Good morning sunshines!

Karen, we totally need the sarcasm smiley!

Mel, sorry about DD's eye and allergies. It did look bad. I hope you can get some rest this afternoon when you get home. I swear if it ain't one thing it's another in your life, lol!

I overslept AGAIN! I guess that's what happens when one doesn't go to bed until midnight. I really need me a night owl job. Anywho, it has me feeling lazy again. This is two mornings in a row now that I've wanted to get up early and go wogging outside, and I have slept late BOTH days. I guess I'll settle for primping, a lil' shopping and job hunting.

I really do not have it in me for exercise right now for some reason. I seem to have lost interest. I was ALL fired up on Sunday, then when I found out Jess would need my car Monday, it flipped a switch in my head. My plan was to do the GYM M,W, & F, and do my own thing at home or outside T & Thurs. But when he said that, myself said, "Yanno, eff it! There is ALWAYS something standing in my way as far as the GYM goes!" I have only been to the GYM maybe 4 or 5 times in the last month, even though I have told Jess OVER & OVER again that it is what makes me happy. It is what has brought me out of my shell. It is what has me ready to face the world again. The GYM HAS GOT to be a priority in this house, like food, toilet paper and brushing your teeth! And while he says he gets it....I am thinking he doesn't! Is this an excuse? I dunno....but it is the reason the switch got flipped in my head, and I simply don't freaking care anymore. Why get all hyped up to do something when there IS ALWAYS something in my way?! I'm sorry, but I don't function well in the heat, nor do my lungs, so the outside thing in the heat of the summer, really is not an option, unless I go early, and well.....

I guess right now, I am going to refocus on food first and get that straight again. My calories have been WAY over for the past couple of weeks, with only a couple of below 1600 day's. So starting NOW I will focus on that and let exercise happen when it happens.

Sorry for the rant. I wasn't even going to post, much less go on a little tirade.

Mandey - I feel ya on the dog. My roommate's dog is just a ball of energy and we hope everyday she'll calm down some. Thus far no luck!

Karen - Awesome job getting up before work to exercise!! I keep meaning to but then the pillow feels soooo good :-)

Karla - ugh why is the ex going to be there? It shouldn't matter though. You're with him and he chose you. I'm glad you could talk to him about it and he was okay with it.

countingdown - people like that don't deserve respect.

Emily - It's totally worth it to stay on plan. Think how great you'll feel when you kick everyones' butt!

Melissa - no worries on the results. I hope she's feeling better today.

Roni - Can you exercise in the evenings outside? I hear you on the heat but at least here it seems to be tolerable after about 8:00.

I had trouble getting through my workout yesterday. I went right afterwork and was starving. I normally go home eat dinner then go to the gym. I think I'm going to have to stick with that because hunger won out and I only did about 1/2 of what I wanted to do. Better then nothing but still.

So I've always wondered what and how long before exercise you are supposed to eat. I don't want to get stomach cramps or a side stitch. I know you need some fuel, but what kind? Carb? Protein? Hmmmm?

Can you eat some raisins or a banana about 45 minutes to an hour before your workout, to fuel you? I can't workout hungry either.

I'm back!

Today is my Monday and ...ughhh! I wish I was still on vacation. Coming back to work stinks!

I'll try to catch up on personals later...I skimmed through the thread really fast to catch up. Someone (sorry I forgot) said they have an 11 month old puppy...My dog just turned 2 and he was a nightmare when he was a puppy. He even eventually had his own couch after he destroyed one of ours. He is the best dog now though....so you're getting close. It all starts getting better after 1 yr. You just have to tough it through til then!

QOTD - A lot of my friends and family. And ofcourse myself! Well and maybe a couple of ex boyfriends

I normally wait about an hour. My dinners are pretty well balanced. As a rule about 50% carbs, 25% each protein and fat. Anywhere from 400-600 calories. I do get a side stitch if I go to soon after eating.

Yeah that really helps. I normally have an afternoon snack but completely spaced yesterday and didn't bring one. Oh and I also had forgotten my sports bra so had to wear my regular one. The girls were not comfy while jogging!!!

I'm sure I'll complain but it's nice to have the reminder that I did something good for my body....remind me of that when I complain about how sore I am tomorrow!
Good for you! Do you like your Ab Jam workout? I'm looking to try something new and different as an occasional alternative to the Shred! Glad you made it to work out though! Your little sarcastic smiley was freaking out my little kitty Boots though - she kept trying to catch it on my monitor!

Have a wonderful day! I'll get those results done on my lunch hour baring any other major drama or catastrophe that seems to be plaguing my life lately LOL!
Goodness! You do seem to be having the drama! Hopefully she is feeling better. We can wait for the results but I'm really hoping we did awesome this week!

Nothing wrong with going on here - that's what here is for! I think food is the best place to start - at least it is for me. If I'm not eating well, even if I do drag my hiney to the gym I feel all bloatalicious and not at all like working out. Focusing on food is harder as well in my opinion (since I like to eat) and if you can get the food down, exercise should be cake (or the low calorie alternative to cake!)

Ouch! I don't know how you could job without a sports bra! I have some heavy duty ones that I bought and I won't jog without them.

I did day 2 of week 2 of the C25K today. It wasn't too bad but I'm definitely going to have to work on breathing/striding properly. I'm not a natural runner and I'm having to teach myself the right way to do things. I also finally broke the 155 barrier that I've been bouncing just above for the last two or three weeks. I'm at 154.6lbs as of this morning! I'm darned excited.

I'm also a little nervous because I'm heading out to Pita Jungle for lunch with an old friend who used to work here. Now, Pita Jungle is in THEORY healthy because it's mediterranean foods - hummus and whatnot but their portions are too big and I tend to eat too much. So I'm going to try to limit myself to roast red pepper hummus + 1 pita for an appetizer and then have the large fruit salad as a main course.

My apologies to Boots . Aren't pets the best? I just love 'em. They do the darndest things!

I do like the Ab Jam. I got the 2 disc Turbo Jam set off Amazon.com. It's sorta a dancier version of Tae Bo. I'm still a little awkward with the routines I haven't done a lot, but it's a lot of fun!

StacyLynn - welcome back from vacation...I hope you came back very relaxed!

Heather - I don't have the problems with requiring a sports bra....of course, I don't jog either so that probably makes a difference. I do have to add that the one benefit to my weight gain was going from an A cup to a B....hopefully I won't lose too much of that.

Good afternoon ladies~ Well yesterday kicked off my 1st day of getting back on track! It went pretty well except for a few Doritos. I did get in a nice walk with my SIL. I have to do weights today. Tonight I'm going to see a movie with the girls...The Happening. I'm not sure what it's even about, but my SIL has free passes, so heck I'll go along and sit in peace and quiet I have to say when I woke up this morning I felt hungry. I'm sure it's because I didn't eat anything after dinner...Kev and I had got in the habit of "treats!" I think we both have come to realize that enough is enough already!!!! It's super humid here today. It finally rained sometime last night...they've been saying rain for days! My grass needed it BIG TIME! I got the house picked up yesterday, so today is going to be pretty chill. I have to shower still and then I think I'll sit on the deck and read for a bit

Roni- I think starting with the food is a great idea...it's so overwhelming otherwise to me! I don't know what the deal is with me either...I know the thuoght of exercising in heat isn't fun to me. I don't care if your in a gym with AC or not. After working out and then walking outside into a blast of hot air just doesn't sound fun! You'll get back on track girl...I know you will! Take it one day at a time! ((((HUGS)))))

Mel- I hope your daughter is feeling better....I really do hate allergies! I had something a few months back with my eye. It was swollen for a week and just watered...I hated to even go out in public for fear of someone thinking Kev punched me! I hope she feels better soon...get some rest hun!

Karen- Great job on getting back into your morning workouts! Seemings how I haven't been rolling out of bed until 10:30 lately I'm super impressed!LOL!

Is there anyone in your life or past life that once you've reached goal weight you are looking forward to them seeing you again, even if for no other reason than to say HA..how you like me now!?

Oh I'd love to see my ex along with my ex-best friend! They ended up together last I heard and the last I saw them both I was very pregnant!

Just popping in to say "hi". Hope everyone is having a great day -- about 90 degrees here -- I guess that's how my husband talked me into ordering a pool today!! It will be here Monday.

Time to find some indoor exercise!!!

Whomever asked about AbJam:

Its a good workout but it's definately not a killer-hardcore one. WOrth trying though for variety... I'm a huge fan of all the Turbo Jam workouts but more so the Cardio ones. My favortie is Punch, Kick, Jam.

Well, looks like I did lose 3 this week but I feel I was a bit dehydrated so it might mess with my weigh in next week, although I was getting the same # today so who knows. Being 188 Means I'm 3/4 there now!
