A pretty darn healthy treat

You know those bananas that are going all brown and spotty in your fruit basket right now? Peel those rascals, put ‘em in a plastic bag & toss ‘em in your freezer. Soon they will be frozen and you can make “ice cream”.

I have a bag of frozen strawberries & a bag of frozen blueberries in the freezer too.

In a blender, add one frozen banana, about a cup of strawberries and a handful of blueberries. Sometimes I’ll also add about 1/2 cup of milk or a container of yogurt.

Whirl until creamy and enjoy!

The banana gives it a creamy texture & it tastes like soft-serve ice cream to me. This is so good and I kept forgetting about it until I started leaving the blender out on the counter. This concoction is so thick that I have broken numerous wooden utensils pushing down the frozen strawberries into the whirly thing on blender ~ beware! I tried putting finished ice cream in the freezer, but the texture is lost and it turns hard & icy.

I’ve made this for my son but have added a little sugar or Truvia (fake sugar) because it is too tart for him.

    I’ve done this! Mine didn’t get creamy, but it was yummy anyways. I have three more in the freezer ready to go.

    I do that too! I sometimes add 20 calorie hot cocoa mix to it. But yeah - they godda be frozen to make the texture right.

    I am gonna have one of those tonight.
