  • I am up for the challenge. DH is away so I am going to shoot for two a days. Also I am need to decide what my weigh in day is going to be. In the beginning I was only doing Monday and Friday. Now I am weighing everyday. It's driving me crazy. And I am less today than I was when I posted my weight. I could've been the biggest looser HEHEHE.

    Sorry I was MIA over the weekend. Trying to get DH ready for his trip and lots of running around. My eating was not so great. Not bad, cuz I made the best choices, but it could've been better. But all in all I mangaged to loose this week.

    Drumroll Please : I AM NOW DOWN A REMARKABLE 31LBS!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I am so proud of myself. I haven't been at this weight for about 12 years at least.

    I was watching celebrity fit club last night and i think i am going to go back to setting mini goals like they do. At least I will have something to shoot for. I am trying to hit 170 by the end of the month. I know I can do it, I just need to get on the ball.

    Glad to see everyone is doing well for the most part. I know there have been a few sickies around here and I hope you all are feeling better.

    Melissa, I am glad to see that FS is working for you. My cousin just called me and said that she and her mother are starting today. I've got several of my family members hooked as well. It really is a great plan.

    AmberD-How are things going? How is your renewed commitment. I'll be posting my menu this week as well as my exercise. how about you?

    Danielle-How are things going? Your avitar cracks me up everytime i see ol Bob.

    Erika-How are you feeeling? I am the person who gets sick and never looses weight, hopefully that's not the case for you.

    Well I know I've missed some, but I hope everyone has a great and healthy day.

  • I am soooo sore. Friday I went bowling (and that made my butt hurt!) and Saturday morning I ran a 5k (that made my legs hurt) and then between Saturday and Sunday I played 4 softball games in a company tournament (that made my abs and arms hurt! i suppose from swinging the bat!)

    I wish my eating had been as good as my activity, but alas..

    BUT I AM TIRED OF PLAYING WITH THESE STUPID 3 POUNDS!!!! I'm going to attack this weight like it's my job! I want to be somewhere in the 160's before my vacation! And that just is not going to happen if I don't shape up and stop dawdling!

    I'll probably repeat some of this over in the challenge thread, but I've made up a meal plan for the week. I will not stray from this plan. I am entering all my food into fit day (which I haven't done in ages) I will stay between 1400 and 1600 calories. I will fit in 30 minutes of exercise everyday. I will STOP eating desserts everyday. I don't need it. I have to stop drinking!! No more alcohol. Seriously. One glass of wine a week. That's it. No more until vacation!

    I am going for the title this week ladies !

    Amber, good for you for getting back your motivation! We need to help keep each other accountable over the next few weeks! I have really been straying lately and that time is OVER! I am back on track and am going to stay that way!!!

    Just wanted to say a quick hello before we go to buy paint for my bathroom (my son is going to paint it for me, yippee skippee!), then go see Shrek this afternoon.

    I am excited about the 5 for 5 challenge, it should be fun. Thanks for coming up with another great idea, Melissa.

    Erika and Karen, I hope you both recover quickly. It sure sucks being sick, especially in the summer.

  • Good Afternoon Red team!! How is everyone's day going? Meeting those goals? so far so good for me, just gotta get that exercise in and journal. I went grocery shopping and forgot my bananas and pineapple at the store! So now I gotta go back. Not too bad though because I cut into the watermelon and it is icky! So that needs to be returned anyway.

    Did I tell you all i was down 6.6 lbs so far! and thats with no exercise, just THINK what I could have done! Yes, I'm loving Fat Smash!

    Charity....right back on the wagon lady!! You can do this, I know you can! Cant wait to see the great results of all your hard work this week!!

    Love...not to worry about the weekend, it was a ghost town almost! But glad to see you back! And I'm really glad to see you all fired up to lose some lbs to add to those 31 LBS GONE!!! WOOOOHOOO!!!! that is such an awesome accomplishment!!! Keep up the great work lady, you inspire us all!!

    Amber....those 3 lbs got NOTHING on you!!! You can win that battle I have every confidence in you! You can do it!! You can wear that crown next Tuesday! You've got a great plan laid out!!!

    Thanks to all of you for the kind words. Charity when you say gone forever, it puts things in a whole new light for me. It is gone foever. I am not going to let myself gain that weight back. I know that I have been able to stay on course largely in part to the support I've recieved here. Thanks again!
  • Happy day girlfriends! I hope everyone is having an awesome start to their week!

    I have flubbed up on my diet big time the last couple days...what the heck is wrong with me! Why is it that the brain works all sorts of magic to "justify" cheating and then desserts me when I'm feeling guilty! lol So anyways, its back to trying again and staying the coarse and getting off my butt and working out. Somehow when I exercise I tend to eat LOTS better. I am headed home to moms at the end of this month for my little sis's graduation and not looking forward to the "little talks" my mother will have in store for me regarding my weight...on & on she'll go about how she "worries" about me, I'm such a pretty girl..blah blah blah... My dad on the other hand comes at it from another direction and asks me if I've been exercising lately. lol Gotta love my daddy!

    Melissa, WTG on the loss this week!!! FS definitely agrees with you! I am thrilled that you seem to have found something that you can live with. Bummer to hear you don't like the yocheese, but then again I never eat it plain. lol Hope you retrieved your groceries and got a new watermelon. Seriously, rain? I will trade you some sunny hot heat for the rain for awhile!

  • Love- My roommate had turbo jam and promptly returned it, but I don't think I've had any experience with Hip-Hop abs.

    Danielle- there is always today to do better! Don't let those naughty little desserts get the best of you. And once you figure out how to do that... could you let me know? That seems to be my biggest weakness lately

    Day 1 of recommitment was pretty neutral. I skipped my morning run yesterday and today. But honestly, I was exhausted and think the sleep was needed more than the exercise. But I have my gym bag with me here at work and I'll do something tonight.

    I had alcohol. BOOOOOO. I really need to cut that out. Suggestions? I'm not a get drunk drinker, I just like the taste and can't seem to shake my three drinks a week habit!

    My calories for the day were ~1800. Not bad. I'm going to try for lower today.

    I got my water in, but had two bites of BF's dessert last night. I figure two bites is better than the whole thing!

    On to Day 2~! I'm determined to make it better than Day 1!!
  • Good morning everyone! I am doing well! I am so happy to be back on track, plus today is my anniversary ~ 3 years DH and I are going out to lunch to celebrate. I will spluge a little, but I have a very light dinner planned (boca burger and veggies), so I can splurge a little at lunch and be ok.

    Ann, how did the painting go?

    Melissa, wow 6.6 lbs., Fat Smash is really working for you! WTG!

    Love, yes, gone forever! Thinking that way really helped me to get back on track lately. I don't want to gain back what I have lost, it is never coming back!

    Danielle, I totally understand about falling off the wagon! That was me for the last couple of weeks. But, now I am back on track and staying there. Amber and I are both recommitting this week - you should join us! We can help keep each other accountable! Also, my mom does the same thing (though less now that I have lost a lot of weight). Drives me nuts!

    Amber, I'm feeling great, how about you? I have already lost a little of the water weight I had, so that is nice. As for the alcohol, I say have it! Just plan for it. 3 drinks a week isn't a lot. You can easily plan that into your new lifestyle, especially if you choose lighter drinks with less calories. Of course, that is my 2 cents! My philosophy for losing weight is to not do anything I couldn't do for the rest of my life, but I know that everyone is different and different things work for different people. Good luck!!!

    I'm feeling good Charity! I could never give up my booze forever, so I guess the smartest thing is to work it into my life.

    So, Amber, Charity and Danielle ( if she wants) are all on the recommitment bandwagon. Anybody else want to join us?

    Melissa just went and kicked our butts this week in the challenge... so she is now the girl to beat Gotta love the friendly competitive spirit

    I gave you a little edge last night though...I did so great all day long and then blew it last night! Had a couple of rum & diet pepsi...bad! Leads to eating off plan....REALLY bad! AND I feel like crap today on top of it!!

    Back at it today though! Danielle...LOVE the avatar!! I heart Bob!!

    Okay gotta run the kiddo to school, I'll have to come back and do personals! Lets kick some Blue team butt Red!!!!
