I'm down 2.6 for the week to 242.0

Next week in the 230s would be great, of course, but I'm definitely hoping by Valentine's Day.

charliee 02-03-2013 12:25 PM

Nice work April Snow! I'm positive you'll make it before Valentine's Day.
If I can get there by the first week of march, I'll be a happy camper.

Congrats to everyone on their losses.

Tziri 02-03-2013 12:55 PM

241.6 today. So close to the 230s!!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Yay for super bowl!

fitwayoflife 02-04-2013 08:08 AM

Today's my official weigh in day, and I lost 1 pound. Wow, the weight is not coming off as fast this time around, even though I'm eating better and not binging. I'm at 242.4. At this rate, I'd be lucky to make it out of the 240's by the end of February.

April Snow 02-04-2013 08:57 AM

Congrats on the losses!!

And fitwayoflife, while I won't deny that I find losing weight quickly to be fun, I think it's important to remember that it's not a race. And where I am and what I am doing 20 lbs from now, 50 lbs from now or 75 lbs from (or whatever my goal ends up being), my life is going to look a lot like it does right now. So I'm trying to not worry about how quickly I get there, because the most important thing is still going to be to keep going.

fitwayoflife 02-04-2013 02:21 PM

Yeah, I'll just have to accept it. I was eager to get into the 220's quickly (because the last time I lost weight, I lost 40 pounds and had gotten to 230 then started gaining back because of financial reasons and depression). But I will just have to accept the slow losses.

JellyBelly1908 02-05-2013 11:38 AM

I weighed in at 240.0lbs last night. Only lost 0.2 lbs.

Oh, well - slow and steady wins the race, right?

charliee 02-05-2013 07:46 PM

Tziri almost there!
fitwayoflife every pound counts.
JellyBelly1908 you're so close. Hang in there!

I weighed in at 246.8 today, but also ate a lot of sodium hopefully I can balance it out over the week. Congrats everyone.

Daimere 02-05-2013 09:06 PM

246.7. -.7 lost.

Tziri 02-05-2013 09:08 PM

Grats to all the losses! Looks like a few of us will be leaving the forum soon (hopefully)!!
I am weighing around 240 in the morning so we'll see what tomorrow brings.

charliee 02-06-2013 09:00 PM

So this is week 3 for me on my "ever continuing" weight loss journey, and I am hanging in there. I normally stop between week 1 and 2 so watching my calories and exercising for 3 weeks straight is personally pretty pleasing.

It won't really feel real till I get to six weeks though I think. Hopefully by then I will have lost another 5 pounds and will be at the lowest weight I have been in 3 years.

Like everyone else I wish the weight would come off faster, but I just keep reminding myself that it took 12 years to get to my highest point, taking a couple of years to get it off shouldn't be a big deal.

Today I'm at 246.6. I'd like to get down a pound by the end of the week, which I'm hoping I can do if I can control my sodium. I always thought chocolate was a problem for me, but I've been able to limit that no problem. SALT is another story, I'm o.d'ing on the stuff.

Hope everyone had a good day. Cheers!

I was at 249.2 this morning so I'm joining you guys. I'm the slowest loser ever so I expect to be here for a very long time. The last time I was in the 240's was more than 20 years ago so I was very excited to see that number 4 this morning!

April Snow 02-07-2013 11:27 AM

welcome Unicorn!!! :bravo:

And congrats on the losses.

Looking like I'll be sticking around for longer than I might have wishes - scale was up 1 lb this morning. :( I am sure it's TOM but no guarantees of a whoosh although fingers crossed, of course.

Tziri 02-07-2013 05:18 PM

Grats to charliee for making it past your normal stopping points!! That's great.
I definitely understand how it's hard to be really happy about losses until you get below one of your lowest weights.

I'm stuck around 240 (240.2, 240.4, 240.2 ahhhhh)

This this this. In a week or a month I'll be smaller, and I won't remember THIS SPECIFIC STRUGGLE today, I'll just be happy that I've been through it. Such a balance it requires. Persistence and intensity and desire and a certain degree of equanimity.

Weighed in below 250 for the first time last Friday, then bounced up a bit. Had a very stressful week, but food was fine. I've now had several days consistently at 249 and was 248 today. Finally! I was mad at the scale, all this week, but if I think about it clearly I've lost four pounds in the last two weeks. Which is fine. Which is, really, what I HOPE for. So yeah.

Hey y'all!
