Question -- Our reported weight before we started -- that's just "there" right? It's not counted towards anything. I hope not -- I had a horrible week and would hate to start off up!!

Shelby, the weight you first reported is your starting weight, it will be used to calculate how much you lose. So, it may actually help you that it is higher and you had a bad week, as when you next weigh in you will probably see a really big loss!
Good luck, and don't worry about what your starting weight was, focus on where you are going to be at the end of the challenge :) Let's go RED TEAM!!! :cheer: |
Hey Red Team!!!
Are you all interested in some mini challenges for our team to work on and help us to kick butt at the weigh ins??? Here are some suggestions: Exercise Challenges 1. "x" minutes of exercise a week 2. "x" sit-ups a day (like 50) 3. push-ups 4. mileage challenge (post mileage or convert minutes to miles) - we could go anywhere in the world! Eating/Nutrition Challenge 1. Water!! 64 oz. a day 2. Fruits and veggies (5 per day) 3. Staying on program (this would vary from person to person) At any rate, we could do any of these, or alternate them. We would start different threads for these challenges and everyone who wants to participate would check in those threads. Anyone interested? Do you have other suggestions? I've got an idea for a challenge too!
What participants would do is try to spell out RED WINS each day of the week. You get the letter for each step you do. Here is how we could spell it out R - Ready yourself (making a plan of attack for the day) E - exercise (even if its just 15 minutes) D - daily affirmations (look yourself in the mirror and say something nice) W - water (drink your daily goal) I - inspiration (either by inspiring someone else with a kind word or reading a success story N - try something NEW (either a new food, exercise, walking route..anything!) S - stretch (even 5 minutes in the morning makes a big difference in your day) Then we'd have to post up what we got each day for example say I didnt exercise or try something new I'd get RDWIS for the day. See how many red wins we can get for the week! Just an idea! ~melissa |

This is my first challenge and I am excited, but I'm a little nervous too.
Great ideas for the challenges. I have a lot of trouble with drinking my water :( , and I think a challenge would help me really make it a habit. In fact, I'm going to the fridge right now . . . |
