go. Congrats to all of you for winning the WI this week.

I'm doing so much better with exercise. I've gone 4 days in a row without missing any workouts. :cheer:
|
Ok so I am behind on exercising and on this thread. Bad me! I am still holding at 186 but given that I did no exercise yesterday that is no surprise. I am actually headed to the gym in a few minutes to do my cardio. I work tonight so I can only put my son in the childcare for an hour so I will get my cardio in and do extra at home with weights. I should be able to take care of that and get caught up a little.
Now that the election is over a lot of my anxiety had faded. I am a news junkie - I read CNN and NYT every day - not every single page but I try to keep up on domestic and foreign events. This election meant a lot to me as a spouse of a soldier, and it's very hard to be a mostly liberal person in a very very republican world as the military mostly is. But it's over now, so I can relax (a little) and see what happens during the transition. I don't know if I mentioned it, but I was hired on to help coach the kids swim team at the Y. I used to be a head coach at the Y when we were stationed in Georgia, so I have been missing it dearly. It's an extra 5 hours a week commitment of time, but I will make it work. And it's extra money too so that is great. We are struggling a bit right now. The Army owes us money, and my husband is due a promotion but everyone is being transferred and he's being lost in the shuffle. So the extra money we were counting on around Christmas looks like it isn't coming. So extra hours at the Y is a definite plus! I am hoping by Christmas at least the owed money will be here, but I'm not holding my breath. The government is quick to take your money when you owe them, but by golly if they owe you they take forever to give it to you! We have been waiting over two months :( Anyhoo, I digress. I just flew through yesterday's posts. Did I see mtiger made onederland? CONGRATS girl! I knew you could do it. Slow and stead, remember...I hope your trip through the 190s is fast so you can get as far away from 200 as possible. It's good for the psyche! Have a great Wednesday everyone. I am off to get my run on at the gym! |
After two weeks of little exercise, a lot of eating, a lot of sickness, and a lot of tears, yesterday was finally a good day. On the way to work I picked up some cold medicine and took it all day, which helped. I was emotionally pretty stable. I stuck to 1400 calories and did the 30 Day Shred!
Today I am down 2 pounds, and have 4 more to go to get back to what my ticker says. I'm hoping to get them off quickly! |
Good morning ladies! I have been doing great with exercise...not so well with eating. This election has had me munching non-stop! I'm glad it's over with and happy with the result. My bedroom is just about done...can't wait to see the finish product. I've been so tired. I can't wait for the weekend to get here so I can sleep in a bit. Well I hope your all doing well. I need to go get Kyle from the bus in a few. Have a wonderful day ladies~

i did 15 minutes of medium intensity weight loss workouts with my jillian wii game, then 30 minutes of wii fit. so i met goal.
the lady called this morning about Sam (the chocolate lab). she's coming by here with her at 1pm to meet with us and Diego. hope they get along....i'll let yall know how it goes afterwards. hubby's truck died at the mailbox and ihad to drive up to jump his truck off, and he's taken my van to take his battery in to get a new one, so he's going in late to work. he's bringing me cash for Sam in case it works out we can keep her here. i'm excited!! even hubby's truck dying and needing to buy a new battery cant ruinthis mood - potential new pet family member and i did 45 minutes of wii workouts, and wow do i feel it. esp the running i did on jillian ;) be back later. |
Well I have done my cardio and I did yesterday's abs LOL. This is why I hate planning out chores because in my life if I plan for it, it usually changes! I ran 2 1/2 miles for my cardio and walked 1 mile. The run exhausted me, but I feel better now. When I was stretching my legs afterward I looked down and thought "damn, when did my calves get so muscular?" It was a nice moment. Hopefully one day my thighs will follow suit :)
I am off to do some weights before a shower then have a healthy lunch. So far, so good today! |
Everyone is coming right along with their exercise. Go Red Team!! :cheer:
|
Hello everyone. I see our numbers are dwindling down in the weigh in thread. We're down to 52 team members and Blue Team is similar. I hope everyone who has been bumped off or left is still doing well with their weight loss.
Mtiger, congratulations on hitting Onederland! You must feel great. This week feels so long and I haven't had the excitement of an election to break it up. I did watch the results for a while last night on Canadian tv. It made good tv watching to say the least. I've been on plan all week so far with both food and exercise. I feel as if the only clothes I wear are t-shirts and exercise shorts or pants. Some days it takes me most of the day to get time to exercise but I'm dressed and ready to go since morning. Catch you all later on tomorrow (or tonight if I'm not too busy). |
