Woooohoooo FINALLY the scale moved down a pound this morning!! (After being "stuck" or moving the wrong direction for 10 days!) 240s here I come!

Still staring at 252. :(
I'm not really too bothered by it. I'm stoked that I haven't fallen of the wagon after seeing the same number for a whole week! I'm slowly lowering my calories a bit, aiming for 1,800. I was eating 1,950-2,000 everyday and I think the first couple pounds was water weight. When I tell MyFitnessPal that I want to lose 1 1/2 lbs per week while sedentary it lowers my calories all the way to 1,680. I think I'll start by lowering it to 1,870 and adding in exercise. I've been letting myself adjust to counting calories again before trying to slip in exercise. I'm going to go for a walk right after work today, no excuses! I'm a lazy bum and my favorite thing after work is to lay on the couch under a blanket and watch terrible television shows. I've decided that every other day, if I want to lay on the couch and watch terrible tv shows, I've got to exercise for 30 minutes. :) |

Well, I got a 254 again yesterday but at least it has not gone back up. I did a hard two hour water workout yesterday morning and had a really good eating day so I am hoping for another pound next time... we shall see. I sure am anxious to be graduating out of here. :) |

I'm Linda, and I'm an oooooldie here in the 100lb Club. I've been up and down several times over the past ten years, usually making it about halfway before *poof*....for some reason I just let it go. I started this week at 270 (my all-time, lifelong high :cry: ), and am having the wonderful week one wooosh. I wish every week could be so kind! Welcome back, Famo! I tried to eat pretty healthy yesterday, adding in more veggies throughout the day than usual, and then I got a really good night's rest and I think it pushed my right back down to 250. :) I'm fairly excited about it. I just hope it settles there for a few days instead of heading back up! I didn't reach my caloric goal of 1,870 but the extra calories I ate were from vegetables so I imagine my body wasn't bothered. Today my goal is to spend two 15min breaks at work walking around the campus at a good pace and eat Myfitnesspal's recommended 1,940, counting the veggies too. In a few weeks I'll lower it to 1,870 and then 1,800 with exercise to shoot for a 1 1/2 lb loss a week. I got this!!! And so do you guys! Good luck! |
Welcome, Linda!! :welcome: And hey, you will go through this thread faster than you think! It does not seem that long since I was so happy to graduate into here, and now here I am getting close to on the way out! BTW I like your ticker idea of 5 pounds at a time instead of 10 like mine. I think I will change it. I like to see RESULTS and progress.

Yes Misti! I'm on my way out, hopefully. I was close last week at 250 but I went back up to 253ish for a few days so I'm crossing my fingers that next week I'll be saying hello to 249! That's my first mini-goal, in fact. :)
I like to keep my 210 mini-goal ticker in my sig because 40lbs isn't that bad and 210 is very close to 199, which is like my BIG mini-goal. ;) On my blog I have a page full of tickers for 249, 230, 210, 199 and so on and so forth, so lots of mini-goals to reach! |
Just wanted to check in. Over the weekend I weighed in at 261. I am hoping for at least 2 poundsto see the 250s. Come on two pounds, Mama needs it! Not a one, not a one! *rolling the dice*

Hey Guys!
The 260's seem to be a lot nicer than the 270's were, I've gotta say. I was 263.9 this morning, which means the 250's are right around the corner! Since I've taken up calorie counting in the past month instead of my previous method, I decided to stop exercising for a week (I was exercising every day), just so I can focus on my calorie intake and figure out exactly what my body needs food wise. Then I'll start to incorporate it again slowly but surely next week. So far it's going good...I've even managed to forgo most of the guilt from taking a break AND am still seeing the results on the scale. While I'm most definitely looking forward to the destination, it truly is largely about the journey, am i right? |
Yuck. I'm up for the second day in a row. I assume it's from exercising hard, but I'm really anxious to see the 240s, and I'm not happy to see the scale going up for two days instead of down.
