Woot Faye!! Can't wait to see you in the next thread!

foreverfaye 03-08-2013 12:39 PM

Thanks Charliee, Fadedbluejeans!!!
I just noticed that you are coming up on a huge milestone. 2 lbs away from 50 lbs!!! That is so exciting.

charliee 03-08-2013 05:54 PM

I know!! It's hard to believe.

I joined this site in May of 2011 after my clothes stopped fitting properly. I've always dressed kinda baggy, but when my jeans started cutting off my circulation, I knew I had a problem.

Stepping on that scale and seeing 286 was a real low point for me. Luckily I found this site and over the next few months I dropped down to 255. But then I stopped exercising, and stopped being diligent with watching what I was eating. Between then (about August 2011) and Jan 2013 I basically went up and down about 10 pounds till finally I decided to get this weight off for good.

Over the last 7 weeks I've lost 22 pounds and while my first goal is really to get under 200, being able to say I've dropped 50 pounds is going to feel amazing!

A good scale day . . .

I am having a woot woot day!

Got to the gym and weighed myself on the only scale I trust. Getting so close to the 230s I just can't stand it! I did a little victory dance going out the door to my car. I think a bunch of us are going to swing over to the 230s thread soon. We can do it!
fadedbluejeans - If you find the cauliflower pizza crust recipe, pass it on! I love cauliflower in any dish.
mnemosyne Congrats on the 240!
charliee Fifty pounds is such an amazing achievement! Inspiring to me.:D

I'm not looking for a quick fix to my weight and health issues but it IS so gratifying to see that darn scale move!!!

Happy Saturday to everyone!

adalis 03-09-2013 08:00 PM

just had my weigh in today and came in at 249.9 so hello everyone !!!!!!

MissKoo 03-10-2013 02:22 PM

Adalis, welcome! You sure have come a long way to get here!!

Does anyone else have a hard time springing forward? I reset all my clocks but my inner clock is not buyin' it one bit. I usually get up at 5:30 on weekdays and, no matter what the clock reads, my body will KNOW it is 4:30! Ugh.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday!

foreverfaye 03-10-2013 02:30 PM

:welcome2:Adalis!!!
MissKoo, glad to hear about the scale!!!
It's Day 3 of Week 2 and I haven't gone to the gym yet and have not been sticking 100% to the food plan. I had an emotional eating moment yesterday. The bright side to this is that it was just a moment not an all day binge like I used to do in the past.
Here's to getting out of 240ville this week!!!

I'm not sure I can post links yet, but if it doesn't hyperlink, at least you have the url to copy and paste. I didn't make the Hawaiian topped version, just the crust and my own toppings.

mnemosyne 03-12-2013 09:55 AM

Congrats Faye - you're doing so well. Remember it's not about yesterday but right now, and tomorrow too. I'm glad your emotional eating moment was just a moment. I have those too, it's more about getting back on the horse, so to speak, and keeping up your momemtum.

MissKoo - I know I've seen that recipe here on 3FC, too. There was a discussion about it in the food forum, though I see fadedbluejeans found it for you!

I love cauliflower too. I made colcannon this weekend by using half potatoes, and half cauliflower, mashed with buttermilk instead of milk, then added the cabbage. It is REALLY good. Better than mashed potatoes, and the combination of the potatoes and cauliflower is really nice. Plus it isn't unexpected since you expect colcannon to have that cabbage-y cauliflower-y flavor to it.

Oh, and I have a terrible time with daylight savings time. I was cranky and TIRED all weekend. Got enough sleep last night but had a hard time getting up to work out because it was dark outside.

Congrats Adalis! Welcome! How exciting.

I weighed in at 239 today, finally! I will make sure it is not a fluke before moving onward, though. :)

fadedbluejeans 03-12-2013 10:33 AM

Good for you mnemosyne!

Monday is my designated "official" weigh-in day even though I tend to step on the scale every morning. But today it went down a bit so I'm updating my ticker again, lol.

foreverfaye 03-12-2013 05:29 PM

Thanks mnemosyne. Congrats on making it to the 230s!
So I did a peek-a-boo weigh in and the scale has not budged. Only 3 more days of the week left. I'm hoping for a whoosh on Friday but till then I'm tracking, gymming and drinking my H2O.

foreverfaye 03-13-2013 09:20 PM

We're kinda quiet today. Hope everyone's doing well. No gym today but I stayed in my cal range and have drank 32oz of my 50oz H2O. Last chance workout tomorrow: 1 hour spin, 1 hour zumba. If the scale still doesn't budge, I don't know what I'll do :cry::cry:
Just kidding. :D I'm going to shake it off, congratulate myself on a wonderful week 2 and keep moving forward. My health, my worth is so much more than a number on a machine.

That is the spirit, faye! A slow-down is a temporary blip, but we are so focused on the number. (Me too, after all this time.) I have faith that you'll see more of a loss, but women's bodies especially fluctuate for all sorts of reasons that have nothing to do with fat. Keep going!

jenicra 03-14-2013 01:51 PM

Hi there, I'm joining y'all after a nearly 20-lb. regain, from which I'm down over 8 pounds already (obviously, a lot of water weight). Working to keep the scale moving backwards. 248.6 this morning.

foreverfaye 03-14-2013 02:00 PM

Mnemosyne, Thanks!
Jenicra
, I was back here after a 12 lb regain and I'm itching to get out of 240ville. Hope you have a short and sweet stay.
