Hi Ladies! I hope everyone's week went great, and you've got a wonderful weekend ahead of you.

I'm disappointed with my weigh-in, but it isn't really a surprise. TOM tends to cause stalls for me (water retention I guess), but it still a bummer. I wanted to post a loss *whine*. Oh well, that pizza I had for dinner last night probably didn't help either.

scale is saying in the 138s this morning, hoping to keep up the OP food and have been deep cleaning the house (since DH isnt talking to me), i've been busy since i got up at 1030am and have already cleaned the bathrooms (3), washed the van (they spewed beer on the side), cleaned the poop/trash from the backyard and gave the dog fresh water in his huge bucket out there, cleaned the kitchen/counters/dishes, started laundry (a day early, sunday is laundry day-but have nothing better to do), and cleaned the living room, and cleaned up under the carport from last night's diaster.....think thats it.....and all done within 4 hours (really 3 hours if you count the breaks i took and had lunch and fed kids)......
see yall later!

I took this as a sign not to go to the party. If this isn't a sign then I don't know what is! I feel like a huge weight is lifted from my shoulders. Now if only I didn't feel like crap!

What's everyone's plans for the weekend?

Later on in the evening were gonna take the kids to the carnival (assuming I'll feel better by then). It should be fun! Although I do hate "town" carnivals because everyone from your past seems to be there...LOL! I'm not slim these days so it's kinda embarassing. Oh well!

I found a new hobby ! I love going to the beach in the evening hours and sitting there watching and listening to the water. We've been taking the kids these past couple of days. It's so relaxing. I used to go with my father all the time and I loved it! We would go to the beach and sleep there for the weekend (hes a fisherman and has a camper on his truck), it was fun. Over the years the beach has become off limits because of my weight. So I guess I forgot how much I enjoyed it. Next summer I'll wear shorts and be able to swim in the water As for right now, I'm happy going there in my capris and flip flops

Roni~ I know you have the party today. Good luck and try not to work so hard. You deserve a break to ya know!
Sorry you're not feeling well. I hope ya do by now. I am also glad you chose not to see that chick that betrayed you. Have fun tonight with the kids. We did miss ya last night.

Sorry to hear about your headaches and cramps and I hope everyone is feeling better and/or can find something in their medicine cabinet to help.

I just got back from picking up my first basket of produce from the Co-Op I found on line. For $18.50:
5 red onions
8 baking potatoes
1 head of bibb lettuce (I think?)
1 bunch of cilantro
Lots of carrots
4 cucumbers
1 honeydew melon
4 tomatoes
4 mangos
6 bananas
7 nectarines
8 plums
4 pears
8 limes

Not bad I don't think
but now I have to figure out what to do with Mangos (besides just eating them plain) and so many red onions...does anyone grill them? I'd like to try it but I'm not sure how!
WOW! I think that's an excellent deal ya got there! WTG! Mangos here are almost $3 for just 1.

Mel, good luck with your new experimental meal.

Karen, Where you is?

I just got home from the pool. I got a little bit if color. We left a little earlier because there were some unruly little brats there picking on and bullying other kids for absolutely NO reason while there parents sat there with the thumbs up their butts not doing a damn thing, Grrrrrrr. And we wonder why there are so many mean bullies out there, hmmmmm.... Had they been my kids, they would have been knocked up side the head and had to sit out the rest of the day, go home and be grounded. But that's just me.

I'm about to get the B-day cake baked abd get ready for the Bday party portion of the day. Y'all take care.

Cathy - glad you made it there safely. Have an awesome trip!

Danielle - Sorry! I'm sure that's a very frustrating thing. Are there other jobs in your field available? Flax - I've only eaten them tossed into my smoothies or in muffins like you said. I didn't try it this weekend. I think it sounds like a quick and easy during the week brekkie.

Melissa - Yep just throw them in a coffee grinder and viola flax seed meal.

Karen - I just sent you a friend request on plurk - gets to plurking :-) I have no idea if anyone else is on there that I'm now aware of!

Lonnie - Step the **** away from the food!! Okay so that was from yesterday, hope you stayed OP! If not bah one day over, back on today. I hope you're feeling better by now. I used to live at the beach and it is so therapeutic to just sit and listen. Now I really wish I still lived there!

Kelly - Did they expect you do to (gasp) real work?? I need my interwebz to keep me entertained until 5:00!! Awesome freaking haul! What a bargin too! Mango salsa maybe?

CountingDown - gorgeous gardens!

Andi - Hope the workout went well with no foot problems!

Monte - No loss is better then a gain!!

Mandey - sorry you had a rough night. I hope things are back to normal today.

Roni - I'm jealous you had a pool to go to. Sucks about neglegent parents though!

Wow don't check in for a day and it takes 20min to get through these!! I did a 2mile run today!! I know it's not much for the "runners" but for me, man I'm beat! And I still have to walk the dogs! It'll be a short one ;-) Then I'm making chickpea cutlets with butternut squash fries for dinner. nom nom nom. have a good night all.

Bittersweet update to my teammies.
Today was the "BIG" day. The scale hit 130.0. Thus, I have officially moved from weight loss mode to "maintenance" mode. It doesn't change my plan at all, but it does change my participation on our team.

I was hesitant to sign up for this challenge knowing that I might hit goal partway through. So, I emailed Chellez and asked her what my options were.

The only way I can "not hurt the team" is to drop out at this point. I will still continue to post, but - since I don't plan on losing any more weight, I don't want my zeros to count against the team.

Thus, Monday's weigh-in will be my last. I have asked Melissa to remove me from the team - well, officially - anyway.

I want to thank everyone here for your help and support through the challenge. Being part of the team has held me accountable. I know that I have stayed OP on days that were challenging just so I didn't let the team down. You have comforted me, you have cheered with me, you have made me laugh. You guys rock!

OMG that is fan freaking tastic!! You've accomplished so much and I couldn't be happier for you!! Please hang around and visit with us!

Oh my no recipie :-) I just cut the peeled squash into about 1 inch strips - no more then about 1/3 thick. I spray a cookie sheet with olive oil spray or PAM put the squash on and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake at 425 for around 40 minutes stirring at least once halfway through. It is soo good though. It really kills any greasy french fry craving I get and way better for you!

Default Treadmill Interval Workout

Good Morning girls!

I found a little Treadmill Interval training workout that I am going to start tomorrow & do on M, W, & Friday's. I thought I'd post it in case some of you also wanna try it out. It kind of reminds me of the c25k, except it uses inclines, and I think that's pretty cool.

I think I was pushing myself too hard and burned myself out...that and not always being able to get to the GYM for various reason's, I just gave up and for 3 weeks now, I have barely exercise and my calories have been WAY up, so don't expect my WI to be a good one.

Anywho, I am going to get back to basics here and only do a 32 to 37 minute TM work out and some strength training. Gonna bump the calorie intake back down by dropping it 100 to 200 calories less each day until I can comfortably get back to my 1700 + a day. THIS is pretty much what started off my weight loss back in Feb when I was doing the c25k, so its back to the drawing board right?

Here's the workout:

***********************************************

Treadmill Interval Workout

Focus on alternating between high intensity intervals and recovery periods to increase endurance and burn calories.

* Beginners: Modify according to your fitness level. If you need more recovery time, take it. If the intensity intervals are too long, go as long as you can and recover. Add a few minutes to your workouts each week to progress.
* The speeds/inclines given are only examples. Increase/decrease as needed.
* Use the Perceived Exertion Scale or Target Heart Rate Calculator to monitor your exercise intensity.
* Any activity (stairmaster, step mill, elliptical trainer, bike, swimming, etc.) can be substituted.
* If you can't talk or feel dizzy, stop!
* Always check with your doctor before starting an exercise program

Intensity Levels Warm Up: 5-10 minutes
Low 5 minutes: 3.0+ mph, 0% incline
High 1 minutes: 3.2+ mph, incline: 6%
Medium 2 minutes: 3.0+ mph, incline: 1%
High 1 minute: 3.3+ mph, incline: 6%
Medium 2 minutes: 3.0+ mph, incline 1%
High 1 minute: 4.0+ mph, incline 3%
Medium 2 minutes: 3.0+mph, incline: 1%
High 1 minutes: 4.5+mph, incline: 2%
Medium 2 minutes: 3.0+mph, incline 1%
High 1 minute: 5.0+mph, incline 0%
High 1 minute: 3.2+mph, incline 8%
Medium 3 minutes: 3.0+mph, incline 0%
Low 5 minutes: 2.5 mph+, incline: 0% - cool down
Total Workout Time: 32 - 37 minutes
