Runningfromfat - First of all, I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I know how devastating that can be. I had a miscarriage 30 years ago and my daughter had a miscarriage four years ago. I understand what you are going through. Just stay strong and realize that this happens to a lot of people. Just rest your body and mind for the next few weeks and only start your exercise program when you are ready.

You are doing a great job!

Keep strong......

thanks so much for the encouragement! Mentally I'm trying to use this time to spend with family and relax. What's weird is physically I fell actually really, really well (the best I've felt in 12 weeks basically...). I've had almost no pain (i had a D&C and even before that there was little pain). It's very strange the disconnect between my mind and body. It's helped to remind myself that this happens 20% of the time and my family has been so supportive.

I'd actually like to exercise ASAP but will follow my doctor's advice and not do anything for 2 weeks. Exercise always helps me to relax so much, especially when I'm stressed so I'm very much looking forward to it.

Hi everyone!
runningfromfat- I'm so sorry about your miscarriage. I hope you feel better soon sweetheart.

I'm still bouncing back and forth from 189-191 for the last month. I'm happy though I took my measurements this morning and I have lost another inch in my waist, hips and thighs. My arms are the same. I really hope to lose some more in my upper arms before Summer comes. I would like to wear sleeveless shirts this summer. I haven't worn those in years. Have a wonderful- restful- peaceful- weekend everyone!

running from fat, sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I hope you are taking things easy and being kind to yourself xxx

Well, this week I saw the scales go as low as 192, and thought I'd be getting out of here fast. But today, I'm back up at 197.5, what's going on?! I hope it's due to the water weight from my paining muscles after a mental workout on Tuesday, and not all a result of the bag of toffees I 'accidentally' ate last night. Back in control now though, just done a great workout and about to eat a healthy dinner, with no Friday eve treats, too much slacking this week for that!

Glad I've moved my official weigh in to Sunday now thanks to the challenges I've signed up for, hope the scales are back down again by then!

Good luck all, let's get outta here!

Thanks everyone for all the hugs. I'm doing well and actually really itching to work out again. I'm going to see if I can at least convince DH to go with me on a walk today, although the weather looks horrible.

I seem pretty stuck at 193lbs. Granted, I just had a 12 hour plane ride, which always mean I am put on water weight. But I'm a daily weigher and I haven't even seen any fluctuations one way or another. At least I'm maintaining so I guess I shouldn't be complaining. It just makes me want to work out that much more, though...

Hi Everyone - This is a flyby as I'm off again; busy day. Faced the "dreaded" weigh-in today. Lost 1 lb, which is better than a kick in the you know what! And much better than a gain but I would like to see a "woosh". Maybe next Tues., eh? We lost our "fake spring" today as it has snowed off & on - not much, but still SNOW!! Anyway hope all are doing well. TTYL............

I would like to join the group. I weighed in at 197.0 this morning. I am losing about 5 lbs a month and it is soooo slow. I've decided to up my calories to see if that might help. This is the lowest I've weighed in a decade... Good luck to all!

Welcome 81togo.

I am also averaging a 5-pound weight loss per month. It can be so frustrating that the weight is coming off slowly, but it is coming off, and staying off.

I never know from week to week what will work. Some weeks I work out so hard and watch every crumb I eat and nothing happens. Then there are the weeks that I might add a few additional calories and the weight falls off. Who knows.... I do watch my daily calorie intake (1,600 per day) and work out every single day.

The last two weeks I have been all over the map going from a solid 193 - 194 back up to 196! I suspected TOM was the culprit even though I've never noticed any particular issues in the past (didn't pay attention, perhaps??).

But now that it's past, today I weighed in at 191.0. Getting close!

Thanks, Toonses! Yes, same here some weeks I watch everything and the scale does not change. I keep telling myself slow and steady wins the race.

Congrats Kaebaka! You are almost out of the 190s.

81togo - Slow and Steady is my mantra as well. In fact I have those very words taped up on my bathroom mirror...

I'm still holding tight at 193lbs BUT today was the first day I could work out again. I just did some simple shadow boxing, sit-ups, push-ups and squats to see how that feels and if I'm up to it tomorrow I might try the 30 Day Shred on Level 1.

However, I decided to take my measurements and normally I'm thrilled about losing inches. I did my waist and I'm down to a 36.5" waist (last I measured when I was almost out of the 200's it was 38"), so that's GREAT news!

BUT I measured my chest and I've dropped two inches there, which is also good (46" to 44") but the part that I'm annoyed about is under my chest it went from 36" to 34" (and it was actually more like 33.5...). That means I went from a 36J to a 34J, not cool!
At least when I was at 36" I could grab a 38 band size bra at a store like Lane Bryant's and it would fit well because their cup sizes are completely off, now I'm definitely going to be stuck ordering online. And I was wondering why my bra felt so strange!

Today I weighed-in somewhere between 191-192 (my scale is not digital and it´s in kilos so it´s hard to be really precise. So I´ll say 192lbs for now, which is a 1lb loss!

I hoping now that I can exercise again that the pounds start coming off more quickly.

I´m also really excited about getting into the 180´s because I have two mini-goals there. The first is 188- my highest prepregnancy weight and 185-overweight BMI!!! I´m definitely going to have to celebrate 185, I´m just not sure how.
