Oh don't I know all about being the low man on the totem pole! I spent many many years as a store manager right out of high school making really good money with awesome insurance until I had my 3rd child when I decided that I wanted to be home with them and DH was making awesome money. Spent just a measely 5 years home and had to go back to help out as our situation changed financially and WHOA what a shock! Sure, I coulda plopped my kids in day care all day long to work 9 hours a day to manage again but I wasn't gonna do it. Fast forward to now and I STILL refuse to do anything like that and my kids are 11,13, & 15!!!! They could take the bus home from school, but something in me just won't let that happen. So, again, I always settle for measely part-time gigs that pay crap because I DO make the decision to want to be there for my kids at after school time. It just really sucks because I am more qualified than some of the clowns running the joints I work in, and they haven't the slightest idea how to run things. Oh well, I guess it's the price I pay for my decision and all......I wouldn't be working at all, and I don't *really* need to, it's just that I really like helping dh out when it comes to supplementing the kids activities, clothes, etc.... Right now, I'm just lookin for a new job! LOL Sorry, can't promise I won't slug anyone, one mgr comes to mind at the moment as she was talkin smack about me and she doesn't even know me! I promise not to beat anyone up over it if you will too!!.

just a quick check-in this week. I'm packing for my trip to Mali (western Africa) ... plane leaves in 11 hours and I still don't know what to wear
Got laundry going -- If I put those piles in front of me maybe something will jump out
Have to go buy a new laptop bag because mine is too big for an Air France carry-on. This is a busy busy day
Have an awesome time!!! Be safe & don't forget to take lots and lots of pictures! Originally Posted by jay41

This month has been/is being a bit crazy. It seems like we have something going on every single day. We just finished our revival at church, and an old friend of Dad's stayed with us over the weekend, and conducted our Sunday service. Tomorrow my Grandma is coming to stay with us for 3-4 days while Mom & Dad go to Nashville for a couple of days. Then, immediately after they get back, the entire family (except for me) is leaving for Florida to visit my sister Angie, whose in Orlando on a college mission trip. I'm a little disappointed that I can't go (work stinks, you know) but it will be nice to wind down a bit. Then when they get back, Dad's friend will be back to do another service, Angie will be coming home, and her and I will be leaving for the HSA reunion. So, if it seems like I've been ignoring you guys, please forgive me. After this month is over, I should be able to keep up better.
Keep up the good work!!
Well, it sounds like you have quite the month ahead of you! It's good to be busy tho, and with family, it's even better! Enjoy your time!!! Originally Posted by MonteCristo

Isn't it nice when the house is quiet?! I love that! I hope you had a great workout before the chaos ensued! Originally Posted by ArmyWife02

Congrats on the push ups! Is this the first week of your pushup challenge? Cause I haven’t started yet and really need to. We could be push up buddies if you’re starting this week. I am really gonna try to do it.

gf. Hope you're having a nice day.
