Sounds like a yummy breakfast. Yeah I am sure it is sodium - even the fajitas I ate tasted salty to me. I hardly ate my entree, brought it home for DH to eat as leftovers. I was so darned hungry though I could NOT stop eating the chips. Next time I will order a salad and chew a piece of gum until it comes LOL. I did steer clear of the bad drinks though - everyone else was drinking mojitos and martinis and sodas and I had 5 glasses of water with lemon. So I did well in that regard. I am never agreeing to a late dinner like that again though. It really did me in!

Question of the day: What do you reward your weight loss with? |
I will start. I used to make mini-goals of 5 or 10 pounds and reward myself with a new book, or nail polish, etc. I am on a stricter budget now, so I save my rewards for bigger accomplishments.
When I hit 175 I will buy a new pair of jeans that flatter my body not hide it. When I hit goal (150) I plan on doing something big for myself. I still haven't decided what yet, it changes, but it will be something for me only. Lately I have been thinking about getting a Zoom teeth whitening treatment since I quit smoking 18 months ago and I pretty much don't drink soda or coffee/tea anymore to stain my teeth. |
Thank you for all of the congrats!! It really means a lot!

At the moment, my budget isn't allowing for rewards. So, I am just trying to let the results be my reward. However, when I can afford something... I love to buy new nail polish and makeup, so smaller rewards will be along those lines. :D My first major milestone, getting under 300, is going to have to be met with something special. Maybe a new handbag, or something. I should be able to find something lovely on sale. :D As I lose more and get smaller, I will likely reward my losses with clothes. :carrot: |
Well, I have been buying a book for small goals achieved. For my main goal, I'm not sure. I hope to be able to buy some new clothes, though.
|
QOTD: I reward with food, LOLOL Pretty self - defeating - eh?
I hope that when I make it to goal my body will have changed a little and hopefully I'll get some new clothes. I did more exercise today. That makes 2 days in a row, and my muscles are SCREAMING!! :) Have a great Red Sunday! |
QOTD: I usually buy something new to wear when I get to a particular goal I had in mind. Right now a new bra is on the horizon. I've been "making do" with second hand clothing to bridge the gap but I'm not getting a second hand bra! Ha, ha. I just have to get shopping by myself with mom in the wheelchair. And sometimes just the satisfaction of losing "x" number of pounds is reward in itself.
I understand where you're coming from Miriam. I used to reward myself with food all the time and still do if I don't watch it. I did last night and hated myself for it afterwards. (Well, hate is pretty strong but I was disgusted.) So I'm taking it a little lighter today and making sure I get in all my water. I'm trying to eat high fiber food too, to clean out my innards of the fatty remains of last night. (mac and cheese, nachos and cheese, :() Rain Dancer, all my reward clothing are sale items. Is there any other way to shop? :D On a brighter note I bought myself a really fancy step band today with a fabric covering. It cost about $6 more than a naked band but I thought I'd try this one out. One of mine hit the dirt this week just like a sling shot going off. The handle came right off and the band almost hit me in the face. So tomorrow I'll try the new one out with my circuit workout. |
I had a good day today. I went for a good long walk. Tomorrow I start my take off which will, hopefully, set me back on the right track with my eating.
As for the QOTD, I will reward with more clothes probably, maybe a special treat like a massage would be a good reward too though...hmmm...I'll have to think about that one now. I hope you are all doing well. |
The good news and the bad news....
The good news is: I lost 5 pounds this week! :cheer2: The bad news is: I gained 5 pounds last week, and took a freebie week. Therefore this week I posted the same weight I posted 2 weeks ago. :frypan: But now I'm back on the right track! Next week I am expecting the number to keep going down! |
WTG Beth - keep on truckin!
Isabella - what's a step band? Joyce - look at all those cute little icons! 45 lbs! Woohoo!! Gals - I think we really need to open a new chat thread!! |
Bit of a gain for me this week, chickies. Sorry about that, but TOM is due this week, so for me a +0.4lb gain isn't too bad. Hopefully it will reverse itself big time next week.
I hit the gym today and did a 75 minute weight circuit. Then I decided to do a bit of a jog on the treadmill. Well - that turned into a "let's see how fast Primm can do 5k", didn't it? The answer? 38 minutes - a PB for me! And the best part? That would be the 1051 calories I burned. You see, I live 1km from the gym, and usually walk down, do 3k and then walk home for my 5k. But I forgot about the walking home part. So in actual fact I did 7k! Fingers crossed for the weigh-in, chickies. Sorry I couldn't help this week. |
sorry girls I had to post a 1.5 gain. my treadmill broke on Tuesday and I had a mini melt down. I'm back though, got a new treadmill.
|
I gained 0.6lbs over my birthday weekend, but I'm still down 1.8 for the week. I know that I didn't eat 2000 extra calories, so I'm sure that the extra will come back off fairly quickly.
|
I went ahead and started a new thread for the allowance challenge. I assume we are continuing on with it??
