I'm new to this thread at about 240 pounds and I would *really* love it, be ecstatic, to put a "1" in front of my weight! I don't set timed goals usually, but onederland by my 21st birthday would be a great present :)

LOL at that cartoon; I do exactly that(minus the man)

Can I join you in this goal?

My birthday is in the very beginning of august, so I don't know if I will make it, but I am sure willing to give it a try. Being in the one hundreds for my 21st birth day would be the best gift I could get right now ^_^.

I am definitely with you on that Ubercast! I spent a long two months in the 220-range,

 A wake up call from the month and a half each the other two decades took!

Now I am just hoping that I can hop out of the 200s before the end of September!

girlonfire 06-10-2010 04:03 PM

Hellz yeah you can(am I allowed to say that here?)!! I am about 243-244 and my birthday is in November, so it seems *kind* of reasonable! You'll have those pounds off in no time, I can feel it! Although I am jealous you turn 21 before me lol

243.6 this morning, WITHOUT dropping some kids off at the pool. Sorry, I am super TMI and will continue to be TMI

chavela 06-11-2010 12:13 AM

so i weighed myself today after a week of careful eating and going to the gym and zip D:

but my consultant said that since i'm starting a lifting regimen then my muscles are retaining water. i have nooo idea what that means ;(

girlonfire 06-11-2010 12:29 PM

I think what she means is that when you start lifting weights, your muscles tear and repair themselves and they need water to do that, so your body holds onto extra water. But I am not entirely positive; I'm sure Meg(I think it's Meg) in the exercise thread can help ya out better :)

I weighed in at 243.2 this morning, which is almost FIVE POUNDS lost in one week. I have *never* lost that much in a week and even though it's mostly water weight, it still feels pretty d*mn good!

zanheltangia 06-11-2010 12:44 PM

Yeah, you will retain water and make sure you are drinking a lot of water too!
Very important. It's awesome that you are lifting weights, that muscle will help burn more calories. Since you are just starting out, it will take some time, but keep up the hard work, it will definitely pay off!
Maintaining is great after such a big change.
Don't worry Chavela, give it time.

You gals make me feel old, as I am turning 25 in October

Rtsmme4life 06-11-2010 02:01 PM

Ok now I feel OLD! I turned 26 back in March!! Ahhhhhhhh! :dizzy:

You should feel good that's awesome!

chavela 06-11-2010 05:53 PM

thanks ladies!!! that made me feel better. i plan on incorporating weight training since i hear that helps prevent saggy skin when you start losing (at least i hope so D= ) and a bunch of cardio and other fun stuff. i get bored easily, so i'm going to take classes at my gym like kickboxing and other stuff.

i should work on a workout powermix playlist, haha.

Rtsmme4life 06-12-2010 10:52 AM

Hope everyone has a great day...guess I will be skipping the workout today :( I woke up with a killer sore throat and all over blah feeling. I will be spending the whole day and night at activites then actual graduation for my sis in laws high school graduation. What a bad day for me to wake up sick....wish me luck! ( I think staying awake for the day is enough of a workout for me today lol)

Blah

I feel like I was doing so good working out everyday and eating right then BOOM I get hit by a horrible sinus/ear infection :( I an now on day 2 of not working out bc I feel awful (and guilty). I hope I feel better so I can get back on track sometime soon bc I dont want to gain any weight back. :(

girlonfire 06-13-2010 01:13 PM

Taking care of your health is the most important thing! and get better!

No idea what my weight is right now, but I am hoping around 243 or 242. I hopped on the scale at my gym and it gave me 250 :o. Guess that is what I get for weighing in the middle of the day.

zanheltangia 06-14-2010 11:33 AM

As long as you stay OP food wise and get yourself healthy again RTS, it should be fine and you shouldn't fall off track! You can pick up the exercise again once the infection clears and you feel up for it again.

Hey guys, Happy Monday ;).
