Woohoo Nagazim! Awesome job!

Good luck on the plank, Mela. I don't think I could do it!

I am finding it so difficult to stay motivated. I start every day out good and most days, I've screwed it all up by the end. I wish I had something positive to report... but no. Maybe next time.

WELCOME! Can't wait to see your progress in this group!

I'm having a tough week...totally sabatoging my efforts over the last few weeks and it's making me really frustrated. Still, I've kept up with my plank challenge. After starting at 20 seconds a couple weeks ago I'm up to a 2 minute elbow plank!!! I can't believe I've made it this far and I don't know how much more I can do. I've got a ton of bodyweight to support, but I'm impressed with myself and I plan to make plank a part of my regular life whether I ever make it up to a 5 minute plank or not! But food...oh the food is so bad this week...and the scale is retaliating because of it.

I never saw this thread before. I was missing out on all the fun! LOL

I hit 259 today. It's my first venture into the land of the 250's in 8 years. Really depressing when I think about it. LOL But I'm very excited to be here and to continue on with my loss.

Congratulations Izzyboo!! That's great!! I know what you mean Mela. I did great this week until tonight. We were at the hospital all day for my Mom's surgery and had only eaten a healthy small snack. When we were on our way home we stopped to eat at Dairy Queen. I came in under my calorie limit (barely lol) and had a salad, but ate a mini blizzard as well. Now my stomach is revolting. I can't seem tolerate the foods I used too anymore. Mores the pity. LOL

So good to see you in here Jesslan Rose! It looks like you must have had an amazing journey so far. I'd love to hear about it!

I forgot to weigh in today but I'm assuming I didn't do too hot last week. I'm hoping to improve this week.

I've decided not to proceed with the plank challenge. If, at 260-some pounds I can maintain the ability to hold plank for 2 minutes, then I'm already seeing the core strengthening benefits enough to my satisfaction. But now I should work on legs as well. Perhaps I'll start a squat challenge. I know I should be doing HIIT but I'm just not there right now.

Totally sabotaged myself and went up to 264. Back to 260.6 today. I've gotta get control of myself. I feel so gross.

Glad to see so many people here We can do it!

Thank you for the welcome Mela!

I was doing so great and even made it down to 258, but then (TMI, I know) was constipated for 6 days and we all know what that does. I'm back down to 260 today, so hopefully will be back to my lowest soon. Though doubtfully before Friday's weigh in. Boohoo LOL

Hello Jesslan Rose! Welcome.

Sorry about your bounce Nagazim. I have been bouncing around too. It's so depressing. I'd like to blame it on this time of year, but that's pretty silly too.

Mela, I don't blame you for dropping the plank. I have been trying to do this "Jorge Cruise Get Fit in 8 Minutes a Day" strength training thing. It won't let me post a link, but it's an article on Prevention. You should be able to find it fairly easily with a search if you're interested!

I have finished my second day in a row under my calorie budget. Going to take a lot more to budge the scale though... we can do it!

You guys...I've pretty much gone off the rails. I don't know if it's because I'm just not getting enough sleep or because I'm tempted by so many tasty things this time of year but I've lost all accountability. I think this weekend will be a good time to buy some healthy groceries and cook some good meals...because another 3 weeks like this will have me bigger than ever heading into 2015!! Hope you're all being stronger than I am!

I had an awful day today. My fat girl mentality is pressuring me to give up and start fresh after the 1st, but I know that is the wrong thing to do :/ I had a Dr appointment today. He suggested carb cycling. I looked up the book. Maybe I'll look into that a bit more.

On the positive side, I have 4 consecutive days of starting with 30 minutes of exercise. Doesn't make up for what I've eaten... but still. It's something right?

Mela - Sorry you're having such a rough time. Christmas just seems to have so much food around it. Avoiding temptation is rough.

PlaidCaterpillar - Four days of exercise is pretty great!

As for my weigh in today I managed to make it back down to 259. So one more pound to go before I'm back at my lowest point. I'm really happy about that.

Great job, Jesslan!

I exercised again Friday for 5 days in a row. Woohoo! Though I think it probably doesn't count for much because I went over again.

Is it too nosy to ask what everyone's method is? Calorie counting, Weight Watchers, Low Carb... I'm curious since I stink at what I'm doing... which is calorie counting.
