Good job Bea! :D

Welcome savages! I'm hoping that losing weight will lower my blood pressure too. We can do it!

Yesterday I ran 0.43 miles. WOW! Today I'm aiming for 0.45. I can definitely do it. I know I can. And at some point I'll be able to run it without holding on to the treadmill by the end! I'll get there.

Welcome Savages! You WILL get to your goals. There is so much support here and we will root you along every step of the way! :)

HealthyMeWannaBe - that is awesome!! I'm actually going to start a jogging regime on the treadmill on Monday so I'm looking forward to reaching some milestones like you! Great job!

This is most definitely most supportive place I have seen in a really long time!!!

: ) I've always been told not to weigh in more than once a week, but I was at the gym and the scale was there and I was curious.. down another 2 pounds!! This is so amazing! Ah.

So that means I've hit my first mini-goal!!

savages 08-09-2012 01:42 AM

Thanks.

Thank you all. I am glad to meet people that cheer me on and who are getting healthy like I am and understand. It is good to have support. Keep exercising everyone! Exercise does wonders! It can relieve stress, help you sleep better, keep you in a good mood, help you lose weight, help your blood pressure and even save you life! Be strong, you all are!

:congrat: for (approx.) every 5 pounds lost: :congrat: :congrat:

HealthyMeWannabe 08-09-2012 05:41 AM

Hooray bea! :cheer: Congrats on reaching your first mini goal!

beahawkins 08-09-2012 05:44 PM

Healthy: Thanks, curiosity hit again today and I was up 2 pounds. I am keeping the 254 as my number cause if I hit it once, then is should stick in the next few days. But from now on my only checking once a week.

I'm a daily scale watcher. For me I find that it helps me stay accountable each day. I know if I have a food binge the night before I'll see it on the scale the next day so it helps me stay honest. :)

Today I ran 0.5 miles! :running: I can't believe I ran a half a mile!!!!! :cheer: That's the best NSV ever!

Also, today I found that I had to tighten my bra. It is hooked into the first eye now instead of the second and there's nowhere to go now but to a smaller bra size! I may soon be trading in my 46DDD's for 44DDD's! Sorry for the TMI but it made me feel good. :)

beahawkins 08-09-2012 09:28 PM

I would be a daily scale watcher, except I don't know if I could handle the disappointment of fluctuation. Although, today I did extra time on weights and an burnt an extra 300 calories.. (I'm taking a break this weekend, thought I should make it up somehow) That is probably the last time I will do that much extra.. My right foot started feeling numb. Probably not a good sign.

Good job on the .5 miles!!! and new bras/underlings are the best!

angieand2girls 08-10-2012 04:26 PM

I probably will be a daily scale watcher for a period of time when I'm in maintenance just to make sure I'm not regaining the weight back. While I'm losing weight, those fluctuations annoy the crap out of me LOL, so I choose not to weigh. I can obsess VERY easily. :)

I have been stuck in the 250s and 260s for a very long time also it keeps going up and down up and down up and down and I'm tired of it. I'll join this! I want to get out of the 250s and out of the 200s all together very soon!

Currently I'm at 259.5 I plan to do some watermelon fasting and maybe even some water fasting I need this weight off fast. Fruit only until my other fruit is gone with watermelon for breakfast. Also I plan to do some walking outside for about 2-3 miles and visit the gym about 3 days a week for some workouts as well. And to make sure to drink my gallon of water a day.

HealthyMeWannabe 08-11-2012 10:44 AM

Welcome! You can do it!

healthyginger 08-11-2012 05:01 PM

HI Everyone !

:) Lost 3 pds , again! this week. I'm now down 25 pds to 254. :)

No way I could weigh daily. I need to see that lost each week and I have. Your right Savage I've started a 'real" exercise program that's 2 DVD's for folks in a chair. I can't stand but a minute or two. It's kicking my butt so it must be good.

HealthyMeWannabe 08-11-2012 05:18 PM

Wow! Nice loss healthyginger! :cheer: Well done!

angieand2girls 08-11-2012 09:09 PM

Great job healthyginger and all that are losing those pounds!!

HealthyMeWannabe 08-12-2012 08:32 AM

This week the scale wasn't kind and showed a 1 lb. gain. Back up to 259 for me. The only thing I can attribute the gain to is muscle. I've exercised 5 days this week. Four days I ran and biked. The other I took a 2 hour hike. My clothes are fitting better and two co-workers told me they could tell I am losing weight. The scale's just being fickle this week. It'll cooperate soon, I am sure. In the meantime I am sticking with my plan and continuing to do what I need to do. :) I'm not disappointed in myself this week at all. I am disappointed that the scale's not reflecting this week's hard work. Oh well. It happens.
