Despite my little slip up last night..I'm still down 3.5lbs this week! Yay! :carrot:

I weighed in on the WI thread.

Have a great day, and CONGRATS to all you losers this week!

Tina30 01-21-2008 02:32 PM

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of? I said I was going to exercise 5 days and I did...

2. What is your exercise goal for the week? This week I'm going for 5 days again, but I want to devote 2 of those days to cardio and strength training!

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? At the moment somewhere really really warm, and I would have to take my entire family with me:)

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? I love tropical areas...I think Hawaii is a big one for me though

5. Who is your inspiration? My inspiration, hummm. I would have to say my husband. He goes to work and works a very stressful job, and then he comes home and helps here with the kids and after dinner dishes. When I tell people all the stuff Kev does they look at me like I have 3 heads. With 3 kids though it's hard to get everything done, and without his help it would be really rough! Whenever I think I'm to tired to do this or that, I think of him and the hours he puts in and that pushes me. He is my everything! AWWW!

Laura- Missing the gym is a good sign...you'll be ready to go when you get back:)

Floann- Down 6.6 lbs girl that is awesome...keep up the hard work!

OptimistK- When TOM comes everyones weight is off, next week you'll have a killer number;)

Melissa- I think one weigh-in is a good idea, especially since it would be two different scales, that would just throw you off!

Kari- I had the same thing happen to me...my family was trying to shove food down my throat..saying your too skinny! I always threatened to get naked in front of them and show them that I wasn't going to float away:) LOL! What a great compliment though, and like you said coming from someone who usually wouldn't say something like that means a lot!

Jen- Ahhh your weekend sounded a lot more fun then mine. Soaking in the hot tub with your husband or cleaning closets...hmm!LOL! Glad you had a nice relaxing weekend. Great job on the walk this morning!

Cat- Don't worry about being up 1 lb. sometimes our bodies do what our bodies want to do.

Cathy- Hi...how are things going?

Tina30 01-21-2008 02:32 PM

Cassie- YAY for a 3.5 lb loss...that is fantastic!

Catsgetnhealthy 01-21-2008 02:41 PM

Where is my head today!!! I totally forgot our get to know you survey for Week 2:

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of?That I stayed OP, especially through the weekend.

2. What is your exercise goal for the week?To workout a minimum of 60 min a day/6 days this week. (I shoot for 90min a day split into 2 workouts am/pm)

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?Beerwah, Australia

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be?Australia

5. Who is your inspiration? My Red teammates. Reading what ya'll write inspires me.

TERAPET 01-21-2008 02:43 PM

I am thinking it might be a bit silly to still post a reply to this early entry but I didn't have time last week at work and my Internet at home was moving extremely slow. I did spend some time reading posts and am excited to part of the team

1. What do you prefer we call you? Terapet

2. What weightloss plan are you using? Right now I do two things. I limit the bad food in the house and I write down what I eat everyday. Unfortunately I tend to make poor food choices anyway.

3. What is your favorite exercise? I do a few things. I am a member of the Y and right now I attend one strength class, one Pilates class and one Zumba class each week. I also "run" on the treadmill for 30 minutes anywhere from once to three times a week. (the treadmill is only set at 4.5)

4. What is one area that you struggle? I drink too much alcohol, eat too many sweets and do not eat enough fruits and vegetables.

5. What is one area of your weightloss journey that you excel at? I guess exercise.

6. What is your short term goal? 10 pounds

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? Losing ten pounds would be a reward in itself.

8. Best weight loss tip. None really. I am not terribly successful with weight loss.

9. Bob or Jillian? I like them both.

10. Tell us about yourself! I work full time as a bookkeeper and have been married for 28 years.I have three children, ages 22, 20 and 17. The two boys are studying business in college and my daughter is a junior in high school who loves the saxophone. I enjoy reading, movies and do volunteer stuff for the band. This year is special because I turn 50! This would be a great time in my life to shed those bad eating habits.

Catsgetnhealthy 01-21-2008 02:54 PM

:carrot: I made it through 10 pages! I guess I better get here daily so I can keep up better!! The kids are off today, and have half days this week and then are off on Friday!! :dizzy: I tell ya after winter break they never go a full month until they come back from spring break in April til being out for Memorial day in May. They get out around 13 June or so.
I posted my WI, I"m basically a week ahead, I guess. Anyway, I noticed some AWESOME losses this week!! :bravo::cp: WTG LADIES!!:cp: I think we've done really great for our first week. :woohoo:
Well the oldest need the computer for some school reports he needs to get done. I"ll check in later tonight.
:grouphug:

That is awesome that she noticed and said something!! It makes it all the more excitable when it comes from someone (even if a kid) that you would never think would say it! congrats!!!!

Andi18 01-21-2008 03:04 PM

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of?
Went to 24 Hour Fitness and got myself a 30 day free pass!

2. What is your exercise goal for the week?
2 exercise 5 out of 7 days

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Somewhere warm! I lived in northwestern MN for 25 years and Nebraska for 4 years. I'm ready for warmth!

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be?
Already did the Jamaica thing (where my hubby and I got married and honeymooned). We do want to travel to Italy to see where his dad came from. I've also always dreamed of going to Australia.

5. Who is your inspiration?
Everyone that has stuck to plan and made it or is making it to their goal weight! You all have helped me to strive to continue to workout (even if we've only known each other a short time!).

Andi18 01-21-2008 03:06 PM

cakses ~ it happens. No need to apologize! I know it is aggravating to watch the weight fluctuate so much in a week. It's only the 1st weigh in, it will get better!

Andi18 01-21-2008 03:08 PM

Yeah Cassie! That is great! :cheer:

ksk571 01-21-2008 04:02 PM

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of? Not giving up and binging when I found out I had gained and got frustrated.

2. What is your exercise goal for the week? Getting up early every morning to exercise even if I have an exercise class in the evening.

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Someplace warm and close to a beach!

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? I love the beach. So Hawaii, the Caribbean, etc. I would love to find a beach that was semi-private and serene!

5. Who is your inspiration?
The RED team has been my inspiration and motivation this week. Thanks for holding me accountable and helping me stay on plan!

I took a peek at the weigh in thread. There are some great numbers. I noticed several that were at or very close to 10 pounds. Way to go to Idealmuse, Melissa73, and MsTeacher!

Mom23BC 01-21-2008 04:05 PM

. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of? That I stayed on plan for food.

2. What is your exercise goal for the week?
To go walking with my kids at least 5 times.

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Someplace warm. I really do love living in the good ol USA, though. I am torn between Tennessee or some Island where my front yard is the beach and not many neighbors. Can I just have my own Island???? Of course with a Wal-Mart. Just kidding.

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? I would love to go to Europe. Germany, Italy, ect.

5. Who is your inspiration? Good question with no answer.

Idealmuse 01-21-2008 04:34 PM

Hi Everyone! Had a great weigh in. SO happy to be MORE then halfway done now! Woot! I'm so close to weighing less then I have in 16 years.

My leg is getting better today I went for my first walk. I went 2 miles... I could still feel it tweek a bit when I walked up a speed bump or something, but It seems to be good for normal walking. Still sad not to be able to run yet... I'm definately going to have to start all over again when I can.

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of? Resting my leg instead of pushing it and trying to exercise anyway... and keeping my calories lower to compensate for no exercise.

2. What is your exercise goal for the week? Just being able to do a little something each day. I'm not going to push it this week. I did 2 miles today and might do the same tomorrow.

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? I don't think I've seen enough of the world to know. In the US it would probably somewhere in the Seattle area. Outside? Maybe England.

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? I'd be happy to go anywhere. We don't vacation much. Switzerland to ski, Hawaii for the beach, Europe... anywhere because I haven't.

5. Who is your inspiration? For weight loss: the maintainers on the 3FC board.

Tina30 01-21-2008 05:16 PM

It looks like we only have 5 people who still have to weigh-in...come on ladies let's get those weights in so we can see how we did:)

Tina30 01-21-2008 05:17 PM

Muse- Congrats on the loss this week girl!!! That is awesome! Half way there...ahh what a feeling:) You ROCK!

Tina30 01-21-2008 05:37 PM

YAY! I finally figured out how to download my pics:) It took me long enough!LOL!

Melissa - I have a sister in Alaska, too. (Anchorage) Have you been there to visit?

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of? Stayed 100% on plan all week.

2. What is your exercise goal for the week? I know it's not much, but I'm setting a goal of ONE day of exercise this week. I was up to 5 days a week, but totally stopped @ Christmas.

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? MN, it's where my WHOLE family lives, aside from my sister in Alaska & her family.

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? GUESS......MN! Family means more to me than anything.

5. Who is your inspiration? My 85 year old Grandmother! She's a fit, chipper, amazing Christian woman. She's the center of our family. Check out the picture of her and I at Christmas. Isn't she beautiful!

~Nicole

Tina30 01-21-2008 08:29 PM

Nicole- Your grandmother looks fantastic. My great-grandmother is going to be 84 in July and like yours she is amazing. She still does so much, drives, goes out with her friends, helps at the election polls, and helps at her church...I always tell her I only hope I can grow up to be half the women she is. I tell ya she could run circles around me:) LOL! It's really a blessing to have grandparents!

CountingDown 01-21-2008 08:58 PM

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of? Staying OP all week and exercising every day!

2. What is your exercise goal for the week? 5 hours

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Where I live now

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? I have so many vacation goals, I can't list just one! But an African safari tops my list.

5. Who is your inspiration? My DH. I always do so much better on my plan if he is willing to go along for the ride. He needed to lose a lot less weight than me, but he has been right there doing WATP and yoga and hiking and calorie restricting with me. He is the BEST!

jelynn 01-21-2008 09:06 PM

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of?
Week 2 of C25K and lost 4.5 lbs!

2. What is your exercise goal for the week?
5 days. 3 days "running", 1 WATP and 1 t-tapp workout.

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Gosh- I haven't been anywhere really so I have no idea. I do like where I live- just wish there was a better shopping, lol.

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be?
Somewhere warm!!! I would really not be picky at all as long as I could go this week :)

5. Who is your inspiration?
I have several different people that inspire me in different ways. I'll go with my kids though- I really want to be "that" mom who is active and fit and involved.

Catway8 01-21-2008 10:49 PM

Well the first thing I have to say is WOW!!!!!!! I had to read thru 13 pages to catch up to you's. Congrats on the great first week.

I didnt get to go get weighed again this week so my loss is from thursday. I got way to busy with work and family and its TOM and I didnt feel so well. I will take the 2 pounds loss tho.

After reading all of those pages I cant do a personal cause I am lost lol... Congrats everyone. Remember we can do this. ONE day at a time. I am in for 5 days of exercises. Have a good night everyone. I will post again tomorrow night.

Cathy in Canada.

Yellofly 01-21-2008 10:49 PM

Hi everyone! I haven't had much of a chance to be online this weekend, I was away from home. I really missed reading up about everyone's progress! You guys are doing so well! I can't believe the huge numbers I'm hearing about! You GO, girls! :carrot: (and guys, if there are any on the team. Are there any?)

Thought I'd fill in the "getting to know you" questions for this week. (I really like this idea! Great job, Melissa!)

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of?
I had breakfast buffet (my favourite kind of buffet in the world) and DID NOT have homefries or any kind of potato with my meal. Homefries usually account for 1/3 of my breakfast plate. See my committment to this team?!? (LOL) Also very proud that I still went to both aquafit classes with a pulled muscle. I couldn't drive myself there, but darn it, I could swim "legs-only"!

2. What is your exercise goal for the week?
To go to aquafit twice this week, even though I'm going to be renovating. (Painting the walls & putting in flooring.)

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
One house in Ontario, one house in Quebec.

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be?
Thailand or hawaii, or anywhere I could take awesome photographs.

5. Who is your inspiration?
All my teammates! Go RED!

-Yello.

Hun.e.B 01-21-2008 11:32 PM

Half an hour till deadline I hope everyone gets posted! I'm not going to be able to stay up and do totals I'll have to do it in the morning. Tomorrow is the beginning of my last semester of undergrad! Yay!!

Oh and one other thing before I go to bed...I did it I did it!!! I DID IT!!! I went to the gym and I did Week1 day1 of the C25K! I documented it on our Million Pound Matchup site so you can check that out to see the video! So exciting!!

But I'm tired now LOL! Stuck to my points even have some left over!

See you in the morning Red team!!

cakses 01-22-2008 12:21 AM

Hi everyone. I need to catch up still on this thread - I usually only check the site once in the morning and maybe once at night but I see I will have to do a mid afternoon check too to keep up with you all. I think that will keep me accountable as well. Or at least I hope so! Good luck this week!

1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of? I went all 5 days to the gym and I lifted heavier weights than the week before.

2. What is your exercise goal for the week? Same as last week - an hour a day 5 days, but am going to add in some evening walking as well.

3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? I love it here in WA but I'd rather live in Seattle, or closer in one of the suburbs.

4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? Spain

5. Who is your inspiration? My trainer inspires me to keep trying at each session.

Yeah I just updated it to Ft. Lewis because we moved on post in November. I never changed it - whoops! I love it here. Are you still in the Army, or did ya get out?

Shy Moment 01-22-2008 12:40 AM

Glad everyone is doing well. Dot started today so I am not feeling to well. Not use to not feeling well lol.

timkerbelle 01-22-2008 01:40 AM

Morning everyone. I haven't been around much the last couple of weeks, but I'm really hoping to get to know you all a bit better.
My first weigh in was a complete disaster. It's that time of month and I'm bloated like crazy. I feel really bad for bringing the team down, sorry ladies.
A question, if I lose weight next week, do I subtract from start weight, or the previous weeks weigh in?
Best of luck to you all, you are doing so great!

cakses 01-22-2008 03:37 AM

Phew! I just got done reading all the posts I missed. Some of you did really awesome last week!

Tomorrow is another day, so I am not going to focus on all the screwing up I did over the weekend. I ran two miles tonight to hopefully counteract some of the sweet and salty junk I ate...does this happen to anyone else? I get like this twice a month, once for TOM and then 2 weeks later when I ovulate. It's like having PMS twice. YUCK!!!!

I am going to add in a few extra cardio sessions this week to hopefully kick my own butt out of this plateau funk I have been at for a while. I can't wait to tell you guys when I am UNDER 200!!!

Cassie501107 01-22-2008 09:10 AM

We're the BIGGEST LOSERS this week! Congrats, fellow teammates!

:grouphug:

I'm tired and getting sick...ugh.

Diva 01-22-2008 09:18 AM

:congrat: Red Team on being the biggest Losers for week 1! Wooohoooo! :carrot:

Hun.e.B 01-22-2008 09:22 AM

Alright Red team, you heard it..we were the biggest losers this week! Yay us!! So on account of our victory our Question of the Day is...

Have you ever won anything before? Tell us about it!

Hun.e.B 01-22-2008 09:29 AM

Good Morning Red! I'm so excited that I'm not sore at all from running yesterday. I had to watch the video again this morning just to make it real. I cannot believe that I actually ran!! LOL! And I'm even happy about it! I love this Million Pound Matchup, it makes me document things so I have proof!

So here is my answer to today's QOTD: Yes I've won a few things. Nothing major though just little things here and there. I won $50 on a lottery ticket once. Last week I won the radio station trivia for tickets to a game. And in Junior High I won a place at the State Science Fair!

Off to start my day, first day of class then I've got a meeting with the principle at my oldest's school....I'm taking on the parent group *flex* LOL!

Have a great day Red team and congrats!!

spidermonkey78 01-22-2008 10:09 AM

Congrats Red Team!

Sorry to be out of the loop lately. My entire family has a nasty bug and I just cannot seem to shake it. It is very frustrating because I want to workout, but there is no way that is happening until I can breathe right again. I hope you are all well and stay OP this week. I am trying really hard to keep my calories right since I cannot get much exercise. I am still hoping for a loss this week.

ksk571 01-22-2008 10:17 AM

Way to go RED team!!!

Congratulations to Tamicka for being this week's biggest loser!

Good job to DK and Mom23BC on making it to Onederland!!

No, hubby got out and we left there in '99. His dad died suddenly in '97 and he came back here to take over the family business. He was a UH60 pilot with the medivac unit there.

Tina30 01-22-2008 10:29 AM

Good morning ladies! OMG we had an amazing loss as a team this week. I have to say I knew we did good, but I didn't realize it was going to be that good:) I'm so proud of all of us. I think as a team we are working well together so far. Way to start off the challenge! Let's keep it rolling and see if we can take week 2 also;) Great job everyone!

Tamicka- Great job girl...that was an awesome loss :)

Melissa- I was nosy and went and took a peek at your other site, and I want to tell you how proud I am off you. You felt like at times your lungs were going to explode, and I like how you kept saying "but they didn't" with a smile. You just looked so happy! I'm really proud of you girl! Keep it up!

Cassie- Get some rest, and hopefully you can fight off getting sick!

Rennie- Feel better hun...a nice heating pad and something warm to drink always helps me:)

Timkerbelle- Welcome

Have you ever won anything before? Tell us about it! Honestly I can't remember anything that I've ever won...I will have to think on it though and see.

Have a great day ladies...the kids go back to school today!!!YAY

chellez 01-22-2008 10:31 AM

I made a little banner that the Red Team can add to their signatures or their avatars. I didn't want to make it too big cause I don't want anyone getting in trouble!

Tina30 01-22-2008 10:32 AM

Good morning Cathy:)

ksk571 01-22-2008 10:38 AM

Hello All!
My usual official weigh in day is Monday. I weigh in at work because we have a doctor's scale here and it's more accurate and consistent than mine at home. Since yesterday was a holiday here and I wasn't at work, I did my challenge on Friday this week. I was up 1.5 pounds. Well, I went ahead and weighed this morning for my usual weigh in just to see how I'm doing. I was at 177.25! That weight marks my lowest weight in the past 2 years! :carrot: It is also below my bumper weight! 179 can still be my bumper weight as long as it bumps me down instead of up!! ;) This is also 3 days in a row that I have exercised when I got up in the morning. Already on track to meet my 2nd week goal!!

I hope Cassie, DK, Rennie and anyone else who isn't feeling well gets to feeling better very soon! While it's hard to go full force when you're sick, try to stay as close to on plan as possible!

Yello - sounds like photography is a hobby of yours. I would love to become better at taking pictures. I have been having problems with taking pictures in focus. I have a new camera and am not sure if that's the problem. I am a scrapbooker too so I take tons of pictures to try to get some good ones. My sister calls me my nephew's own paparazzi! :)

Melissa - Way to go on the exercise.

Cat - it's great that you are not letting a weekend of screwing up deter you! You can do it!

Timkerbell - we love to have you post whenever you get a chance. Melissa can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can just post your weight each week and they use excel to calculate the lost and %. It's a week to week competition until the end, so I believe if you want to indicate how many pounds you lost then you figure that week to week.

Take care everyone and have a great healthy day!
