I'm totally back on plan today. I know that carbs are not my friend. If I show any loss on Monday it will surprise the heck out of me. Moving forward!
|
On plan day yesterday and posted 255.2...progress!
|
Now this is a group I am happy to join now (and hopefully we all leave soon)
I just got to 269 on Wed after being in the 270's for two months! I am really working on less treats ( I usually have two treat days a week where sugar is OK in reasonable amounts Sat & Wed.) but I know it triggers my hunger for other things... so perhaps just one day a week till I am in the 250's. |
Me too! Hopefully will be in the lower 260s- high 250s by next week! Ah fingers crossed! Good luck everyone!

made it in
I'm so happy I made it in this group. Weighed in at 269 today. Down 10 pds from 279 in 1st 9 days. I have a bio in 100+ if interested. I'm counting calories between 1200 min. 1700 max. I've lost weight before, but never to goal let alone maintain, I'd always starve my way down fasting up to 6-800 cal. then bomb out. I'm trying a healthier approach this time.:)
|
Weighed in this morning at 262.4, which is a 1.8 lb. loss this week! :cheer: I am stoked, especially since I really didn't do anything to help my weight loss along this week at all. I am down 18 lbs. total and getting close to kicking the 260's to the curb goodbye!
|
My scale may be teasing me but I was 259.2 this morning. I ate cake yesterday so I can't be to excited yet.. but I can only hope that I finally made it to the 250's. We shall see..
|
Welcome everyone who has joined recently! Glad to have more group members.
I weighed in at 253.4 this morning!! YEEHAW, I haven't seen that number is years. Hoping the 250sbest are a thing of the past soon. :) |
It's terribly hot down here in Georgia today. Yesterday was a record setting high of 106 degrees for us. Today was also in the 100's. My family and I went swimming today and yesterday. The pool felt great in that icky nasty heat, and the exercise is an added bonus! :) I am really hoping to lose 3 lbs. this week so I can say goodbye to the 260's!
|
HealthyMeWannaBe didn't you hear there is a cold front coming. We are only going to be in the 90s instead of the 100s. :)

Wow! I wasnt expecting an active thread for anyone in my weight range! Over in the 20 somethings forum there arent usually any threads active over 180s...lol
I had lost 70 pounds a couple years ago. I was down to 180, my lowest adult weight ever. Then i started dating my bf and gained it all back plus some. I'm currently hovering around 262, and i have to get this weight off. Its killing me, literally. I have 2 herniated disks in my spine, one in the lumbar region (lower back) and one in the cervical region (neck). I am in pain all the time. Everything hurts. I cant sleep more then 4 hours at a time because laying down hurts. I. Am. Miserable. I know losing weight isnt a cure for this, but i'm guessing that taking 100 ponunds off my frame will relieve a lot of the pressurevon my spine, and there will be less compression of the disks, which will lead to less pain. I am currently trying to decide how i want to do this. I will probably follow the weight watchers program at home without paying. I've tried calorie counting and i just have trouble sticking to it. On August 27th i'm moving out of my parents house and into my first apartment. It will be MUCH easier for me to control my food (currently my parents buy the groceries and eat tons of junk) and i will have a pool to exercise in (its the only thing that doesnt hurt my back....and it decompresses my spine)....but until then i will just try and eat less and play dance central on the kinect (if it doesnt hurt too much, just got it and havent tried yet) and hopefully that will help for now. I am glad this thread seems active because weight loss is such a struggle for me. Moving just is physically painful for me, and it makes it so hard to stay motivated. I have almost given up, but i know i need this. I think my biggest motivation is that i'm going to be gone for a while and then when i come back home to visit i want to shock all my friends and family with how small i will look. It may be shallow motivation, but right now thats all i've got and i so i'm going to hold on to it. I'll do an official starting weigh in once the sun comes up. Right now its 5am and i just cant sleep. Lol |
Oh the dreaded heat, I am with y'all on that!
Rebelle thanks :) I usually have a veggie garden but never got around to it this year, what are you growing? You can buy the lumbar pillows on Amazon... though i boight special leg pillow and I ended up just using my regular one. I am with you on the daily pain (i have foot &ankle issues) Ibuprofen helps me through. DivineFidelity-I am a 20 something as well and I do agree that weightloss will help to some degree (at least I hope so). Welcome! |
We just got some rain here in Tennessee.. Had a severe storm warning and lots of wind, but it was beautiful to see the rain. The temps didn't fall much though.
I was 257.6 this morning and brings me to almost 30 lbs lost. I'm finding it all easier this time. I think it's because I'm not focusing on how much I have to lose. I'm thinking about the next set of numbers.. gotta get to the 240's now. Not thinking beyond that helps me carry on. |
I'm happy to say that I weighed in at 266 this morning. Sadly, I think it may have had something to do with me getting food poisoning. Serves ME right for going out to eat. :P
