I love that feeling of going to the salon, charliee. I know exactly how you feel. I never get my hair looking as good as they do, and mine is pretty simple.

By the way, to your comments earlier, I do think that adding strength training in now is a good idea. I don't know that it will help anything SNAP BACK but I find it pretty enjoyable thus far. :)

I am SO glad the workweek is finally over!!!! I work with some flat out cuckoo birds!

I have been eating very clean and OP but I don't feel like I'm . . . um . . . shrinking. Does that make sense to anyone? I journal my foods and I haven't eaten any unhealthy or hunger-stoking foods. I don't count calories but by tracker does! I have not gone over 1600 at all. What it all boils down to is I'm scared to weigh myself. How silly is that??

Saturday is my weigh-in day. I guess I'll just take a big girl pill and do it!

This has been a good week. Once TOM disappeared I finally saw a drop. This morning was 247.3. Somehow the last two pounds has made a tremendous difference in my pants. The last pair of dress pants I had for work are starting to fall down. I really hate having to buy "disposable" clothes but I really can't go around work with my pants falling off so will have to go look for something.

Smaller Sizes! Woot Woot!

Congrats on being thinner than your pants! I went to LB this morning to exchange something and I found I am now a 14/16 in tops!! I can not believe it.:carrot: Hap Hap Happy Saturday, everyone!

Well, I kept my hair looking great for a day and half and then I had to get to the gym. It's a strange feeling to be itching to actually go to the gym instead of dreading it. :) I guess that means I've turned a corner.

mnemosyne I think you're right about the strength training. And I'm going to start tomorrow. I'm hoping for some Linda Hamilton arms, so I better hit the weights.

MissKoo Congrats on staying OP. Sometimes it takes a while for us to see the results even though they are there. But fitting into a smaller top means it's working right? Congrats on that!

Unicorn67 I know what you mean about droopy pants, I've had to purchase some belts lately to help with the issue. It's helping for now, but eventually I'll have to get some new clothes. AND I CAN'T WAIT!!! lol

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

The 230's are so close I can taste them! If I could eat them, that is.

I'm about 5 pounds away from breaking in. I've been eating really well the past few days, and have taken to weighing myself daily just to provide a gentle reminder of why I'm doing what I'm doing. I'm not nearly so attached to the number as I used to be.

I do need to start exercising though. I went for a walk with the husbeast and the dogs last night, which was a start, but I need to make more of an effort. I really don't like exercise, so it is going to be challenging.

Joining you all! I'm at about 243-244(bouncing around there the past few days). I weigh every morning(although I do have an "official" weigh in day once a week), I'm getting used to seeing it bounce up/down and not stressing about it-last week I bounced between 245-248, finally went down to 244 and bounced between 244-247 for a few days, then down to 243 and bouncing around 243-245 now...as long as it keeps moving downward at some point in the week, I am happy with that! I'm hoping to hit 239 within the next week, week and a half!

Daimere 02-24-2013 01:45 PM

So in theory (I totally don't believe this), I am 239. I really don't believe this. I didn't really sleep except for five hours. I'll wait till tomorrow night to see if it's true.

Woo hooo!!!! :carrot::carrot:

Daimere that's great news! Run don't walk to the next thread, we'll meet you there soon (I hope). :)

MissKoo 02-24-2013 08:44 PM

Pep talk to start our week!

Okay 240 chicks! Let's get out there and have a GREAT WEEK! We may not all get to the 230 thread at the same time but we'll all get there. I think I've got myself together to hit the workweek:
Healthy lunches ready to go.
Healthy leftovers set for dinner.
Cute, new haircut.:D
Bad@ss attitude. GOT IT!

Woot Woot! Let's go!

mnemosyne 02-25-2013 10:07 AM

Fare-well Daimere! Congrats! And good job unicorn!

Charliee - I think that is an important corner to turn. I feel good about working out too. I'm starting every day with 40 minutes on the treadmill and increasing speeds, but last week I was too busy to do my "lifting" DVD when I came home, as I had more work to do. I am going to try to correct that this week, but work busy-ness will continue for at least a few more weeks. Ugh!

divinemissR - taking dogs for a walk is great. They need it, and so do you! I recommend getting some portion of your exercise out of the way first thing, just having all your stuff folded and ready to go, so you basically have no excuse. Then, the exercise wakes you up and you feel better during the day, so there's a good incentive!

MissKoo - I think you've got this week well in hand. I like to plan ahead like that too. I don't have dinner made, though. I just have one dinner prepped so I'm going to have to cook sometime this week as well. >:(

Dropped a bit (finally) and hoping to see more movement this week!

MissKoo 02-25-2013 08:36 PM

Hope everyone had a great Monday. Mine was better than I expected - a dreaded deadline got pushed out a few more days. Whew!

mnemosyne - I just noticed your ticker. You've lost 126 pounds?? You are my new hero!!

Daimere 02-25-2013 09:53 PM

Today's weigh in was 238. I still can't really count it till tomorrow on official weigh in day. I'm extremely shocked. I even ate out on Sunday! Crazy sauce!

mnemosyne 02-26-2013 10:04 AM

I would totally count it, Daimere, but I'm like that. You clearly made great choices. Congrats!

Hah, thanks, MissKoo. I lost the first 40 lbs over the course of a couple of years. (Uh, really, over and over again), and have lost the next 86ish since last... April, 2012. I would love to get down to 230 by April, because that would be 100 lbs in a year. Here are some of my progress pics. The lowest ones are from 15 lbs ago!

Daimere 02-26-2013 09:07 PM

Official weigh in day says 240.0. DANG!
