Upside Down
Uncategorized 3 Comments »So as I was pounding the pavement (aka, the treadmill), good ole Jack Johnson came on and was singing to me…
Who’s to say
What’s impossible
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread its wings
There’s no stopping curiosity
And by sing to me, I mean singing. to. me. It was like, wow, he is so right! There’s no stopping me from reaching every goal that I set for myself. I just absolutely love this song today.
It’s so easy to get caught up in what we WANT to be, instead of being proud of what we already are. I mean, I ran 3.35 miles on the treadmill today. And it wasn’t that bad. If my ipod hadn’t died (damn having to charge the stupid thing) I would have been able to go even longer. I remember a few short months ago when I couldn’t run over 2 miles! I wanted to run 3 so bad, and it felt so far away. I was thinking “man, I SUCK!” but really, everything just takes time. And like Jack says, with each new day I can feel a change in everything. Really. I know, I am so profound! ha!
I have run every day for the last 7 days. O.M.G. It is totally a record or something. And with today’s miles the grand total is… 20.38 miles this week. Crazy! And, I weighed in today (since my normal weigh in was Wednesday’s at work, and I can’t do that obviously, I picked the same time)… I was a little over 2 down. Seriously. YAY! This is so, oh so, awesome!
Okay, and that isn’t the only thing down. I have noticed since I haven’t been on the treadmill in a while, my heartrate stays way lower than it used to. My body was getting used to my usual speed, even though I still feel like I am gonna DIE! So, I got a new heart rate moniter today. I am gonna heart this thing!!
Hope all you chickies are having a fabulous day!!!

I am 100 calories under AND I got 25 minutes on the bike while my son had B-Ball practice. Pinch me, this day is too good!
