GatorGirl6 - FYI, I think you might have posted your weight in my line on the spreadsheet. I changed mine, but didn't touch yours, just in case I wasn't right. We ARE close to the same weight!

Initially I was so bummed about only being down 1.2lbs this week but I had to remember that I building a lot of good muscle along the way. I must be patient. Just happy to be losing I guess.

Hi everyone. I've just come off the halloween challenge with a 2lb gain. Can I join this one? No way I'm going to lose 30lb in 2 months but I'll do my best!

Ah! I'm so sorry! lol. I saw last weeks weight near where I should be in the spreadsheet and went too quickly. We are very close in weights. Sorry about that. I will actually time time to read next time.

Thanks

I dont know if I will get the 30 by the end of the year. Right now I am averaging 2lbs each week; I may be able to get 20. We shall see...I am not quitting though!!! This is a good challenge

I've finished up this Month (as of this morning) for a total loss of 50 lbs. I'm incredibly excited to be at the first 50 lb mark!

Great job!!! I'm looking forward to be hitting my 50lb mark by the end of this challenge.

I was 0.4lbs away from my goal for the month, but I'll take that.

Unfortunately, I'm now in the zone of "lowest weight I've been able to achieve". I'm pretty nervous. I can't seem to get below the upper 180s (that's what I weighed in high school), and I think I have some weird mental block about it. Has anyone else gone through that before & gotten past it?

Hey Astronaut - thought it was funny you posted this, I was just thinking something along the same lines for me and 180. I have been 180 most of my life. I was 160 in college but it barely lasted a semester. I dropped the first 45 pounds pretty quickly and have been waffling between 175-185 for a year now. It just seems to suddenly get a lot harder - whereas before I could take the occasional day off, go out for drinks with coworkers, and not have it be a huge setback, it seems like every time I do this now I hit a huge RESET button and the next morning I'm back at 180. Ug.

In the past week I've been pretty good - had ONE meal that I wasn't sure about calorie count and it was just a house salad with Italian dressing. And I've just now edged down to 177.4 which is .2 pounds lower than last week. This is eating about ~1400 calories a day.

I'm determined to get down to 170... I really feel once I can start seeing the difference it will help motivate me long-term as well. I used to feel proud of 180, but I've been here so long now I'm used to it and just feel fat again.

So yes it definitely happens! And I think we can get through it, but it's going to take some digging in of our heels. :/

Hello ladies! Just checking in. Having a slow week and hopping by Monday I see at least one pound drop! My weight losing has slowed down and I don't know why. My eating has not changed and and working out is still the same.

Oh we'll, if I lose something I am happen. Something is better then nothing!

How is the weekend going for you ladies?

Wil check back later; headed to the gym now...trying to make up the days of i lost with the storm.

There used to be a thread about the 180's mental block If you look at my signature you'll see how well I was doing up until the 180's, then once I got there... Well, all you have to do is take a look at my progress in October with the challenge. But I've decided that this month will be the month that I will turn my mind off and just do it. Do everything I need to do to get out of the 180's without thinking about anything. I know I will need to be strict with my eating habbits (not dieting but not giving into my cravings frequently) and I know I'll need to stay on track with my workouts if I want to make it happen.

Hopefully this will the the month that we get past our barriers!

I don't know how busy your day or week is;however, try prune juice to get the digestive system working. I have been drinking prune juice for 3 days and the scale has moved.. I am now 206. Some food does not want to leave the body and it just sits there holding us down.
