I'm still messing with inches instead of scales, and I'm still at a 36 inch waist this morning after the long weekend. Just glad there was no increase, so I'll be greatful.

Woohoo! 218.6! So glad to be out of the 220s! 200s here I come!

This looks like the place for me :D

Hi everyone, my name is Brittany and I'm 23 years old. My current weight is 230 and I just started my weight loss journey as of June 1st. I hope to get to know all of you better! I've been registered since December and I have posted before but I've never stuck to my plans..this time I am going to do it though!!

zanheltangia 06-03-2010 07:18 AM

Hiya Britt! Cute puppy by the way, and welcome!

:welcome3:

StuffedBunny 06-03-2010 10:39 AM

My bf's mom is coming to town at the end of next month which makes me nervous!!! I've gained like 25-30 pounds since I last saw her. Yikes! If I can just get under 200 before she comes out....

zanheltangia 06-04-2010 10:03 AM

Aw, don't be nervous, StuffedBunny,

Happy Friday everyone. Any one have plans for the weekend?
I'll be celebrating my brother and sister's Bday (today) Saturday night, this will probably get interesting knowing those two,

Bella3 06-04-2010 10:06 AM

Thanks for the welcome zanheltangia. What's your real name if you don't mind me asking :)

Brittany

zanheltangia 06-04-2010 10:10 AM

I usually go by Zan.

Brittany - WELCOME!
You're puppy is ADORABLE!
I love those dogs :D

Stuffed - You are gorgeous and I bet it will be amazing and you will have tons of fun and she won't care in the least! Rock it like a hurricane!

Zan - CONGRATS!!!! That's so exciting! Good for you! :D

zanheltangia 06-04-2010 10:12 AM

The 220s stretched on for too long in my opinion, Mittens, :D, thanks!

Bella3 06-04-2010 10:30 AM

I will just call you Zan then :D It will be easier to remember :p

Oh and thanks for the comments on my puppy in my avatar. Her name is Bella (hence my screen name). It means Beautiful in Italian :D She is a wolf hybrid mixed with husky.

Angry Mittens 06-04-2010 12:48 PM

OH MY GOSH!!!
I have always wanted a wolfxhusky cross. They are absolutely gorgeous.
My husband and I are in the constant debate that he wants a great dane, and I want wolfxhusky. I think perseverence will one day win out and I will get a gorgeous blue-eyed puppy! :D

Linnerz 06-04-2010 01:23 PM

The 200's started to creep up on my scale about a year ago, and I'm ready to get rid of that darn 2 and NEVER see it again!!

zanheltangia 06-04-2010 02:42 PM

Who knows Mittens, maybe you'll end up with one of each (one puppy would be lonely if left all by his/her lonesome right ;)) :p

:welcome: Linnerz! Well fight our way to Onderland (and beyond) together!

Well just make sure you do your homework on both breeds before you decide on one (or both).

Wolf hybrids are alot of work. They are amazing escape artist and you need to make sure they have plenty of space to run and/or you can take them out to exercise daily. We live in an apartment right now and Bella is taken out for a good long run/jog daily. We also play with her throughout the day throwing a ball, etc. They have an amazing (sometimes never ending) amount of energy. She is about to turn 4 years old but she is still a puppy. Wolf hybrids don't mature into 'adults' until they are around 5 years old, unlike regular dogs that mature at around 2 years of age. She is starting to mellow out a bit but she has a long way to go.

I was raised around great danes. They are great companion dogs, all they want to do is lay around and soak up the attention. I would personally never get a great dane for myself because they seem to attach themselves to one person and then follow that person around 24/7 and are always in the way because of their size. All the great danes I have seen have separation anxiety to their owner too and get really spastic if their owner leaves them alone.

This is only my opinion based off of my personal experiences though. Like I said, do your homework and figure out which breed of dog will work for you :)
