Whew I'm so behind with everyone!!!

Danielle.....Cant remember if I said before CONGRATS on your loss!!! It just keeps moving in the right direction!!! I dunno that I would call Fat Smash low carb, now granted I've not read the book yet, I'm only going off what I've researched on the forum (which is a really good one) But, with especially during detox when all you really eat is fruit, veggies and legumes then the other being brown rice, oatmeal and yogurt thats a whole lotta carbs right there. I'm starting this morning, I was going to wait a day or 2 because I'm taking my mother out to lunch sometimes this week but I figure....why wait? I hope you had a great mothers day!!! You deserve the best!!

Erika.....WAY TO GO ON YOUR LOSS THIS WEEK!!!! That is such awesome news!!! Girl you are just shrinking away right before us! And excellent job on your 2 miles!!! Is the hubby back yet? Congrats on 10 lbs being gone!!!! That is so amazing!!! Do you realize that is a little more than 6% of yourself!!!!! You rock!!

Lindsey...sounds like you had a wonderful weekend between singing Karoake and the amazing day you planned for your daughter! I bet your mom felt like a queen all day long! That is so admirable!

Karen....what is it with Mother in laws?? I'm glad you've got a decent relationship with yours, there was a time in life when I thought the world of mine too...now I know the evil beeotch she is! And I'm not even exagerating! Pure evil to the bone! Back on track after those chips!! You can do it!!

Ann....dont you just love it when everyone sleeps in?! I know I do! So how'd you do with dinner? I'd be awful with the chinese buffet...I just love that stuff!!! I hope your Mothers day was amazing!!

Kathy...hello!!! and Welcome back from vaction. YOU LOST!!!! that is amazing!!! That is some serious dedication to yourself when you can lose on vacation!! Way to go!! I'm starting Fat Smash today! You'll have to share your helpful tips!

Amber...so good to see you back!!! And a new woman!!! How exciting for you! New hair, new clothes....12's and mediums!!! You are amazing!! And I'm so glad to see that you are feeling better!

Angie....I figure on those up down weeks the best thing you can do is maintain!! Back on track now, lets you and I make this a fantastic week!

Happy Monday everyone!

I had a great Mother's Day, but I ate too much! So, like many of you (Angie, Melissa, Karen) I also stayed the same. At least we didn't gain!

DH got me a beautiful necklace from dd for Mother's Day, I LOVE it! I think we are also going to pick out some flowers to plant and put on the back patio. We live in an apt., so we don't have a yard to plan flowers in

Ann, how was the art class exhibit? Good luck on your finals this week!!!

Danielle, WTG on the 1 lb. loss! It is great to have a loss when you feel bloated, etc. and are sure you are up on the scale! It helps keep us motivated!

Lindsey, your Karaoke night sounds like such fun! How did your mom like her presents and brunch? Those are such awesome gifts! I love giving gifts too and often go a bit overboard, but who cares! It is so much fun to get cool things for people!

Melissa, I agree with you about Super Size Me. I haven't actually seen the movie, but know enough about it. I also thought it was a bit unfair to "pick on" McDonald's, all fast food restaurants have unhealthy foods! I agree, it would have been more informative to see what one meal a day of fast food would do (or maybe 5 a week). This is much more realistic and in line with what the average person would do.

Kathy, I hope you enjoy your new FIRM workouts. I have the TransFIRMer system and really like it, though I haven't done it in a while. I really need to get back into it!

Amber, WOW, size 12s and medium shirts!!!! You are awesome! You definately deserved new clothes! I always feel so much better about myself when I am wearing clothes that actually fit! Sorry about the cup size though, just one of those unfortunate side effects of losing weight. But, given that everything else is smaller too, it really shouldn't be that big of a deal (my dh cares more than I do, hehe).

Well, I hope everyone is having a great day!

What I meant was lowER carb counts, and the fact that they are healthy carbs. The foods allowed on this plan are much of what people are eating who've reached maintainance stages on lower carb plans such as SB and minus the starchier veggies, even Atkins. Yes, a whole lot of carbs, but good ones nonetheless.

Shelby....So glad you had a lovely Mothers Day! But right back on that wagon making more progress! We can do it!!

Danielle...LOL...sometimes it helps if I read closer huh? My MSN messenger says I have email from you but msn wont let me open it, didnt want you to think I was ignoring it! How was your mothers day?

Well....so far today I've had a good day! Course its only 11am! LOL! So far I've had oatmeal and strawberries for breakfast, an apple...and then I got hungry! So I made myself a mock taco salad with lettuce, tomatoes, refried beans with a little taco seasoning mixed in and some salsa....SO GOOD! I figure the first few days I'm probably gonna be really hungry. Fat Smashers have any input on that?

Okay off to rearrange furniture! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Melissa, real quick...... when you get a chance and read thru the book for fat smash....

tell me what the deal is with the yogurt. I seem to recall him saying you could have yogurt w/out fruit on the bottom, but then in the list of allowed foods it just says "yogurt".... When I tried to go back thru the book I couldn't find where I'd read about it. I went ahead and got some plain and figured I'll just mix it with fresh fruit? There are many inconsistencies with the book and makes it confusing to a point.

Mothers day was interesting...I'll leave it at that!

Ladies have a great day! On my way out for a day of errands and then work all this evening!

Well not having read the book I cant verify for sure. But on the Fat Smash website someone asks that question and he says in the FAQs

What type of lowfat yogurt is permitted. Just plain or can you eat the brands that already contain fruit?

The best is plain, low-fat yogurt. You can slice in fresh fruit or add berries. If you really MUST have the yogurt that already contains the fruit, please do so sparingly.

Hi everyone,

I have had such a nice day. I bought my reward shoes (from last week's challenge)! I'm going to post a pic on my blog (see sig). Then I took myself out to lunch ... had a big spinach salad w/ portobellos and goat cheese, and sugared walnuts ... it was all Sonoma-friendly except the sugar on the walnuts, but I think I'll live

Kathy - WTG on your loss!!

Amber - WOO HOO Size 12! You're getting so tiny now! I'd trade in the D cup for that, personally ...

Melissa - Well done maintaining this week! How is your first day on Fat Smash? Looking forward to hearing about it!!

Angie - I feel you on the plateauing and going up and down. I've been through that so many times ... and I'm sure it will happen again soon ... well actually as soon as TOM comes back, grr! Keep at it ... the scale will move soon!!

Charity - Glad you had a good Mother's Day and I bet you will pick out some awesome plants for your balcony. I actually just bought a gardening book today ... I am hoping it will get me in the mood. I don't have much of a backyard (mostly deck, which is good for me because I'm naturally kind of a slob) but I do have a little patch of soil that I could do something nice with.

Danielle - Sounds like you are having a super busy day, hope it's a good one!!

Well ladies I'm off to Toronto again tomorrow for more voice lessons. All this work is coming to me now for some reason ... I think things are manifesting for me in some way! And I think you are all a part of that for me so THANK YOU RED TEAM!

cheers
Erika

Good morning Red Team!!

Great Job this week !!!!

I'm getting too prissy for my own good! I got up at 6 am but didn't leave for work until 8:30!!! (Only about an hour.. mb more.. was prissing) I'll have to post a picture of my cool new hair-do! ... if only I knew how!

Just wanted to say a big congratulations to our biggest loser! 707Goddess!!!
And to everyone who lost this week!!

I also wanted to congratulated those who maintained! Not gaining is also a victory worth celebrating!

And to those of you who gained (I'll be in that boat this week, I'm sure of it) a great big I know it sucks, we've all been there, but you're still here getting healthier and not quitting so that too deserves a little dance

Good morning everyone! WTG RED TEAM!!!! And we had some awesome losers this week ~ so congrats to everyone that lost!

Well, I think this week will not be good for me, I think TOM is on the way. So, that will make 3 crappy weigh ins in a row!!! BUT, that will be it, only losses from then on!

Erika, congrats on the new shoes, I LOVE shoes! I have been trying to find a new pair of black sandels (ones without too much of a heal so I can actually carry dd around while wearing them and not fear a major spill!), but I can't seem to find exactly what I want! I have looked everywhere! I guess I will just have to keep looking....

I hope everyone has a great day!

I'd love to see your cut, I was thinking of going out and getting mine done today too, but looks like I'm going to have a kiddo stay home. Excellent peptalk too btw!! Positive attitude...this week is going to be GREAT!!

Charity...darn TOM!! Just stay the course and keep making those great healthy choices, once TOM leaves you'll be that much ahead of the game! I hope you have a wonderful day too!!

I made a goof.....

I bought some Morning Star products and for whatever reason I thought one of the packages was a breakfast veggie sausage....Morning...breakfast...I dunno! But its not sausage its just a veggie burger...but really good! Not something I'd eat for breakfast usually but tasty none the less! Now if I can only find some veggie buns...LOL!!

I did so great yesterday with Fat Smash, not one cheat all day long! I had some hungry times of the day but I grabbed a piece of fruit of some cucumber slices and I was fine. Today I plan on toasting up some chickpeas so I have some crunchy snacks too thats what I was really craving last night.

Anyone taking their kids to see Shrek 3 this weekend? I think dh and I are more excited that the girls are to see it LOL!

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone!

I spent a half hour of my two hour and thirty minute morning on a run. Actually it was pretty rough. I don't know why some days I breeze through 4 miles like it's nothing and then other days, I feel like 2 miles is a horrible death march.

Charity - TOM is here for me too. I feel all blah. I am also on the look out for shoes. Something with little to no heel. IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. I've been looking for brown flats for ages. I'm 5'10. I don't need to wear heels everyday. I'm tall enough without them.
