Hi Guys!

I;ve been hiding behind my bad choices and self loathing, haha
Time to get back out there!

Congrats Andi! What a milestone!

Monte - you rock! Happy b-day and keep on chugging!!

Hi all!!

Rain Dancer 11-08-2008 03:17 PM

Andi and Monte Cristo, congratulations on hitting your milestones. :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot:

ArmyWife, your new furbaby is so adorable. And your picture is great. Nothing better than a big, dishy guy covered in Labradors, huh? :D

So, a good day, today. Better than yesterday. I am struggling with staying on track. It is mental, more than physical. I think I am wanting to numb out some pain and stress. Whatever it is, it is driving me a little bonkers. I mean, one big reason for this process is to learn a new way to live and I am not going to be successful if I can't heal the disconnect in my mind. I just have to stay with it. Keep trying and keep learning. I am determined to make this work, to lose the weight and keep it at a normal healthy level for me. I am still losing, so I haven't mucked it up completely. :dizzy:

So anyway... I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. :D

ArmyWife02 11-08-2008 04:06 PM

thanks Rain :) hopefully soon we can get the whole family (and the dogs) together for a big family pic ;)

modcat44 11-08-2008 04:47 PM

Congrats Andi and Monte! Really cute dogs Army!

Well, I've had some emotional stuff going on and didn't work out for 3 days. I really hadn't felt like going on here either, b/c I guess I thought I would feel worse. Anyway, I forced myself to go work out this morning, now went back on here to catch up on all the posts. Congrats to us for winning, and orthodiva!

I am still feeling a bit down, but better. I guess the only good thing to say is I haven't felt like eating so much like I usually do when it's just stress.

My weight today is 185.8. (That's good, actually.) I can't believe it. I am still in it, just need to get my happy back and go work out more.

We all just need to hang in there!

I had a good weigh in this morning. Another 1.5 pounds gone away. I do wonder though how much I'm going to have to lose to get rid of some of this belly fat. I can see myself thin as a toothpick with this huge belly hanging off the front of me. I measured my waist last night and it's not good, not good at all. The rest of me looks pretty good but that dreadful stomach still hangs on. I think stomach fat removal should be covered by medicare (Canada) but it's not. And of course it's not covered by my insurance. It's a health issue. And a nice flat stomach never hurt a girl.

Well that's my rant. :D

ArmyWife, those dogs really compliment each other and your husband's not bad looking either.

Miriam, Rain Dancer and MonteCristo, hang in there. You know you can do this. Think new clothes, new image in the mirror, healthy body.

Okay guys, I know I suck. I have not been fully participating in this challenge. It's really showing in my weight too. I'm just having such a hard time this time for some reason.

I did my gazelle for 30 minutes today. I'm still not on track with my eating just yet, but I'm doing a take off (kind of like a cleanse) starting Monday, so I figure after I do that I'll be more likely to follow my plan.

I really want to meet my goals for this challenge. I'm going to have to start working really hard if I want this and I do.

I hope everyone is doing good with their plans. A big congratulations to all of you who are losing. I will be joining you in being a loser soon. Have a great night.

Hi Friends~

I just did the Shred Level 2 for the first time today! It was so painful! I worked up a huge sweat, even though I couldn't even do it all.

Joyce- welcome back to being a loser! You can do it! :cheer2:

ArmyWife02 11-08-2008 10:30 PM

congrats beth on doing level 2 30DS. I did the first day on level one, and never did it again...so for everyone that has lasted more than one day, i salute you :)

I just finished 41 minutes of wii fit (mostly aerobics - boxing and step and hula hoop)...and some strength training and yoga. and a couple fun balance games (like penguin slide and ski jump) :) lol
I wore my HRM this time. wow - 430 calories in 41 minutes. i'm impressed. i think the heartrate jump in the aerobics part helped. lol might play some more later, but i did my 40 minutes tonight. so i'm happy. i weighed in at 132.1 lb this morning, so hoping to keep the losing steady.
good luck everyone!

I made it through the morning shift and no one was killed! YAY! :carrot: I'm so sleeping in tomorrow.

Okay, so today I saw that the Canteen in the hospital has the Wii Fit Bundle for $200. It's the Wii Fit game, board, board cover, socks, charger/usb, and mat. How much did you guys pay for yours?

ArmyWife02 11-09-2008 12:40 AM

I got my Wii Fit game and board for $89.99 plus tax at GameStop and the silicone cover was $19.99 plus tax. still haven't gotten the charger and all...But the Fit game/board combo are hard to find in stores (we got lucky)...and I have seen the board/game selling on ebay for $120-130 or more...
not sure about all the other stuff...i know you can get the fitness kit for about $40 online (has the silicone cover, yoga mat, the charger, and i think 1-2 other items). i guess it just depends on how easily you can fit those items in the stores near you or online, as to if it's a good deal or not.
good luck.

Hey team,

I'm back on track (I hope)! Did some exercise yesterday and hopefully today I'll do some more. Off to work!

gggirls 11-09-2008 08:17 AM

Army - love the pic of the pups. We have a yellow lab and a black labradoodle. I'll see if I can round up a pic of them. Labs are the best aren't they! We had a yellow lab for 17 years to the day as our last girl - the only thing I didn't miss was the shedding - somehow this time we ended up with two! It's kinda cool though - our lab is mute so the doodle let's us know what's up with her.

I have had a good week OP except for a 2 hour blip on Friday night - yesterday the scale said I was up 8 pounds from it - NO WAY! Yesterday I was right back OP and pushing the water to flush the system out.

Let's win this week too team!

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE.

Hugs,
Carol

Rain Dancer 11-09-2008 10:30 AM

'Morning, everyone. :D

I had the urge to weigh, this morning and hopped on my scale. 3 pounds down. Not too shabby. :D I had a couple of rough days, this week, so I am happy with that.

Gggirls, I can't imagine you gaining 8 pounds from a two hour eating fiesta. I think that your scale is cracked.

In fact, I think all scales are cracked. Crazier than bedbugs, they are. And they are all out to make us as crazy as they are.

And, they seem to be succeeding... :dizzy:

MIL's birthday dinner last night didn't agree with my scale. They made a reservation for 7:45pm and I inhaled the chips basket I was so hungry. Otherwise I ate well though. Of course I am up 2 from ticker grrr.....going to work out in a bit and will be OP the rest of the day. Hoping it at least goes down 1 pound so I can post a loss for the week. I hate weekends sometimes!

The chips basket is evil. Pure evil. They put that basket of fresh, crispy, salty temptation in front of you just as you sit down, hungry as a horse. And they know that you won't be able to resist. The up is probably just sodium from the evil chips. I hope that you see a downward turn, come tomorrow.

I was craving cocoa, this morning. And I wanted my usual latte, too. So, I combined the two. Made my "espresso" (as close as I can get on my cheapie Mr. Coffee "espresso" maker) and whisked my usual 1% milk and a packet of Swiss Miss no sugar added cocoa mix together. Then, I steamed the milk and cocoa mix until superpipinghot and frothed it, then made my latte. It was really quite yummy. And satisfied my craving for chocolate and for something indulgent. And the huge mug (I am talking over sized, bowl shaped latte cup, here) full of chocolaty, coffee goodness was only 185 calories. :D Add my serving of Total and 1/2 c. of 1% milk and my brekkie came in at 335 happy calories.
