I haven't been to the gym in almost year. When I joined the gym in Sep 2004, one of the things I thought would keep me going was paying for it every month; well that didn't work - I paid but didn't go during 2005.
Now I'm ready (I think) to start this journey to a healther life again.
Because I want a succes right off the bat, I'll join this exercise thread but keep the goal on the low end.
For the month of Februay my goal will be 300 minutes (5 hours).

I went walking tonight in the local grocery store parking lot. There I was happily jogging up the up-hill part, proud as I could be of myself cuz I COULD jog, and the cop pulled in. He seemed to decide I wasn't dangerous (actually, after getting a closer look at me & the dog, I think he might have been ready to laugh at himself for even checking us out.) What is it about the stroke of midnight, when everyone else in the house is trying to sleep, that makes me want to go burn some calories??
Well, I did 10 minutes of my "Dance away the inches" dvd this morning. Not too much, I know, but it got my heart rate up, and I'm still building up my stamina! hehe...Also last night, I had class at the main campus, and we had to park way on the other side of the parking lot, so we huffed and puffed it 5 minutes each way. So anyhow, that brings MY total up to 33 minutes and the group total: 408+90(Luan's time)+20=518

40 mins treadmill in morning and 30 mins exercise bike in afternoon. Also walked around oval with kids for almost 10 mins, but won't count it as it was just under the 10 min mark and I want to make that my incentive to do extra laps next time. The kids are only little and were very tired earlier than I thought, so I cut the time short. We should be up to at least 10 mins soon, so I'll be able to add them then.
Well I started out last month Gung-Ho and fizzled out around the end. Hopefully this month will be better. I'm setting the same goal 600 minutes and this month I'm going to follow through and make it.
Although yesterday wasn't a model day. I was late getting off work, therfore I was late to my WA class. I only got in 50 minutes instead of 60. I am going to try to go to another class tonight. It depends on how work goes. The classes start at 5:30 and I don't officially get off work until then, but sometimes I can leave early. But it just depends on what's going on at work. Cross you fingers for me that I can make it.
Well, I worked out again today! I did:
10 minutes of my "dance away the inches" dvd
5 minutes of treadmill on the "fat burn" speed
1 minute on the warm up speed...to actually cool down.
So another 16 minutes for me today, which brings me for 26 minutes for the day!
