Tina - I noticed the ticker similarities too! :)

About staying OP. I have found that when I am engrossed in a project and forget to eat (like you did with your closet), I DO have trouble staying OP for the rest of the day. If I allow myself to get too hungry, it is like something takes over my body and forces me to put food in it. I HAVE to snack every few hours or it just isn't pretty.

I finally learned this at age 50! I went years skipping breakfast and lunch and couldn't figure out how I got so fat

YUMMY!! Oh my, now you are making me crave Mimi's!!! That's awesome that they have all the nutritional info on their website. I am going to have to check that out. Glad you enjoyed the movie, I've heard it's really cute, haven't gone to see it yet though. Maybe tomorrow on my day off ;)

Happy day Red team!

It's great to see you girls again today, I hope you all have had a fabulous weekend. All this talk about cleaning closets makes me feel like I need to get my butt in gear and get mine done too! LOL Its like a bottomless pit and I'm afraid to see what's at the back of it. heehee

Nicole, its great to see you today. I hope you're having a wonderful day. Post when you can, we'll be here keeping a place warm for ya. ;)

Mom23BC, congrat's on the loss!! :woo:

Mel, so ya went and got a vaccuum, huh? Did you get the dyson? Well, I'm glad you had a good time last night, I was wondering where you got off to. LOL Guess you can say you used your flex points for the week? :D Oh well, back to it today and that's all that matters. I am scared to venture out to eat yet, I have enough trouble when I'm home! lol
Yay on the bagels! I love the onion ones...yummo. It's funny, any given day at work for lunchtime, you can always count on about 5 ladies or so having those bagles for sandwiches. LMK how you like.

Deb, :brr: not sure I would like where you live. lol I'm a wimp, what can I say? You've done awesome working that LAWL and I'm thrilled to hear you like it so much!

Tina, you go on and enjoy that sleep chicky. You are go go go all week, a girl needs her beauty rest! ;) How'd that bootcamp go for ya? I still need to do my workout for today, eek!

jlbake, good to hear you guys had a good time! I heard that movie was a cute one. Dh refused to see it, as well as my 2 older kids, so... will have to catch it on video soon. You did great with dinner too, love that they had nutrional stuff online!

I went grocery shopping today, and I found these 100 calorie Little Debbie brownies...they are SO TASTY, but I won't be buying them again because they are SO TINY and leave me wanting more, more, MORE! Ha!

In other news, had a good day today. Worked out for 50 minutes, ate pretty well, and am hoping for a good weigh in on Monday. :)

Cassie, did you make it to the BL thingy? I'm dying to know if I should bother to make arrangements to get the day off to go. lol Omg, all those 100 cal. products are yummy! I especially love the 100 cal. Keebler cookies...thing is, its a slippery slope with me so I have to tread very carefully around that stuff!

Hello all

Just popping in to say hi.

Melissa- thanks for your insight and suggestions on changing plans. I just hope I figure it out sooner than later. BTW you are so nice and inspiring, and a great team leader.

Tina- I wish I were like you and had that drive for exercise. I used to be like you and loved exercise. Keep it up girl! Hopefully I will start soon again too.

Counting Down- Wow you have done so well and lost so much weight. Have you always just used counting calories for losing weight? If so how do you figure out how much is the right amount for you.

Deb- It's freezing cold here to, with the wind shield it's below -20 something....brrrrrrrrr I hate winter in Canada!

Roni- Dress # 1 and the sandals are beautiful. Great choice! I actually do make-up and hair for brides here in Toronto. Starting to get a lot of emails and calls now for spring/ summer weddings!

Hi to everybody else!

Well have a great evening.

Mom23BC 01-20-2008 08:17 PM

Jlbake: My ds is 8, my ds is 5, my dd just turned one in Dec.

I hope everyone has a nice evening!

Hun.e.B 01-20-2008 08:22 PM

Good Afternoon everyone!! Oh what a lazy day. I went shopping with my oldest today. Our mall is having its annual sidewalk sale so we just had to check it out. By the time we got home I was exhausted so we went to take a nap! LOL! I tell you this frigid weather will get ya in that mood. Its gotta be below zero with that wind temp....see how it is on the packer game tonight...we've got that too! BRR!

So I did the best I could to enter what I splurged on last night, come to figure out my flex points for the week start on Saturday so like Danielle said I basically just used all of those! So I'm okay as long as i stick to the straight and narrow all week long. You just gotta love a plan that lets you do what I did and its still okay!

Sara...I know eventually you'll figure out the key and get that scale back to moving! Thanks so much for the kind comments. I really get so much from this group and you get back what you give.

Danielle....thats exactly why I didnt buy those new WW Bliss Bars yesterday. While they are REALLY good and only 1 point, I wonder if I'd stop at just 1. Best to just not! LOL! I didnt get the Dyson it was 3x what I spent on this one. But this one says it cleans better than the Dyson LOL! The Dysons were all sold out so I saw it as a sign.

Counting...I'm the same way as you, once that hunger hits I'm in trouble. And with me i can feel just fine and then all of a sudden I'm starved. They say to listen to your body but I'm thinking mine is sure how to communicate just yet LOL!

Jen...I actually love the cold and snow, can you believe that? LOL! The warmest I like it to get is springtime weather. Thanks for the compliments! You are right everything will even out!

Tina...ah forgetting to eat! LOL! Sounds to me like you are enjoying your long weekend to the fullest...good for you! My whole family is nightowls so I get my quiet "me" time if I get up early which puts me to bed early too. I hope you had a wonderful day! Made that goal right!?

Mom23BC....

Alright, time to go scare something up for dinner. I had planned on trying a new crockpot recipe I got at my meeting yesterday and completely forgot to start it before we hit the mall. So thats on menu for tomorrow. I'll have to post up the recipe. Have a lovely evening Red team!!

Hun.e.B 01-20-2008 08:24 PM

Dont forget Week 1 weigh in due Monday 11:59pm EST!!

There are also many many of our team that we've never heard from, if you get the chance please jump in and say hi! We'd love to get to know you!!

ksk571 01-20-2008 09:36 PM

Hello all!
I'm trying to stay on track this weekend. I don't do as well on the weekends and I have a 3 day one this week. My water intake has been terrible! I didn't exercise Fri or Sat due partly to a sore ankle and partly to a cold house. It wasn't near as cold as some of you ladies had (and exercised anyway.) It was about 15 degrees yesterday. ;) A little warmer today.

I did 30 minutes of cardio and 50 minutes of toning and stretching. I'm not going to do personals right now, but will say that I enjoyed all of the conversation the past few days.

One quick personal: Diva - LOVE the first dress and the flip flops are adorable!

Tina30 01-20-2008 10:01 PM

Good evening! Bubble baths are becoming a thing over here. I went to take a shower tonight, and thought...ahhh what the heck and made myself up a nice bath and read my Shape magazine;) Well I didn't do boot camp today, but I did do a pilates video that was 40 min. so yep Melissa I got my 5 days in this week:) I didn't want to do it today, but then I got an e-mail from my SIL, and she told me she walked 40 min. on her treadmill everyday this weekend, and that was all I needed to hear...that and the fact that I set a goal and I knew you all would keep up on me;) I need to get my eating back under control, but it's always easier during the week...like Karen it's harder for me on weekends...I think I just think weekends=fun=food!LOL! For real that is my problem food=everything for me...happy, sad, angry, every emotion and I turn to food. Have any of you found a way to deal with this? It is something that I still haven't figured out and I know I won't be 100% successful until I do. I don't know why it has to be so dang hard! I think just don't eat, but while I'm thinking that I'm grabbing something to put into my mouth. That is something I want to really focus on this challenge.

Melissa- How did your first meeting go? Did you like it? Let us know:)

Karen- I would take 15 degrees right now, it's that cold here, that when you go outside your nose instantly freezes.

God I've been chatty this weekend...LOL! Have a nice night ladies~

Hun.e.B 01-20-2008 11:07 PM

Tina....I did like the meeting, I felt like it was very rushed, and I didnt really understand everything that was going on. It was so busy LOTS of new people, so I think the center was just overwhelmed. But I love how diverse the group is. And because of an order problem I didnt get the usual materials you usually would get at your first meeting which I'm sure explains alot to clear up my confusions. I like it alot, got a couple of recipes off the boards. So far so good, thanks for asking! Way to go on meeting your goal!! YOu rock!!! What is the new goal for the week?

Karen...way to go on the exercise!!! Seriously Red team you all inspire me so much on getting that done! Tomorrow I promise you we are going to the gym!!

Shy Moment 01-20-2008 11:28 PM

Tina
Nice going. Sometimes it just takes knowing someone else is doing what we should be doing to get us moving.

ksk
Darn you have a heat wave, break out the bathing suits and i will be right over. Wish it were 15 here lol. So darn cold out there even the dwarf rabbit was knocking on the door and screaming " LET ME IN" lol. Get back on the wagon and you will be fine. We have a brand new week here and we can all do what we know we should do.

Hun
Sidewalk said heck. They could be selling diamonds 1 dollar per bushel and I wouldn't go out in this stuff lol. Those nuts at the game lol what crazy person is going to sit out in this weather. Not me no way no how. Sit in front of the fireplace lol.

Tina
Glad you got that cleaning done. I love to clean. I love to go room to room and find nothing to do lol.

Hun.e.B 01-20-2008 11:30 PM

LOL Rennie...if it were a bronco game I'd be out there! LOL! I had to go to the mall, I'm such a cheapskate this is the only time I shop! Plus my youngest's birthday is next weekend so I gotta take advantage....it was COOOLD!! So cold when I let the dog out she cant even bark to come in! LOL!

Shy Moment 01-20-2008 11:38 PM

Hun
My sons birthday, 21st, is next Wednesday. I told him if it doesn't warm up lol he will get a cake and present in the spring lol.

Hun.e.B 01-20-2008 11:53 PM

LOL!!! we are going ice skating for my dd's birthday, and I swear the skating rink is colder than it is outside! I'm hoping I can reserve a heated locker room. Although I promised her I'd get on skates this time so I'm sure I'll be sweating from the workout!

Cassie501107 01-20-2008 11:57 PM

*sigh*
I made a huge mistake today. I had decided that since tomorrow is WI day and I don't exercise on Sundays, I would really restrict my calories. IT BACKFIRED, because I found myself starving tonight and went on a BINGE.:(

And so now...I just have to wait until tomorrow and see what my damage is. Blah! My personal WI day is Tuesday, but for this challenge, I'm also weighing on Mondays. Ugh, I'm just so mad at myself. But! I gotta suck it up and learn from it. Hopefully I'll still have some kind of loss for the week.

:^::o

Hun.e.B 01-21-2008 12:06 AM

Cassie....its that hunger monster. It'll get you every time. I think the hardest thing for people to remember is that you HAVE to eat to lose weight. For more reasons just the fact that once you get hungry you set yourself up to binge. But our bodies have hormones that start working against you when you arent getting enough calories. Ghrelin tells you that you are hungry and leptin levels drop saying feed me! So when we think by limiting our calories we are helping, we really arent! But, right now there is nothing you can do to change the past except to learn from it and move on. You are doing so great Cassie, do not let one mistake derail you. Remember these feelings and learn from it. The scale is just a machine and tonight cannot erase the fact that you've lost over 71 lbs!!! Tomorrow is a new day and its going to be a great one!! Chin up!! Lets win this battle! I know you can do it!!

Thanks so much, I know that you're right, but for some silly reason I thought that I could hold strong for ONE DAY--Ha! Lesson learned, however...and yep, I've lost over 70lbs! No way am I turning back. ;)

Thanks again, I needed that.

Just wanted to pop in and say Happy Monday! :coffee:

 @ Melissa :D

Debalicious 01-21-2008 08:36 AM

Good Morning everyone! It's a COLD one here, nearly froze on the walk from the parking lot to my office. Brrrrr!

You were all a chatty bunch over the weekend, I will try to catch up on all of the posts, but if I don't get to it, just wanted to say way to go on all of the great losses posted on the WI thread. You are all so inspiring!

Overall I had a not so bad weekend, but learned one important lesson:

Vodka + not enough sleep = BAD workout

I went to the gym yesterday and had a really weak workout. I was complaining the whole way through. I guess I learned my lesson - my goal is more important than having late nights and drinks with the friends.

I talked to my WW leader on Saturday morning and we decided that the reason for me not having much of a loss this week (even though I stuck to my points) is that I might not be following all of the 8 Healthy Guidelines. So I reviewed them again over the weekend and will make a conscious effort to meet them everyday.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week!

Mom23BC 01-21-2008 09:13 AM

Just wanted to say good morning! I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Diva 01-21-2008 10:21 AM

Good morning Redster's & ex-teamies! Just wanted to pop in and say hello!!!!

Remember tonight is weigh-in 11:59 (EST) so all you other time zoners please get'em on time. :D Please remember not to round your numbers. If you weigh 201.3, post it exactly like that since we go by percentage and every little number counts. Also, Please don't make a new post in the Weigh in thread, just edit your original post.

I am actually down a couple more lbs since being attacked by the Burger King on Friday! LOL! 6.6 lbs lost altogehter since posting SW! WoooHoooo!

Hope the scales have gone down for al of you too! Well not more than the black team, hehe! ;)

Andi18 01-21-2008 10:33 AM

just coming in quick to wish everyone a good Monday! I am off from work today so it is better than normal ;)

I posted my weight, I didn't lose anymore over the night so I posted a 2 pound loss for the week.

I did make it to 24 Hour this morning for a 30 minute elliptical session! Felt good afterwords and may go back this evening for another 30 minutes to an hour depending on when the hubby gets home from work.

Now it's time to enjoy the day out with my son who is off from school today as well.

Tina30 01-21-2008 11:15 AM

Good morning ladies! Well it felt good to sleep in today, again!LOL! Today is Monday and the eating is going to get back on track today....no matter what! I am going to the gym sometime today, just not sure when yet. I still haven't had Kev post my pics yet, and he won't be able to tonight. I'll have to try it again. I haven't felt it outside yet, but it looks cold. Last night Kev and I watched 3 Dirty Sexy Money in a row...they were really good. I didn't realize how far behind we were. Now though there are no new ones coming up, I wish this writers strike would get resolved soon. That's about it for me though, not a whole heck of a lot happening.

Andi- Great job on getting to the gym this morning...enjoy the day with your son!

Roni- Great job on the loss girl...that is great!

Chellez- Hi right back at ya:)

Melissa- Good morning

Have a great day ladies~

Hun.e.B 01-21-2008 11:45 AM

Debalicious.....I had to laugh at your lesson, thats hilarious! But you still got a workout in thats pretty amazing! Way to go! I hope this coming week is even more successful for you!

mom23cb.... Good morning!!

Diva...woohoo!!! Congrats on a successful week! See even the king cant keep you down once you get that determination going! Excellent job!

Andi...congrats on that 2 lbs!!! that is excellent news! I hope you enjoy your day off!!

Tina...back to business today!! I love sleeping in, but this is my quiet time so I generally just get my butt up and out of bed. I'm with you on the writers strike, although because of it they are doing a Big Brother, which I LOVE in the summer so I suppose that is a good thing LOL! Have a wonderful day!

We must have lots of sleeping in going on today!! LOL! I hope everyone has a fantastic OP day! Be good to you! Remember your goals and let them guide you to success! We can do this Red team!!

Hun.e.B 01-21-2008 11:48 AM

Forgot to tell you! I've decided not to do 2 different weigh ins. So this week's weigh in for me is just the weight I was at my WW meeting. I think it'll make things easier. Stinks because that weight is with all my clothes on and after breakfast and my starting weight is not, but it'll all catch up in the end.

Dont forget to update your weigh in post!

cakses 01-21-2008 11:48 AM

Hi guys, sorry about my 1 pound gain. I worked my butt off this week at the gym and I ate alright, not 100% but my weight went up and down all week. I am hoping to see 199 by next weigh in though!

jlbake 01-21-2008 12:02 PM

Morning Everyone! I'm healthy again - YAY! I walked 3 miles this morning and I will try to do some weights this afternoon.

I had a great weekend. Had the girls afternoon on Sat. Sat in the jacuzzi with dh on Sat. night. It was wonderful. Yesterday was my mom's birthday party. Dinner was healthy and delicious and I could even fit cake into my calories. Everyone laughed at me for weighing my cake though! I also enjoyed an on-line reunion with my girlfriends from college.

So I'm on top of the world this morning! Now back to reality. My house fell apart last week while I was sick. I have sooo much cleaning to do.

I hope everyone has a great OP day today. I've been reading and enjoying all your posts. Thanks so much for sharing your lives with me.

Hun.e.B 01-21-2008 12:06 PM

cakses...no need to apologize! Scales are for fish and sometimes they dont do what we want them to. Next week will be fantastic! Just keep up the good work!! You can do this!

Jen...woohoo!! Love your energy today!! So great to hear that you are feeling well again!! Its gonna be a great week for you i can tell already!!

Hun.e.B 01-21-2008 12:09 PM

Where is my head today!!! I totally forgot our get to know you survey for Week 2:

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of?

2. What is your exercise goal for the week?

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be?

5. Who is your inspiration?

Have fun!!

skinnyvibes 01-21-2008 12:37 PM

Good morning ladies! Had a good day yesterday. but I did have some cake, it was my Aunt and Uncle's birthday. But I did good and had a small piece. Normally I would have just had a big piece and said oh well. So I am proud of myself for that.

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of? journaling every single day.

2. What is your exercise goal for the week? to get more in then I have been. Haven't exercised much at all.

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? where there is NO snow. :) (lived in Alaska 22 yrs, tired of the snow)

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? hmm that's a hard one, but would love to go to Australia, France and Italy

5. Who is your inspiration? All the ladies and men that I see who have weighed as much, close to, more then myself and made it to their goals, shows me that it can be done, and I just have to work at it.

Hun.e.B 01-21-2008 12:51 PM

Kari....excellent job with that cake moderation!!! My sister lives in Alaska!

Okay my answers:
1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of?
I am most proud of getting my PTA stuff organized!

2. What is your exercise goal for the week?3x this week, I'm starting Week 1 of C25K

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Right where I am! I love Montana although I'd like to be in the Flathead Valley

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? Hawaii, and I will go someday! But not till I'm skinny LOL!

5. Who is your inspiration? Corny as it may sound but my inspiration is the Red team! I'm inspired by the everyday heroes those people who get up every morning and no matter what they reach for their goals! Sticking to plan and getting in that exercise...thats what inspires me. It shows me that I can do it too, I just have to DO it!

Scenestealer 01-21-2008 12:56 PM

Cat, don't be sorry about a one pound gain! I find that my weight goes up and down quite a bit: if I'm up one pound for a week, I'm down two pounds the next. Water weight is so tricky! It sounds like you're doing well so just keep up the great work and you'll see that ticker go down soon!

Just want to say how much I love this thread - you all put a smile on my face when I get to hear about everyone's adventures :)

I'll answer the survey stuff when I get back to NYC tomorrow. Is it sad that I really miss my gym? :) The good news is, even without working out yesterday, I was only 50 cals over my goal for the day. Not bad especially since we were watching football and drinking! Just one day to go and I can REALLY get back on plan.

floann 01-21-2008 01:09 PM

Good morning to all. Feeling really good about the challenge. To date lost 6.6 pounds! Need to get up to speed on exercising, but doing really good on portion control and quality of food.

skinnyvibes 01-21-2008 01:21 PM

I forgot to metion that yesterday when we were at my aunt's house, my little cousin (7 yrs old) told me that I was getting skinny! That felt really good to hear her say that. Especially since it came from her. She's a very spoiled only child and usually if it doesn't concern her, she's not interested in it. So I must be making some good progress for her to notice! :)

OptimistK 01-21-2008 01:23 PM

This is TOM week for me so I'm up 2.2 pounds from my starting weight which means I actually lost b/c I usually put on between 4-5 pounds during TOM, I'm just not sure how much, though. And guesstimating isn't apart of the rules, oh well, it'll even out for the next weigh-in.

I need all of your opinion, I've being doing LA since last January and I am paid up until this March, either than the break I took right before Christmas I have been on plan and pretty faithful until I plateaued. I stayed there for so long 175 that I guess I just got discouraged and depressed and took a break and let go a little, which led me to 183. My question or what I would love is if you think that sometimes if you are on aplan does your body get so used to it that it needs a change? I don't eat the same thing everyday but I do stay on plan....I know I probably don't make any sense, I guess what I am asking is if you think I should explore different ways such as calorie counting or weight watchers. Has anyone been on a plan for a long time, done well than plateaued and switched to another plan and continues to excel and lose weight?

Well unfortunately I have to run, and I am sure there are plenty of spelling mistakes, so I do apologize.

By the way you guys rock, your post are truly inspiring.

See you all later hopefully...ciao!

What kind of exercise are you doing? You may just need to step that up a bit to get the weightloss going again. I think if you're eating healthy, but stuck that's the way to go.
