Another On Plan day. Total calories were 1655 and 60 minutes of weight training class at the Y. No special challenges today although tomorrow is FRIDAY. I am so weak on Fridays. I am going to try to save some calories for the evening, plan ahead and stick to it this time.

Marie-Did the predicted snowstorm arrive there? I read about the mess in the Seattle area. I used to live there a long time ago and I know what a challenge snow and ice can cause. Enjoy your day of rest.

Rie-I hope your stall ends soon also. You are so good.

maryea-Another good day! You are on a roll. Keep up the good work!

Tera. You are far from weak. You are going to kick the FAC and not screw up your plan. You're going to be strong and on Monday you are going to say, "I kicked a$$". Great job on having a great week with exercise and food. I know you can do it.

There were parts that got dumped with snow, even within a couple miles of my house. My house doesn't have any. I admit I'm not sad about that. I'm on track with the calories but I mis-spent 150 cals with tortilla chips. One whole serving. Oh well, I've been worse but I will be around 1500 cals when the day is through.

Lunch: romaine lettuce with a little ranch, two hardboiled eggs

Tera, I concur that you will be strong. Just try to stick to the plan and hang in there.

Marie, you are doing so well. Joining you on the exercise train over the weekend. I plan on exercising off my football snacks before I eat them ! Thanks for the encouragement about the last couple days. I feel like a whiner. Hoping to be a positive asset tomorrow.

Rie

Mary, you are staying right in your range. That is great.

I am waiting until I weigh 135 to start my exercise routine. on face value that may seem counterproductive but i tend to be very hard on myself when i exercise that in the recent past because of my extra body wieght I hurt myself. so I figure if I must go for the endorphin rush I need to weigh an amount that won't cause additional injury.
i will get on the scale friday morning. Wish me luck.

Rie, I love exercise off the football snacks before consuming the calories. Good plan. Me? I won't be watching football this weekend. I sort of want all the teams to lose so I will play instead. I have a month before NASCAR takes over Sundays in my house (DH watches). So I'm going to enjoy the no TV.

Lucinda, I understand your reasons for not exercising until you weigh less BUT what about just going for a walk? Something to get you moving.

Mary, 1592 isn't bad. I know it is more than you wanted to reach but you're not flailing in the 2500 range or anywhere close. You can build on the success that you are logging even though you're having more than you want.

I ended yesterday at 1348. I didn't Zumba as the time in the evening I wanted to play the PS3 I'd let the house get too warm. Yes, that is me - the always chilled one - saying it was too warm. It was 84 degrees and even I got warm. OK, I got comfy but knew I'd be a pool of sweat if I exercised. So I didn't. I'll make up for it tonight.

The scale was nice today. It gave me a 1.2 pound loss, another .2 I could have changed my ticker from 5 to 7 pounds lost. Sadly I put it from 5 to 6 pounds. Still very happy about it. I even tried weighing a second time to get that .2 and knew it wouldn't work. My scale never changes its mind. Hopefully tomorrow. And Mary, yes I did think of you when I tried the scale the second time.

Thanks for the encouragement girls. You guys are awesome. I ended up doing not so bad today. Last Friday was 2580 calories and this Friday I managed to keep it to 1830 (I think-I am not sure how much steak I consumed). Tomorrow I have a party with former marching band parents. Always something.

Marie-Congrats on dropping the 1.2 pounds. Nice.

Rie-I will be with you on Sunday watching football and eating snacks. Both my sons will be home for no. 2 sons' birthday and along with my husband, I will have a house full of fans. We'll just have to try to keep the damage to a minimum.

maryea-You are kind of quiet. Everything okay? I think your calorie count looks great.

lucinda-I am with Rie on the walking. Walking is great.

Hello friends!

Here is today's menu:

Breakfast: 1/2c fiber one, 1/2 unsweetened almond breeze, a little flax, one apple with pb2
Lunch: zucchini, onion and celery stir fried, one hard boiled egg
snack: wonderslim mocha smoothie in almond milk
Supper: chicken, broccoli, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and spaghetti squash
Evening Snack: chocolate pudding yogurt, 1/2c almond breeze with 2tbs whole flax seed and a sprinkle of ground flax.

1151 calories, 133 carbs, 48 fiber. 88 oz water I also did walkitout for 75 minutes today.

Lucinda, I think a little walking helps me to stay on plan. There is a good saying on here: use diet to lose weight and exercise to get healthy. I am a believer in the exercise, though.

Tera, you did great today! Congrats.

Marie, Yay on the loss! Could you talk to my scale? I am getting frustrated.

Mary, you are pretty quiet, here and other places. Are you ok?

Gotta go. Have a restful night.

Calories 1550 and carbs 230. I need to watch my carbs better...should be no more than 180 gms, 150 would be even better. My bs were so low with MF but now with regular food it's harder. Got back to the gym today and that should help.

Rie - Thanks for thinking of me...just been busy entering sweeps. This has been a good month for wins for me and when I start winning it gets addictive.

Marie - Congrats on the loss!

I was not so good today. I am going to guess 2500 calories. I had a lot of fun though. Tomorrow will probably be a problem also. I am trying to keep my portions small so maybe it is not as bad as I think.

maryea-Congrats on the sweepstake wins. Glad you are okay.

Rie-Good for you for getting the exercise in. You are doing all the right things. You can be proud of that at least. Darn scale.

I do walk. well i walk the dog. okay, you got me. I do need to exercise more.
last night I went to a party and I stayed on target, While everyone was boozing it up, i drank cool refreshing seltzer and just played along w/ the tipsy gals.
That is a big milestone for me b/c at heart I am a party girl.
I consumed 1000 calories total yesterday. Today i am going to repeat my achievement and stay with in range.

Good job Lucinda! I admire your resolve at the party. It is good you are walking the dog. Maybe you could start with walking the dog a little further each day.

maryea-Well, you and I were in the same boat yesterday. Oops.

I am posting this morning to try to get my mindset right for the day. I am not going to just eat whatever I want today just because it is a party. I am actually in complete control of the menu and everyone who will be present is on a diet. However, I know these people and I am quite aware they are very weak and will go off the diet in the name of fun in an instant. So sad! Well, I need to be the model of restraint and good sense. Right? Right!
