Hi everyone! Loved the recliner stories!

We went to dh's retirees brunch and ordered my usual 2 small blueberry pancakes with ns syrup and 2 sl bacon (comes with 4 and I share with dh)

Stats for today
cals - 1403
carbs - 162 (net)
fat - 63H
chol -86
sodium- 1738
fiber- 21

Definitely need to work on lower my fat intake but my focus tends to be more on my carbs. I don't list protein because I seem to get plenty, often more than my goal but figure that's better than too little. I would like to have at least two meatless days a week however I don't eat a lot of meat. A lot of my protein comes from peanut butter (fat too!) and milk. So I see both bad and good there. NSV today - I could have had a small snack this evening but my bs has been high all day and still tonight so I decided not too. Want to see if my am bs will be better without it. So I got through the whole evening without a snack! yea!

Good morning girls. Today is weigh in day. I lost 1/2 lb. It's not much but last week I did lose 3.5 lbs so I'm sure my body is rebelling. That's ok. I'm more hard headed. I'll hold out. I know if I would exercise it would help but I have the exercise syndrome.
It's very beautiful today. 29 and sunny.
Youngest son ate supper with us last night. He said my supper was awesome. Dh has to go to the camp and take care of the water so the pump don't freeze.
Out if time. Gotta run.
Hugs

Well, not having a snack didn't really help my morning bs. It was not as high as yesterday but about what it has been most mornings lately. I am going for my mammogram this afternoon. Otherwise just puttering around the house and calling for needed tax forms.

We have decided to look for a new doctor. We have been with our current one for about 14 years and it is hard to make the break esp not knowing whether we will find anyone we like better, but we have become increasingly uncomfortable with him. It's a strange situation because we do like him in some ways and it is hard to explain. We have never changed doctors before like this ..always before there was a reason which required a change...like we moved or changed from managed care (Kaiser) to TriCare (Military). I don't really know how to go about it. You give so much personal info it is hard to give it out to one doctor after another in attempting to find someone. Anyone done this and have any advice? We think we'd like our next doctor to be near one of the hospitals so that has narrowed it down some but there are still a lot of doctors in the area. I have read about them, read the reviews (usually only 2 or 3) and even seen their pictures but still haven't decided. I wonder if I can tell the breast clinic to hold the report until I can find a doctor?

Cajun, congrats on losing the 1/2# ...losing weight is not easy, so every ounce lost is a good thing. Don't you love it when your kids enjoy your cooking! I love cooking for my oldest son esp because he is so appreciative!

May be back later with my eating stats. My weight is dropping very very slowly. Today I decreased the amt of pb in my mocha and increased the fiber a little more.

Congrats to everyone that dropped some weight, too busy to talk.

Glynne...you asked if I had any recipes for jello from scratch. I'm not a huge fan of jello, once in awhile is okay. I found a recipe for Luscious Parfaits right on the side of the Knox Gelatine package. You can also go to their web site for recipes. I made the recipe on the box using a package of strawberry kool-aid and it's very good.

Hi Everyone,

Got dug out from all the snow (12+ inches) & dressed up like an oompa loompa (12 degrees) and went to see American Hustle. It was OK - felt too long.

Drowning a little dealing with 2 classes.

Have a great evening,

Lynn

Brr we are cold here in the bluegrass state. Temp is 6 and windchill is -14.
I have been doing pretty good with eating. Yesterday was great till church. Yes I had a roll and a small slice of cake.

I have a couple of days left before turning 50. Hoping to really get focused next week.

Rosey...I feel for you, I really do. As you know, the title of Mr. Cranky Pants extends to my DH too. As someone said, it doesn't mean Dear Husband at times. I think my guy gets frustrated over how the present isn't the same as the past.
For example, we were married in the afternoon...but that morning was opening day of duck hunting. Yes, DH went ducking hunting on his wedding day. Now he doesn't hunt ducks anymore because we just don't have the ducks like we used to. Any ducks that do fly into his blind don't make it because of people shooting at them way, way out of range. Dorks!!!

Same with deer hunting, not many deer and too many amateurs out shooting with no respect for someone else's deer stand. He thinks everything should go as he plans and don't rock his boat. Typical A personality. If only he could learn to go with the flow, chill out!

I have to say our move into town was the best thing for both of us. We feed and watch so many critters out here. Our wild turkeys are at the feeder daily, up to 5 deer at a time dine here. Bruce buys alfalfa pellets for the deer and a bale of hay to munch on. I counted 20 cardinals one day, so pretty.
I've got to much to do today to yak on and on, Rosey's post set me off about men being so different then women. Sorry folks

I didn't get my calories counted again, so no posting my menu. I made a chicken casserole two days ago with Gnocchi pasta. It made a huge casserole and we ate two nights on it, still some left.
I get tired of all the casserole recipes that call for cream soups, they all have MSG in it. I did find a couple of recipes for homemade cream of chicken or mushroom soup but it's so time consuming when I want to throw something quick together.

K3...did you get your new recliners yet? Too bad DH didn't get a picture of you showing off your knickers.

gramie...enjoy your last days of being in the 40's. When's your birthday?

Lynn....12+ of snow, how fun. Do you own ski's or snowshoes? I love shoveling snow...I think I've lived in Minnesota too long.
Sorry but out of time, no more gabbing for me.

Miss Molly - you're just a BABY! Wait until you're our age and try to lose weight! Bah, I say, BAH! You're welcome in our group!

Nothing to report. I've spent the entire weekend reading, pretty much. My eyeballs are circling on their own, but I'm fat, happy, contented, and relaxed!

Hope your day is going well! Later, lovelies!
Thank you for the warm welcome, Jess. I FEEL old. I hope my metabolism holds up until I lose all of my weight. LOL!!!
