I wish I could use that as an excuse, but no. I get sad around the holidays (long, personal story) so I only ate one plate of food for Thanksgiving dinner with 1/2 slice of cake. And I did not eat Christmas dinner at all. My life has been pretty stressful the last 6-8 months. And I haven't dieted or exercised properly in about 10-12 months.

Jelly, it must feel good to be back on track then. What is your first mini-goal?

LebenAlles 01-09-2013 08:58 AM

Hey Guys,

Glad to see I'm not the only one that strayed back here after making it to the 230's before the holidays. Mine gain was MAJOR, but I had a lot happen all at once and I've beat myself up enough over it. I think part of it was also that I lost some of that last weight through Rapid Fat Loss, which is an extremely strict diet that you're bound to gain from after getting off of it.

Anyways, already down 2 lbs from yesterday, so apparently there's still some water weight in there. Not excited about my Team Lunch at work today though...they all voted Shogun, a japanese hibach place, which means being good is going to be extra hard. I'm going to do my best though!

Hope everyone is doing well

lunarsongbird 01-09-2013 10:32 AM

Leben- Be strong today at lunch! :) Come back and celebrate when you do. What does your plan look like? What type of foods are you trying to stay away from?

It sounds like you are coming off the holiday season with a good approach going forward.

jenicra 01-09-2013 11:36 AM

LebenAlles - so good to see you back! I'm sorry you've been struggling, but you are so not alone! I've been within the same 5 pound range for weeks and weeks now, down, then up, down, then up. I've put together a few OP days now and am feeling good though - and that sounds like where you are too! Good luck this afternoon. I've never had hibachi, but there's gotta be miso soup, steamed rice, edamame right? Can I stick my nose in where it doesn't belong now? I hope you have returned to an eating plan that you can sustain long term. I know that for me, those things are tempting and that I crash HARD when the restrictions are taken away. And then it all ends up being for naught.

In other news, I hit a new low on the scale this morning! Wahoo! 242 today.

fitwayoflife 01-09-2013 03:29 PM

I'm at 248.6. I hope to get out of the 240's before January ends.

jenicra 01-10-2013 11:42 AM

Welcome fitway!

Weighed in at 242.4 this morning.

LebenAlles 01-10-2013 12:36 PM

Lunar - Thanks for the encouragement! I think I did really well at lunch actually. I had about six small bites of fried rice (they didnt offer a steamed option), none of the noodles, onion soup (sooo good and only 25 cals according to My Fitness Pal), and teriyaki chicken/shrimp. I ate all the shrimp and half the chicken, mainly because I was full. I took the rest with me and gave it to someone who doesnt havent to worry about calories as much, haha. I was pretty proud of myself...especially with the fried rice. I love that stuff. Then for dinner I had fish and grean beans to off set all the sodium and carbs I had for lunch.
As far as what I'm staying away from, I'm trying to stay in a 125-150 carb range, including everything (fruits and veggies as well). I took a look at the past six months of food logs and though I was mostly doing well staying in calories (aside from lately), I was doing horrible with carbs. Since my body responded so well to Rapid Fat Loss I figured I should incorporate that more into my diet, just in moderation.

Jenicra - Thanks, I'm glad to be back! I feel like from 300 down to 260 it was great to lose weight but I still felt super large. Now it seems like every lb lost actually shows up and makes me smaller. I'm approaching non-plus sized sizes in 20 or so pounds, so that's really exciting. This is going to be a good year, I can feel it!
Right now I'm doing seven days watching the carbs and following My Fitness Pal and then three days on RFL then switching again. That way I'm not freaking out when I'm coming off of RFL, like I did when I was doing it weeks at a time, but can still have that extra jolt so I don't stall out and get frustrated. That's been my cycle so far and I want to end it. Congrats on your low weight btw! That's awesome. You're almost to the next thread!

jenicra 01-10-2013 01:01 PM

The non-plus size clothes are a big draw aren't they? I'm glad you've figured out a plan that you can work and works for you! I look forward to snaking our way down the threads together! Sounds like you did well at your lunch! (Wish I could say the same for my dinner last night - I really didn't need that cheesecake!)

LebenAlles 01-11-2013 09:28 AM

247.4 this morning! I love those first weeks back on plan...really helps you hang in there.

Jenicra - Cheesecake is always necessary, isnt it? It should be. And yeah, I'm looking forward to it, too! 230's here we come!

lunarsongbird 01-11-2013 09:56 AM

I've been trying to figure out exactly where "plus" size ends. I haven't purchased clothes in FOREVER. About two years ago I raided my mother's closet and have been wearing pretty much the same thing for years. Good thing I can wear black pants often. I wear two pairs of black pants and many skirts. I also have a pair of grey paints and navy blue ones. That's it....

I carry almost all my weight on my bottom half. I'm VERY much a pear. I was just thinking yesterday that a mini-goal should be to get in size 12. But honestly...I'm terrified of going shopping again.
